Chapter 14
Snow stood at the foot of the stairs as he waited to see Corrin in her ball gown before he left to oversee a few minor things for the social gathering that was taking place at his Master's Manor. And so the lion butler took out his pocket watch and took a quick look at the time before he heard Corrin's bedroom door open and close. He then heard a pair of footsteps walk down the hallway until the anthro's green eyes laid upon the princess who was wearing a light purple ball gown that was cut off from the shoulders, but still had material that went down the arms and to the wrists while also leaving the inner part of both of her elbows bear as well. He then watched as she placed a white gloved hand onto the railing and began to walk down the stairway.
But the young woman was not able to get that far as a voice called out, "Corrin, wait! Wait for Garmr!" After he had heard this Snow then saw Garmr, who was now wearing a nice looking texudo as he caught up to the noblewoman. He then saw the anthro dog offer her his arm while he added, "Please let Garmr walk you down the stairs."
"Awe, sure Garmr. Thank you." Corrin replied, as Snow saw her link her arm with the anthro dog's.
Once that had been done the butler looked on as both Corrin and Garmr carefully walked down the stairs until they had reached the wooden floor below. And upon reaching the floor the two unlinked their arms to which the black and green furred dog did his best not to walk on all fours thus ruining his tuxedo. But while he did this the white furred Transient walked up to Corrin as he told her, "You look absolutely lovely in that dress, Lady Corrin."
"Thank you, Snow. Although I have to give you the credit for getting me such a beautiful dress." The young woman replied, as she pushed some of her hair behind one of her ears. She then looked off to the side when she added, "By the way, you don't mind if I don't go to the party with you right away, do you? Because you see someone is going to come by here and pick me up."
"Ah, I see. So you acquired a date for this evening did you?" Snow asked, to which he saw her nod her head thus answering his question. Seeing this prompted the lion to smile before he continued, "Then I am happy for you, Lady Corrin. So would I happen to know this person who is accompanying you to the party this evening?"
"You might. But I'm going to leave it at that for now since I want it to be a surprise." The princess replied, with a big smile on her face.
Getting this response caused the Transient to sigh as he replied back, "Very well. Then Garmr and I are off. But I hope you will enjoy yourself at my Master's social gathering tonight."
"I'm certain that I will." Corrin reassured him, before both he and Garmr left the house a few moments later.
Thirty minutes had gone by since both Snow and Garmr had left the house thus leaving Corrin alone which led to her just looking up at the clock and staring at it as the time slowly ticked by. So she was quite surprsied when she heard a knock on the front door to her home. However, she had a feeling she knew who was standing outside of it. And so she placed her hand on the doorknob and pulled the door open thus revealing Gyobu standing in front of her in a very nice looking tuxedo. Although the young woman couldn't help but notice that the clothing seemed a little tight on the muscle gutted tanuki. Of course it wasn't enough to where she thought he looked uncomfortable in any way, but it certainly looked snug to say the least.
And when she finally caught herself staring at him she blushed a light shade of pink and said, "Wow Gyobu, you look amazing in that tuxedo."
"Thank you. And may I say you look simply radiant in that dress, Princess Corrin." The tanuki replied, before he took her hand and brought it to his lips and placed a short kiss on the back of it. This however, only caused her blush to turn red as he let go of her hand and continued, "So are you ready to depart for the Manor?"
"I um, yes...yes I am." Corrin let out, while she grabbed her hand bag for the evening and then stepped outside. And once the she had used her key to lock the front door she turned to the beastman and kept going, "So how will we be getting there exactly?"
"Why by a limo of course." The Transient happily told her, before he offered her an arm.
"Oh, right. Of course." The princess let out, once she had linked her arm to his own and he led her to the vehicle.
Azura and Nyarl continued to dance on the ballroom floor after the anthro hyena had finished setting up all of his equipment for the performance for later on in the night. But as they danced the light blue haired princess couldn't help but move her gaze from one side of the room to the other. She did this in hopes of finally finding Princess Corrin, after having to deal with her Father wasting all of Nohr's time and resources on looking for her. However, while she did this she couldn't help but see the tuxedo wearing hyena grin at her as he suggested, "Come on, relax a little bit, sweetheart. Because I can tell you right now that you won't find Corrin by looking from one end of the room to the other."
"Yes, I suppose you're right." The blacked dressed and vial covered young woman let out, before she put her full attention on the Transient. Once she had done this though she added, 'Besides I'll know if she's here or not once I have concluded with my performance tonight."
And upon saying this Azura could tell that this had put the black furred anthro in a good mood since his grin only seemed to grow while he told her, "Yeah, now you're getting it! However, if you'd like I can find her for you." He then leaned down to her left ear and continued in a whispered, "Because remember your wish is my command, babe."
"Very well. Then I shall leave finding Corrin to you. However, once you have done this please come back as soon as possible." Azura instructed, to which she heard the hyena let out a light laugh.
Once he had done this he replied back to her still in a hushed tone, "I assure you that I can do this without having to leave your side, Princess." Then from out of the corner of her right eye the young woman saw a double of the beasmtan appear next to him before it began to walk away from them. Nyarl then proceeded to move his face away from her ear while he added, "There, now we can continue to enjoy each other's company without having to find Corrin. Isn't that wonderful, Your Highness?"
"Yes, I suppose it is." Azura admitted, before the two resumed dancing. But as they did this she mentally thought to herself, "So he can make copies of himself can he? That is quite an impressive ability. Perhaps I can use this to my advantage."
Gyobu and Corrin continued to stare into each other's eyes as they danced until the song came to an end. Once this had happened the tanuki saw the young woman's smile only grow with happiness as he commented, "I'm having a wonderful time, Gyobu."
"I am having a wonderful time as well, Corrin." He reassured her, before the next song began to play. Once this happened he gave her a big smile as well while he added, "So shall we continue to dance? Or did you want to go get some refreshments?"
"Well if it's okay with you I'd like to keep dancing through a few more songs." The young woman confessed, to which the beastman just chuckled in response.
But before the two could continue to dance the anthro tanuki felt a tap on his left shoulder followed by a voice when it said, "Forgive me for interrupting your time with Lady Corrin. But since I have some free time I was hoping to share at least one dance with her tonight."
Hearing this prompted Gyobu to turn and see Snow standing behind him. This only caused him to smile at the lion while he told him, "Of course, of course. I'll just go get something to drink while you two share a dance together."
"Thank you for your understanding." The butler told him, to which he then took Corrin's hand and thus began to dance while the tanuki walked away.
But when he did this the beastman couldn't help but notice something strange. That being the fact that on the way to the refreshments table the tanuki thought he had seen two of the same Transient. One that was dancing with a woman that had light blue hair and the second one stalking around through the crowd with their eyes on Corrin. This prompted Gyobu's eyebrows to narrow as he thought to himself, "Hmm, I wonder what is going on here? I'd best keep an eye on that one. This way I can step in if he tries to do anything with Corrin, or if she looks uncomfortable. And for that matter who is that woman dancing with the other hyena? I do not believe I have ever seen her here in Tokyo before. I fear something is not right."
