Izuku felt the burn of anger as Katsuki was decked in the face by one of the older kids, but it wasn't the familiar figurative burn it was a literal heat, growing in his chest, opposite his heart. Small spires of steam floated of his body.
"Get away from him." Izuku growled voice low… well as low as you get with a four-year-old child.
"Oh yeah? And what are you gonna do? Tell on us?" The bully belly laughed.
Steam continued to rise from his body as the heat spread through his entire body, the bullies noticed and looked confused, so did Katsuki. "I said… GET AWAY FROM HIM!" Izuku roared, steam overflowing from his mouth, his veins faintly glowed with a fiery orange colour. Izuku jumped at them within a second, he was next to the bullies, fist cocked back for a haymaker. His fist launched forward…
*SLAP!*
The sound of skin hitting skin seemingly echoed as the bully was sent careening backwards, unceremoniously crashing into a tree and hitting the ground, unconscious. A portion of his shirt surrounding where Izuku had punched him had reduced to ashes, the frail cloth not being able to withstand the heat.

Izuku's world was on fire, he felt the heat against his skin, in his veins, in his organs, in his blood. His eyes started sizzling. The rage grew stronger, and stronger, the world went white.
XXX
Eyes widened as Izuku's veins glowed a vicious orange, copious amounts of steam billowed from his form as the surrounding air started to appear warped due to the astounding temperatures. His irises turned a fiery red and even the veins in his eyes glowed orange with heat.
Izuku opened his mouth and exhaled, more steam billowed from his open maw… "RAAAAAAGH!" Izuku's scream of rage penetrated the air around him with fiery intensity. He lunged at the nearest bully, who, through nothing less than a miracle, fucking dodged. Izuku continued to fly forwards with the momentum. He collided with a tree, which proceeded to catch fire.
Izuku turned around, a deranged look on his face, which was only accentuated by the glowing orange veins. He gathered up the steam surrounding his arm into a ball in his palm that continuously grew smaller as he further condensed the hot gas.
He aimed his palms towards one of the bullies… Release.
The ball exploded outwards in a jet of superheated gas; it barely caught the side of one of their arms…
"GAAAAH!" the bully in question screamed, the steam had burnt his skin down to the bone leaving just a charred ring surrounding the injury.
Izuku stepped forwards… and promptly fell on his face, unconscious.
"What in the actual fuck?" the four-year-old Katsuki questioned as he watched his best friend and adorable cinnamon roll, pass out after seriously injuring two people and making the other shit his fucking pants.
Then he saw the burns on Izuku's body, a body, which, not used to the strain and heat of its own quirk, Katsuki ruched over and grabbed Izuku by the arm. He quickly hissed and reeled at the heat, his own fairly resistant skin blistering slightly. He grabbed Izuku once more and dragged him to the nurse's office.

Hoshako Hoori was having a perfectly fine day in his office in Aldera Kindergarten and Elementary, being the school nurse in a school that hardly cared about its students had its perks. For example. You get hardly any patients because most of them don't even know where he is. He heard his door open and lazily opened his eyes.
They immediately went cartoonishly wide at the sight of one of their kindergarteners, 'I think his name is Katsuki Bakugou.' Dragging his best friend behind him. Hoshako knew this one quite well, Izuku Midoriya, he was practically in the office every other day!
His eyes widened even further, 'didn't think that was possible.' When he saw the child's injuries from where he was sitting, they were severe second, maybe third, degree burns covering the boy's body, his breathing was shallow and clearly laboured, his eyes were tightly screwed shut in pain.
"What the hell happened?!" Koshako yelled.
"He awakened his quirk; it was scary there was fire and steam and…" Katsuki started rambling about Izuku being 'scary.' But hoshako recognised something much more important. The child had a heat-based quirk, which means that his body has natural resistances to heat. For something to have caused that much damage there must have been truly horrific temperature being thrown around.
He picked the kid up, barely noticing the slight burn this was causing, as he moved the kid to one of the beds for immediate treatment.

