We are here, with the near end of Piccolo Jr Saga, and nearing onto Saiyan Saga, and as a result, we have a huge change coming up in Dragon Ball, which would effect who the Z-Fighters would go up against.

Moreover, I am re-hauling the entire Transformation system, which we will see in the next chapter, explaining how each could be achieved and what they would entail.

Well, lets get to it.

Broly looked at the dormant Dragon Balls, which were once a vibrant orange color, now were spherical stones. " So, all I need to do is to transfer my energy to them and they'll turn back ?" Broly, now sporting white pants, a red sash draped around his waist, secured by a golden belt with the insignia of Kami on it, signifying his new position. As he was no longer wearing a shirt, he felt the cold breeze.

Mr. Popo nodded at that. " Yes, Son Broly. In doing so, the Dragon Balls would be tied to you, activating them again."

" Alright." Broly said as he pumped the orbs with his energy. He could see that what he was doing was working, as the orbs were now glowing yellow. They began to float into the air, stone around them cracking. Holding his breath, Broly waited for the familiar orange orbs to appear, but to his shock, they were now a vibrant yellow, clearly visible against the night sky. " Should they be doing that ?" He asked.

Mr. Popo nodded. " Yes. You see, the Dragon Balls respond to their owner. That is how Kami designed them. Since his ki was orange, that's why the Dragon Balls were orange. As your ki has changed once you attained the Super Saiyan form, the Dragon Balls became the color of the ki you possess, yellow." He looked at the rotating orbs. " Once they will disperse again, you should tell the blue haired lady, Bulma, that the Dragon Balls can be used, and wish for Son Goku's return when it is exactly one and a half years after his death." Mr. Popo instructed as Broly nodded at that, looking in amazement as the Dragon Balls shone brighter and finally, after the amazing display of colors, they dispersed, travelling to seven different points on Earth.

Broly nodded as he made his way to his friends, who were resting in their rooms. Yamcha and Launch had decided to bunk together, while Vegeta and Bulma did the same. Krillin and Tien were training while Muten Roshi supervised them, instructing them at times where their forms faltered. Knocking lightly on the door, Broly hoped that time passed quickly as he really wanted Goku to come back to Earth.

" What is it ?" Bulma asked as she opened the door. Broly could clearly see that she had been busy, as several gadgets were littered around the room. " Oh Broly, any updates ?" She asked, getting Vegeta's attention, who was also in the room, who looked at the new Guardian of Earth and was impressed with what Broly wore.

" Nice suit." He complemented.

Broly blushed at the praise, before shaking his head, " The Dragon Balls are active again." He said, making both Bulma and Vegeta sigh in relief, " Mr. Popo has said that once we find them, we must make sure that we revive Goku exactly after a year and half after his death, as he is currently training with King Kai." With that he left the two to their own devices.

( A Few Months Later )

Broly looked on over the Earth, sensing any potential threat that could appear to threaten the peace on the planet. Over the time he had been here, he had been training, trying to surpass his limits. Over time, he had learned to enter the Super Saiyan state by will. He felt miles ahead in his power compared to when he was facing Piccolo in the Tournament.

He looked back to the several buildings that were present on the Hideout. He knew the importance of the area that housed one of the most well guarded secrets on Earth, the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, or as it was known in several of the books left behind by Kami, the Room of Spirit and Time.

The room had a special ability to dilate time so much that a day outside meant an year inside the room. He was in control of the room, meaning that he was in control of the effects of the area. He had currently set it as the people inside were to be in what Bulma had explained to be suspended animation, not aging until they left the Room of Spirit and Time.

' I don't know, the name Kami set for the room feels nice.' Broly thought, ' Better than what Bulma had called it.' He smiled as he remembered when Bulma had given the room a scientific name, and how Mr. Popo was against this.

Looking back at the time, he was sure that several of his friends had exceeded in power. He was sure that Yamcha and Vegeta were competing against each other, so they were probably in the same range. The last time he had sensed Yamcha's Power Level, he was stronger than Demon King Piccolo had been, so Broly was content with the fact that they were helping each other improve, though he did cringe as he remembered how Vegeta unlocked the Super Saiyan transformation.

