Chapter 26
The sun began to set in Tokyo as Corrin walked down the sidewalk with her suitcase in hand after she had left the house that she had lived in for years thanks to Snow. But while she made her way through the city she soon realized that she hadn't completely thought of a place that was in Tokyo but was good distance away from the city. And sadly she never thought to ask the lion Transient for suggestions on the matter since it was most liely already hard for him to see her go to begin with. And so the young woman couldn't help but release a heavy sigh form her lips while she commented, "This isn't good. If I don't find a place to stay for the night I'm going to be sleeping out in the streets tonight..."
But while Corrin waited for the crossing light to turn green she saw a group of people on the other side of the road that consisted of both humans and many other Transients, to which the young woman saw included Gyobu. And when she saw him look over in her direction Corrin quickly looked away while she thought to herself, "Oh no, it's Gyobu. I can't let him see me. Because saying goodbye to him would be even worst then a few hours ago when I said goodbye to Snow and Garmr..."
Sadly once Corrin had turned her head away and was deep in her own thoughts she had failed to notice the large tanuki as he saw her and then walked over to her. And before she knew it he was standing right in front of her and asked, "Corrin, why do you have that suitcase with you? You weren't thinking about dealing with the Nohrians on you're own were you?"
"Um well yes I was actually. Or at the very least I was hoping to get out of the main city so no one else can get dragged into dealing with my situation along with me." The princess confessed, to which she let out a heavy sigh.
After doing this however, the young woman felt the tanuki place a hand onto her right shoulder, before he told her, "I understand that you wish to not have anyone else get involved with your problems. But did I not tell you that you don't have to deal with it on your own?"
"Yes, I know that you're willing to help me, Gyobu. But when the time comes for me to fight to stay in Tokyo, just promise me you won't try to help, alright?" Corrin pleased, as she looked up at him. And once she had done so she added, "Because I-I'd hate for something to happen to you.."
"I understand. But please at the very least allow me to take you to someplace that I know is away from the city. The anthro raccoon dog replied, before the young woman found herself being led by the Transient down the street.
Gyobu continued to lead the way for Corrin, even when they had reached the forest. Once they arrived there he then took her to a deserted cabin that was a ways past the lake where he had taken her fishing some time ago. This took a bit of time to where once they had arrived there the sun had completely set giving way to night. This lead to the Transient to slowly opene the door before he flipped on the main light switch. Doing so caused the log home to be filled with light to which he smiled down the young woman and said, "Here we are. I hope this cabin will be a suitable place for you to stay in tonight."
"Yes, this will be just fine." Corrin replied, before the tanuki saw her look up at him. Upon doing so he saw her give him a soft smile when she continued, "Thank you for bringing me here. Now I'm not nervous for when I try to defend myself from the Nohrians."
"You're welcome. But just because I brought you here does not mean that I was planning on leaving you here by yourself." Gyobu explained, as he ushered her inside and then closed the door once he was inside himself.
After he had done this though he saw the young woman look down at the ground while she muttered, "That's very nice of you, Gyobu. But I promise that I'll be fine on my own."
This response though prompted the anthro to shake his head from left to right when he replied, "I'm sorry, but if I did that then I would most certainly worry about you the whole time. So I will just sleep on the couch and you can take the bedroom tonight."
"Alright, I can see that you're going to stand your ground on the matter. And I guess I will admit having company here would be nice..." Corrin let out, as a slightly bigger smile formed on her face. She then continued with, "But since you showed me where this cabin was in the first place. Then you should sleep on the bed while I take the couch."
"No, no, that won't do." The muscle gutted beastman quickly protested back, as he placed a hand underneath his chin. And while he closed his eyes and thought of a sudation he softly added, "There has to be some way that we could make this work..."
Upon saying this though the tanuki was broken out of his thoughts when the human suggested with a blush on her face, "Um actually there is one thing we could do." Hearing this caused him to open his eyes and look at the young owman with a raised eyebrow before she swallowed a lump in her throat and kept going, "We...We could share the bed together like how we did back when you stayed with me after Nyarl..."
"Yes, I remember that night." The tanuki interrupted, as to not really think back on the reason why he had stayed with her. However, once the idea had sunk in a light blush also appeared on his face when he went on, "But if you feel that is the easiest solution then I promise to try and make you as comfortable as possible."
After a few hours had pasted Corrin walked down the hallway towards the bedroom in one of her night gowns before she reached the doorway to the bedroom in the cabin to which she saw was left open. This caused her to think back on when she accidentally walked into the guest room and saw the large muscled back of the tanuki along with the front of his body when he had turned around. The slivered haired human remember how his muscles were tense and bugling, and also how round , soft and yet firm his stomach looked. And of course there was the large bulge which only caused her face to turn a dark shade of red as she shook her head and told herself, "No, don't think about Gyobu like that. Even if you find him attractive regardless of him telling you that he wasn't the age that he appears to be." And internal battle with herself only got worse once she was standing in the doorway and saw the large tanuki laying on the bed with a book in one of his hands with just his underwear on. This prompted her face to go even darker then ever before as she added, "Gods, why does he have to look so attractive to me right now? Okay Corrin, you can do this. Just take some deep breathes and everything will be alright."
But when she started to do this the princes instantly stopped when she Gyobu look over at her while he asked, "Is everything alright, Corrin? Because you seem to be very nervous for some reason."
"N-No, everything's fine." Corrin quickly reassured the beastman, before she turned off the light once she saw the tanuki place the book onto a nearby nightstand. And upon reaching the left side of the bed the noblewoman saw the tanuki had taken most in not all of the bed due to it being only a single compared to her old bed at her former home which was a double bed.
And not to her surprise this did not go unnoticed by the beastman as he let out an embarrassed chuckle and remarked, "Forgive me for taking all of bed space, Corrin. But I must admit that when I would sometimes stay here during a two or three day fishing trip this was never a problem." A light blush then formed on his face while he smiled at her and continued, "So I hope you won't mind using me as a living pillow tonight."
"Um, n-no, that's fine I mean it can't be helped..." The princess let out, before she trailed off and she got on top fo the tanuki.
She then felt her face heat up again when she felt him cover both of them up with the sheet before she felt both of his arms gently warp around her. And once he had moved her to where her head was on top of his right pectoral she felt his warm breathe against the top of her head when he softly told her, "Goodnight, my princess."
"Goodnight, Gyobu..." Corrin softly replied back, before she swallowed another lump in her throat After doing this she knew that it was now or never as she added, "I-I love you."
At first the young woman did not hear a response from the tanuki. Instead she felt him unwrap his arms from around her body. Once he had done this it caused her to look up at him with concern and regret for telling him that. However, this feeling of dread quickly vanished upon feeling Gyobu gently place a finger underneath her chin before she found herself staring into his eyes. And then before she knew it the human found her lips being softly pressed against the tanuki's for a few seconds. This caused her eyes to widen in surprise, and yet it did not last for after a little bit of time had passed she saw Gyobu break the kiss. And upon doing so she felt him gently run a hand down the right side of her face as he told her, "Thank you for telling me your feelings, my princess. Because I love you with all of my heart."
After that had been said Corrin found her head resting against the anthro's pectoral once more and her body wrapped within his arms. And yet the young woman couldn't help but smile upon hearing how he felt about her. And so the two soon enough feel asleep as the stars shined in the night sky outside of the cabin.