Hoshako could never have anticipated the second years that came in after Izuku had been treated, one of them looked stressed but otherwise fine, one of them was unconscious, the other was missing a large chunk of his arm, that looked like it had been blown of by something incredibly hot… 'wait!'
"What happened?" Hoshako asked voice measured to show as little emotion as possible.
"Well sir, we were minding our own business, messing with one of the younger kids, but nothing harmful. When this green-haired Kindergartener jumped us, he decked Hisano so hard that he went flying and got knocked out, the he shot steam at me and blew off part of my arm! He looked pleased about it as well, like the little psycho he was." The boy with the chunk of arm missing.
"Really, would the 'little psycho' as you put it, happen to have green hair?" The nurse asked condescendingly. The kids nodded. "Well then, that's strange, because a) that's not the story I heard, and b) he wasn't doing any running, or even walking for that matter, after his encounter with you." The nurse said matter-of-factly. "In fact, his friend had to drag him here to receive emergency treatment, he had multiple third degree burns, this was after said green-haired boy had stepped in to stop you from bullying his friend, he awakened his quirk in the process and lost control." The nurse continued, "And while what he did is not 'right' he had no control over his actions. So, you three are still the ones in the wrong."
He pointed to the boy with a chunk of arm missing. "I'll treat that to make sure it doesn't get infected, but your friends don't need treatment, they can leave." He said as he made a shooing motion at the uninjured boy. "you can take your unconscious friend with you, now get out of my office. All of your parents will be notified of the incident."

"MY BABY IS HURT!?" shouted one extremely worried Inko Midoriya.
The man on the other end of the line winced. "Yes ma'am, he was injured in a conflict with some older boys, in the process awakening his quirk and severely injuring two of the three boys." Severely injure? Izuku? That doesn-"
"Wait! He developed his quirk!?" Inko yelled.
"Uh, yes ma'am h-" Inko cut him off
"I'll be there to see for myself." Inko said as she quickly descended the stair of the apartment building at break-neck speeds, she hopped into the car her and Hisashi had bought while he was around, she pictured a green costume with red highlights, that clearly accentuated his mouth, The Salamander, that's his hero name. He was one of Izuku's favourites, she's pretty sure that if ha knew he would have an appropriately large fangasm, then be appropriately embarrassed afterwards.
Speaking of her fire breathing husband…
*Ring, Ring, Ri- BEEP*
"Hello Honey." Came the deep voice of Hisashi Midoriya.
"Izuku's quirk manifested." Inko rushed out. She swore she herd him choke on something.
"Where is he?"
"Still in kindergarten, he hurt himself… and a few others." Inko said.
"… What?" Hisashi ever so elegantly put it.
"Precisely. Now get to Aldera Kindergarten and Elementary or so help me god I will hunt you down." Inko said coldly.
Hisashi gulped audibly.
"I'll be there."

Inko had been sitting outside of the principal's office when Hisashi Midoriya walked in. He was a tall man with broad shoulders and large defined muscles, on his head he had a mess of curly black hair that looked almost exactly the same as his son's.
"Hisashi, it's been a while." Inko said, then winced at the unintentional pun. Hisashi chuckled good naturedly.
"Should we enter?"
"Yes, I think that's what we're supposed to do." Inko said dryly. Hisashi chuckled again, this time nervously.
"Sorry, I haven't been around much lately. I was planning to visit over the holidays." Hisashi supplied helpfully.
Inko frowned, "Really? I'm so sorry from taking you away from your hero work."
"It's okay, after all, it is Izuku's big day." Hisashi said, sounding appropriately proud.
"I think we should go in now."
"fair enough."
Hisashi opened the door, letting Inko in first while bowing over exaggeratedly.
"Ah, Miss and Mr Midoriya, you said you would directly talk with me about your son." The principal said.
"Yes, we heard his quirk caused some damage?" Inko said, more used to this process than the almost constantly absent Hisashi.
"Ah yes, his quirk, we actually have some footage of that. Would you like to view it before or after we have this conversation?" the two Midoriya's looked at one another and then said.
"Before."
The principal nodded and pointed to the screen behind him. He clicked a button on one of the remotes on his desk, and footage started playing.
They watched as Katsuki was decked across the face, they watched as their son desperately tried to talk them down, they watched as steam pooled around the form of the green haired child… they watched as he jumped forward at speeds the camera almost couldn't keep up with and proceeded to punch someone much larger than him into a tree on the other end of the playground. They saw the glowing orange veins, as even more steam leaked from him.
They watched him try to do the same to on of the remaining two bullies. He missed and went flying into a tree… which caught on fire. Then he turned around, all of the steam on his arm pooled into his hand and proceeded to shoot outwards in a jet of superheated gas that burnt the other child down to the bone. They watched as Katsuki ran to help, burning his hands in the process. The video paused, snapping the two enraptured parents out of their stupor.
"Your son is exempt from all charges because it was a loss of control of a newly awakened quirk, congratulations are in order, he awakened his quirk! And it seems to be a powerful one at that!"
Inko looked relieved. "Thank goodness." She sighed. Hisashi rubbed her shoulder gently.
"You should probably go and grab your son from the nurse's office." The two parents looked at him confused. "It's not visible on the video but your son sustained heavy damage from his quirk's awakening, he had several third degree burns and damaged muscles from the incredible strain." The principal explained to the Midoriya's horror.
They were out of the room faster than one could blink.