Vegeta and Bulma had gone out on a date during one of Vegeta's breaks from training. They had gone to a fancy restaurant, one which Bulma had booked for a double date, to which Yamcha and Launch had agreed.

The entire event had gone well, however, they had been intercepted by remnants of the Red Ribbon Army. Being bombarded by bullets, Vegeta and Yamcha protected the ladies, however, one of the goons had snuck by the defenses and held Bulma hostage with a knife to her throat. It was at that point Vegeta reached his limit and burst through the ceiling, finally reaching the Super Saiyan state. Using the momentary shock, Yamcha disabled the man holding Bulma hostage as Vegeta made short work of the Red Ribbon Army, almost killing them. He knew that at the moment, all of his friends were stronger than Piccolo.

He looked on as he gained a serious face, knowing that the future was going to be tough, turning into a Super Saiyan, he looked on, wondering what his brother was doing.

( King Kai's Planet )

Goku grunted as he felt his Power Level double. Red aura all around him as he did so, he had been learning the Kaioken, a move that increased his strength.

" That's it Goku." He heard his new teacher exclaim. " At the moment, the Kaioken is stable, but make sure not to overuse it." King Kai ended as Goku now felt more comfortable having his powers increased.

" Got it." He responded. King Kai had accepted Goku quite quickly as a student, and had him regularly fight different fighters from across the universe, such as Pikkon, with whom he had been acquainted quite well. He also met Olibu, on whom several legends on Earth was based. While they did provide a good challenge, they weren't able to defeat him due to his battle prowess being far greater.

" Great, now stop the process." King Kai instructed, which Goku followed. " Now, do you remember how to gather Ki from the surrounding ?"

" Yeah."

" Nice, now try to gather as much ki as you can, I am going to teach you something new." He instructed again.

Goku knew what he was mentioning. He had been told of the Spirit Bomb by him a few days ago. He had been practicing on how to hone ki from the surrounding when he trained with Kami, so he had increased leaps and bounds when they started this, since it was a familiar process.

Soon, Goku had gathered enough ki from the environment and formed an orb in his hand, " That, Son Goku, is the Spirit Bomb." King Kai said, " Now absorb the ki into your hand and keep it there."

As Goku did so, he felt the power in his hand sky rocket. " Woah." He yelped as he lost his concentration, losing the power he had. " What just happened ?" He asked.

" I believe you are aware of Kami's techniques, the Spirit Mode ?" King Kai asked, making Goku nod, " Well, what you did just now was a partial Spirit Mode, limited to your hand only." He explained. " In this state, your power increases exponentially. You can also use the ki gathered as an attack, but be careful as the attack can potentially destroy the planet as well." He said as went to his home, leaving Goku to his own devices as he had rest of the day off.

Goku laid on the ground as he rested. He had been training non-stop for the last few days, learning different techniques after techniques. Up till now, the most straining move was the Kaioken. The technique doubled his power at the cost of his body. It essentially strained his muscles, forcing them to hit harder. While he had trained to experience the move up to five times in a row, King Kai had said that if he went any higher, he was at a serious risk of dying. The move provided a two-fold power boost, so using it at fives times meant it was a ten-fold boost. He had to make sure that he never went over-board with it.

He stopped and stood up, looking at the ever present Snake Way, the route from which he came here. According to his calculations, the Saiyans were to arrive on Earth in just three years, but he wasn't sure anymore as the timeline had changed with Broly becoming a Super Saiyan quite early, and becoming the Guardian of Earth as well. And with Piccolo dead, there was going to be quite a difference.

He looked on as he rushed to meet King Kai, " Hey, do you know any move that can help me reach the Check-In Station faster ?" He yelled.

( Earth, Six Months Left )

Yamcha looked at his girlfriend who lifted some weights. They had been together for quite a long time, meeting when Yamcha had started his travels with Goku, Broly, Bulma and Vegeta. During that time, Yamcha had severe gynophobia, which was probably due to the fact that he had been raised in an abusive household, which caused him to escape into the desert where he then lived.

