Enjoy my crazy midnight brain thinking!
John throws Ember and Jayden into the house, Roy crying into Kathrine. John grabs Jayden and Ember by the hair. They yelp in pain.
"What did you two freaks do!?" He roars.
"We don't know!" Ember says.
"We swear!" Jayden says, looking at John. He throws them into their room and locks them in.
"You two won't come out for the rest of the night!" He hisses. Ember falls into the bed. Jayden falls in right beside her. Ember leans her head on Jayden's arm.
"Mom and Dad should be here." Her small voice made Jayden frown. He was the strong one out of the both of them, since Ember was the gentle one. They don't remember much about their parents. Only that their mother sang them a song and their father talking intently to a man they nicknamed Snakey because he looked like a snake. They were two when their parents died. Katherine won't tell the twins their names because she hated their mother and hated their father even more. Jayden wraps his arm around Ember. She presses her head into his side.
"It's gonna be okay, sis."
ま *four days later*
Jayden goes to the mailbox and pulls out the mail. Two envelopes catch his eyes. They were addressed to "Ember Marie Crawford" and "Jayden Caspian Crawford". He looks at them in confusion. Nobody ever gave them mail.
He walks in and hands John their mail. He hands Ember her envelope, but Roy jerks them out of the both of their hands.
"Hey! That's ours!" Ember shouts. Roy shoves the envelopes at John and Katherine.
"Look! The freaks got mail!" John snorts in laughter.
"Who would give you two mail?" He looks at the envelopes. His face blanches. He throws them in the garbage. "Just a scam." Ember's face falls sadly.
"Who would send us mail anyways?" Jayden agreed. John and Katherine walk to the living room, Roy behind them. Jayden digs the envelopes out of the garbage. He shoves them in his pocket and they clean up.

Jayden hands Ember her letter. She looks at him in shock.
"Jayden! We could get the belt for this!" She whispers.
"Now you know that this isn't fake mail. Nobody knows our middle name other than those idiots." He whispers back. Something falls to the floor. Ember and Jayden run out. A very tall man stands where the front door used to be. He smiles.
"Ah, Emberlyn and Jayden Crawford! Pleasure to meet yer! I'm Rubeus Hagrid." John runs in, Katherine and Roy cowering behind him.
"You have no business here!" John shouts. Hagrid rolls his eyes.
"You know I was coming sooner or later, Johnny Boy." He smiles at Ember and Jayden. "Happy eleventh birthday!"
"How did you-" Ember starts.
"Ah, everybody knows they-who-shall-not-be-named children's birthday." He says. Jayden looks at him confused.
"Why can't our mom and dad be named?" Hagrid shakes his head sadly.
"They are very evil wizards and witches, Jayden. We know you two aren't." Ember looks at Katherine accusingly.
"You never told us!"
"Did you say wizards?"
"I forbid it!" Hagrid raises his umbrella and John, Katherine, and Roy fall to the floor, asleep. Ember looks at him stunned.
"I'm confused."
"Come with me. I need to fill you in on who you two are."