For the fourth time that day the door to the nurse's office opened. Hoshako looked and saw who could only be Izuku's parents.
"Ah, you must be Mr and Mrs Midoriya. Izuku's in room 1." The nurse said, walking behind them as they rushed to the aforementioned room. They opened the door to see their son sitting up in the bed, with bandages covering his arms.
"I healed him all I could, he's still gonna' have scars, but this way they won't be as noticeable." The nurse explained.
Izuku turned to look at the entrance.
"… Dad?" Izuku said, disbelief in his voice, it had been a year since he had seen him after all.
"Izuku." His father said, rushing to Izuku to hug him. Tears welled up in Izuku's eyes as he threw his arms around his father, crying tears of joy. "It's been far too long son." Hisashi said.
"Yeah, it's been a while since you were here." Izuku said playfully, Inko groaned at the painfully overused pun, but Hisashi just guffawed.
"Good one kid, shame your mother used the exact same one earlier." Hisashi said, still chuckling.
The nurse looked confused. "The kanji in his name can be read as 'it's been a while since I saw you'" Inko explained to him, the nurse nodded slowly.
"And I'm gonna' be here for a good while longer." Hisashi said. Both Inko and Izuku's eyes widened to almost comical proportions.
"Really!? You're staying Dad?!" Izuku said excitedly.
"Really, really." Hisashi said softly, once more hugging him. Izuku and Hisashi just sat there for a moment… then a loud sniffle was heard throughout the room. Hisashi turned to look at Inko, she just shook her head and pointed at the nurse.
The nurse was wiping his eyes rapidly. "Sorry, my Grandmother wasn't around a lot, so moments like these really get to me." He said. Hisashi's brain ground to a halt.
'hold on, grandmother was never there, brown hair, healing quirk…'
"Are you by any chance the grandson of Chiyo Shuzenji?" Hisashi asked. Izuku's eyes widened in recognition of the name. The nurse nodded.
"Oh my gosh, you're Recovery Girl's grandson!" Izuku said excitedly. The nurse's eyes widened, in wonder, this kid knew who his grandmother was? She had officially retired years ago.
Hisashi made his way over to Inko, "Still a massive fanboy huh?" Inko nodded.
"He's already got two and a half of those hero notebooks." She said tiredly. "I love him more than anything, but he can be a serious handful sometimes."
"Well now we can spread out the load." Hisashi said.
"You know we're going to have to tell him, right?" Inko said
"Yes, and he'll be ecstatic, I am the number 14 hero." Hisashi said the last part into her ear. There was a pregnant pause. "You live in Musutafu, right?" Inko nodded. "Great! You won't have to move far! I'm also in Musutafu, and even closer to U.A!" He seemed to ponder something, "Hey maybe I could ask Nedzu for a job, I am an honoured alumnus…" Hisashi said.
Inko gasped, "You'd be willing to go that far for us?" she said.
"Yes, I have enough money to last me multiple lifetimes after all. And as terrifying as Nedzu is, he likes to hand out teaching positions to former students. I heard Aizawa got a job there recently" Inko giggled.
"Really? Aizawa? Mr. 'I hate everyone and would prefer to be literally anywhere else'? that Aizawa?" Inko said, her voice suddenly took a sombre note. "Doesn't he blame you? He hates you, why would you willingly work with him?"
"It'll be a struggle… but we need to work through that… sometimes I think Shirakumo's death got to him more than he let on. Correction, I know it did, I just hope we can patch things up." Hisashi said sadly.
"None of that." Inko said desperately trying to banish the memory of her former friend before she broke down. "We have a house to move into!" Hisashi nodded, body language slowly changing into a more relaxed posture.
"Yeah, lets do that." He said, walking over to Izuku and putting the small boy on his shoulders, the child was giggling like a madman the entire way.

It had now been three weeks since that day, and Izuku and Inko had finally finished moving into Hisashi's home, it was really close to U.A, like walking distance.
"welcome to your new home little buddy." Hisashi said to his son, Izuku's jaw was on the floor, the house was so big! Not anything too big, but definitely large.
"Wow! It's so huge!" He said, he quickly ran around the house pointing out all of it's features… it took a while but eventually Izuku asked, "Hold on, how did you afford something like this."
Hisashi paused
"… well you see,"

"You're Salamader!" Izuku shouted, "My Dad is the Number 14 Hero!"
"Izuku honey, calm down" Inko said, Izuku stopped shouting, but he was vibrating so fast he was practically bouncing off the walls.
"Welcome to your new home, and new life! As the son of the Number 14 hero!"