Once he had met Launch, he was actually terrified of her because of her violent nature and anger amnesia. Though she did taunted him at times, she helped him get over his problem and got somehow closer to each other.

So, when he went to train with Muten Roshi, Launch followed him, training with him as Goku trained with Kami. She soon was able to conveniently switch between her two personalities.

During his current training, she was able to merge her personalities, giving her a purple-yellow hair, which made her more appealing to him.

" That's it Launch." Yamcha said as Launch gathered the ki within her body, cupping her hands in a familiar fashion to a certain wave. " Now release it." He said as Launch yelled, releasing the wave of energy forward, splitting the surface of water. " Nice."

She wiped the sweat off her brow as she gave him a thumbs up, smiling as she did so. " So, did you come up with a new move ?" She asked as she walked closer to him.

Yamcha scratched the back of his head, " Well, sorta. It's actually quite hard to use because of the insane amount of concentration I need." He confessed.

Her eyes shone at that, " Can I see ?" She asked.

Yamcha contemplated this request. " Well, sure." He replied as he began to gather ki in his right hand. Soon, he began to sweat due to the extreme condition. An orb of ki formed, making the Desert Bandit relax as he showed it to his girlfriend. " Check this out." He said as the ball of ki shot past. Raising his hand, the ball also shot upwards, shocking Launch, as the attack moved in random directions, all controlled by Yamcha.

" Amazing. How'd you create this ?" She asked, seeing it zip across the desert sky, giving her a nice view.

Ending the move, Yamcha looked at her, " Well, you know Krillin's Scatter Kamehameha, right. Well, I took the concept and tweaked it a little." Walking closer to her, " Instead of controlling the Kamehameha wave, I concentrate my ki all into my hand and shape it as a ball, so when I release it, I can do collateral damage by controlling it."

Launch whistled, " Damn, that's impressive, but that's what you can expect from my boyfriend." She said as she leaned in for a kiss that Yamcha reciprocated.

( Unknown Planet )

A man rushed, he had to tell his leader about this development. This was a miracle for him. He had not expected this. He entered the throne room, bowing down, he exclaimed " My lord."

" There is no need to bow." A rough voice replied. " Now tell me what is it ?"

Raising his head, the man said with hope in his voice, " I felt his ki. I felt his ki." He raved on.

" Whose ki ?" A softer voice asked. This one seemed to be that of a female.

" My son, my lady." He replied, " I did not believe it at first, thinking it was a trick of my mind, but the ki kept on rising, far above what I even had dreamed of reaching." He said. " Now I know he's alive. And if the observations from the Recovery Crew were correct, so should your child, and the child of the previous King."

The King looked on, his eyes filling with hope. " I sincerely hope you are correct Paragus. Now, since you did felt his ki, I think you should lead a Recovery Squad."

Paragus looked with tears in his eyes, " Thank you King Bardock, thank you."

" There's no need to call me King." Bardock said, looking at his wife who sat beside him " Now we can rejoice, Gine." Said woman nodded, tears in her eyes, full of hope.

" Who shall accompany me ?" Paragus asked, to which Gine instantly responded.

" I shall." Bardock looked at her. " Please let me." She continued, " I need to be there, I need to be with my son if he's alive." She said.

Bardock smiled as he nodded. " Don't worry, I wasn't going to refuse you anyways. Also, take Raditz and Mizuna with you, they would love to see their brother." He said. Looking at Paragus, " Using our fastest ship, you would reach the place … Where is it ?"

" I felt it from the Eastern Quadrant of the Universe." Paragus replied.

Bardock nodded, " So the journey will take roughly two years. I will sanction some of our produce so you can reach there safely."

Paragus nodded as he muttered a thanks, rushing out, hopeful that he'd meet his son.

" Bardock." Gine called out, making said Saiyan look at her, " Thank you."

" Gine, there's no need to thank me, I would have sent you even if you hadn't asked me." He smiled as he leaned in for a kiss, which she gladly returned.

And that's it for the fifth chapter and the end of Pre-DBZ events. Next chapter I will maybe explain how the Transformation System will work here, or I will start the Saiyan Saga.
