Chapter 27
Azura and Xander stood outside of the princess's castle as they waited for Nyarl to return from leaving for Tokyo to see what time of day it was in that world. And before the two royals knew it the beastman returned from seemingly out of nowhere with a large tooth filled grin on his face while he proclaimed, "Alright babe, we're good to go since it's early afternoon right now."
"I see. Thank you for doing that for me, Nyarl." The princess replied, with a smile on her face.
Upon saying this the noblewoman saw the hyena bow at her. And once he was starting to stand up straight again she saw a second hyena standing next to the first one. She then saw the first Nyarl wink at her when he replied, "You're welcome, babe." The second one then had a static look on his face as he added, "And since we split ourselves into two, there won't be any need to make a second trip to Tokyo from here."
"Impressive thinking, Nyarl. But I must ask, how exactly will you be taking us to Tokyo?" The prince asked, once a confused expression crossed his face.
Upon seeing this look from her older brother prompted Azura to become a bit nervous as she already knew that one had to be close to Nyarl for him to teleport someone along with himself from one place to another. This prompted her to want to explain how it worked to her brother without making him uncomfortable. However, the beastman beat her to it when he told him, "Oh it's nothing too extreme. All you have to do is hold onto to me." And right away the second Nyarl winked at him and kept on going, "And if you'd like you can press your body real close to mine, Your Highness. Or at least I'd highly suggest it unless you want to get left behind in a never ending void."
"You can't be serious?!" Xander questioned, schock clear in his voice.
"I'm afraid his very serious, brother." The princess answered back, while she walked up to the armor clad hyena. And upon doing so she gently placed her arms around one is his arms as the other wrapped around her waist. She then looked over at her older brother and continued, "And I know this might seem odd. But I assure you, you won't be that close to him for a long period of time."
"Azura just went up to him and took a hold of him like it was nothing. Although I guess she's had to do it before so perhaps she's grown used to it." Xander thought to himself, as he stood in place. This did not last though for after a few more seconds he let out a heavy sigh before he told the three, "Alright, I'll do it. Even though I know I'm not going to enjoy this. So please don't try anything funny. Is that clear?"
Hearing this order from her brother caused Azura to look over at the casual clothed Nyarl who just bowed at the prince for a second time as he replied, "You have my word that I won't try to do anything inappropriate to you while you're up against me."
"Alright then let's just get this over with shall we?" Xander let out, before he walked up to the beastman and took a hold of his body.
Once he had down this Azura felt Nyarl's warm breathe against her left ear when he whispered to her, "Well, it seems that was easier then what you first thought sweetheart." She then felt him press her even closer to his body then what she already was while he softly added on, "And don't worry I won't leave your side the entire time we're dealing with Corrin. Because I'd hate for something to happen to you or your beautiful voice."
Hearing this caused the princess lightly blush as she softly replied, "Thank you, Nyarl. I appreciate it very much.
Corrin stood with her rapier in hand while Gyobu stood next to her with his sacred artifact in his right hand as they walked away from the cabin once they had decided to head back into the city to get food and other things. But once they had gotten to the other side of the lake that was at the start of the dirt road that led away from the large lake Corrin felt the tanuki place a hnad onto her left shoulder before he warned, "Wait! I sense people approaching."
After those words had been said the young woman grabbed the hilt of her sword upon seeing Nyarl appear out of nowhere a few feet away from them along with Princess Azura and a tall blonde haired man in red, black, and gold armor. Seeing this prompted the eyebrows above Corrin's red eyes to narrow as she loked at the man and asked, "Who are you? Because you don't look like a regular soldier to me."
To her surprise the blonde haired young man pulled out his own sword from its sheathe. After he had done this Corrin noticed that the blade was very dark in color and had red aura like energy that surrounded it. She then saw him point the sword in her direction while he answered back, "I am Xander, the Crown Prince of Nohr. And you are Princess Corrin of Hoshido, are you not?"
"So what if I am? Are you here to take me back to Nohr?" Corrin spat back, as she also pointed her sword at the prince.
"Yes, I am. Because you see my Father wants you brought back to Nohr. And I'll confess that i do not know his reasons behind it. However, I cannot defy his orders." Xander explained, before he got into a fighting position. Once he had done this he then continued, "And even though you're a woman you are also my enemy. So I won't go easy on you."
Upon hearing this the princess saw Gyobu take a few steps in front of her as he told the prince, "I'm afraid I can't allow you to take Corrin away from here."
"And who might you be, beastman? An ally of the princess's?" The blonde haired young man harshly questioned, with eyebrows narrowed in anger.
And not to her surprise the young woman saw the tanuki's eyebrows were narrowed as well as he said, "Yes, I am an ally to Princess Corrin. And yet it's more then that. But such information is not needed for the likes of you."
"Very well. But fair warning, if you stand in my way. Then I will have no choice, but to cut you down where you stand." Xander warned, while he took a step forward.
Upon hearing this Corrin's expression became that of slight worry as the anthro tanuki also took a step forward before he coldly shot back, "We shall see about that, young prince."
But before the anthro raccoon dog could do anything Corrin quickly called out, "Wait, Gyobu. Please allow me to handle this."
At first the human saw the beastman stare at her for a few seconds before he released a heavy sigh and replied, "Very well. But please try to be careful."
Suddenly out of nowhere Gyobu's attention was brought to behind him when he sharply turned around and blocked an attempted attack from Nyarl. Who just grinned at him when he told him, "Hey there, big boy. Don't think we haven't forgotten about what you did to us when we tried to have our "fun" with Corrin, did you? Because now it's payback time, baby!"
Corrin eyes widen in worry for the anthro before she let out a gasp and just barely dodged an attack from the Nohrian Prince. And upon turning to face him he told her, "You had best pay attention better, Princess. Unless you want to be brought before my Father on your knees covered in your blood."
Hearing this just caused Corrin to grit her teeth together as she thought to herself, "Well, I guess it's time to find out if all of that training with Snow and Garmr is gong to pay off or not."
