Chapter 28
Corrin quickly dodged a sword strike from Xander to which she attempted her own sword strike back at him. However, it was easily blocked by the prince. And as they glared at each other he remarked, "Come now little princess of Hoshido. Is that all that you can do? Because honestly I expected you to be a more skillful fighter then this."
"Oh, is that right? Well, I'll show you what I'm made of!" Corrin shot back, while she did her best to get the upper hand.
And so to do this she jumped back away from the blonde haired prince and looked for an opening. Sadly the prince of Nohr did not seem to be showing any signs of one what so ever. But when she looked over at Azura however, the sliver haired princess saw that she was currently not paying attention to the battle and was instead conversing with the Nyarl who was standing next to her. Seeing this prompted Corrin to try something as she sharply turned and charged towards the light blue haired singer. She then brought her blade close to her face as she prepared to attack her to try and gain some sort of advantage. Once she had reached a certain point though she attempted to swing her sword towards her which caused the other princess to let out a gasp of surprise.
However, her attack never made contact with the light blue haired young woman as it was blocked by Nyarl, with a arm gantlet once he had gotten in front of the Nohrian noblewoman. Along with this Corrin saw him grin at her while he wagged a finger at her and said, "Tsk, tsk, princess. It's not very nice to attack someone who was just standing on the sidelines."
Hearing this though just caused Corrin's to boil as she glared at him and replied, "You! I'll make you pay for what you tried to do to me!"
"Ooohhh! YES! I just love that fire in your eyes, babe! Show me more!" Nyarl exclaimed, before he attempted a counterattack.
Seeing this caused Corrin to jump back away from the punch. However, upon doing so the princess found herself up against Prince Xander. Once that happened she felt him roughly grab her arms and tie them together before she felt the hilt of his sword hit her on the back of the head. The young woman then felt herself start to lose her consciousness as she thought to herself, "No, how can this be..."
Gyobu eyes widen upon seeing Corrin lose consciousness to which he stopped his fight with one of the Nyarls and made his way towards her while shouted, "How dare you! You'll pay for doing that to her!"
But once he had reached a certain point the tanuki jumped backwards when he saw a lightening bolt seemingly come out of nowhere a few feet in front of the Nohrian prince. He then heard the hyena's voice as he let out a loud laugh which caused the raccoon dog's gaze to move towards a third Nyarl who was holding a book of some sort of magic as he remarked, "Sorry big boy. But that's as far as you're going to be able to get to your previous princess."
"Curse you!" The anthro tanuki growled under his breath.
His gaze then moved over to the prince when he ordered, "Alright Nyarl, we have Princess Corrin. So we no longer need to be here."
"Awe you want to leave already? Well, that's a bit of a shame. But if that's what you want then who I am to refuse your orders." Nyarl commented, before Gyobu saw one of the hyenas walk up to the nobleman.
Once he had done this the anthro raccoon dog saw Xander hand Corrin over to the black furred beastman who took her into his arms and held her close. And upon doing so he saw the young woman's sword along with something else fall to the ground. After that happened the beastman instantly vanished right before the tanuki's eyes. He then saw Prince Xander do the same once a second Nyarl walked up to him to which they also disappeared. And lastly was the light blue haired princess who just stared at Gyobu for a moment before she and the last Nyarl left the forest as well.
And once they were gone Gyobu walked up to the rapier on the ground and proceeded to pick it up along with the pager that was next to it. He then tucked the sword underneath his right arm and clutched one of his hands into a fist while he said out loud to himself, "Do not worry Corrin, I promise that I'll save you." He then looked at the pager that was in his open hand and added, "But it seems that I'll need some assistance."
Azura stood next to Nyarl after they along with the princess's siblings had entered the throne room. And standing closest to the staircase was Princess Corrin who at the moment was bound and gapped while also being held in place by two soldiers. However, the singer's attention was broken away from the Princess of Hoshido when she heard her Father's voice when he commented, "Well, I must confess Azura, I did not believe that you could retrieve Princess Corrin as easily as you did. And for that I will say that you have done well, my child."
"Thank you, Father." Azura replied, as she did a quick bow to him.
After she had done this the princess saw a large smirk had formed on the elderly king's face as she saw him look over to the sliver haired young woman before he said, "And now I finally have you, Princess Corrin. However, I'm afraid that it won't be for that long of a time. Because come tomorrow when Nohr's and Hoshido's skies change is when you will be put to death. But it won't be here in the castle. It will be done at the Bottom Canyon. But do not worry for I will be sure that your family from Hoshido is there. That way you can all say goodbye before you're hung!"
"What?! Father, you can't be serious?!" Xander protested, while he took a step forward. He then lowered his gaze towards the red carpet as he continued, "I know that she is our enemy. But surely there is a better way to use her to our advantage? Could we not just use her to convince Queen Makoto to lower the barrier that she has around Hoshido? Or perhaps we could..."
"That is enough, boy!" Garon snapped, thus cutting the prince off mid sentence. He then went on, "Unless you wish to be put to death right along with her, boy!"
Azura saw her older brother stand in place for moment before he let out, "I understand, Father."
After the prince had uttered these words the young woman then saw the king look at the two soldiers when he kept going with, "Now take her to the dungeon and make sure she stays there until tomorrow! And as for all of you, you may leave me be for now."
"Yes, Your Majesty!" Everyone replied back, before the tow soldiers forced Corrin to walk ahead of them.
But as Azura's golden eyes stared at the other princess she heard Nyarl's voice and felt his breath against one of her ears when he asked, "Did you still want me to go through with the rest of our plan?"
"Yes. Because now there is no going back." The singer softly replied back, to which the two left the room followed by her siblings.
