Warrior Universe, The Great Pirate Era….
Once long ago, there was a pirate by the name of Gold Roger, when he was faced with execution, he said these final words.
"You want my treasure? You can have it! I left everything I owned in One Place. Now you just have to find it." Roger said.
Those words kicked off what was known as the Great Pirate Era as numerous crews headed off for the Grand Line in order to try and find it. This legend also influenced a certain pirate known as Monkey D. Luffy whose dream is to become the Pirate King.
"Wow...I never get tired of hearing that story." Jexi said.
"There's just one thing I'm confused about. We left Luffy and the Straw Hat Alliance behind because another timeline and versions of them exist in the Warrior Universe, right?" Glimmer asked. "I'm a little mixed up, which one is the real version?"
"That's what confuses you? Not the fact we're going back through their history?" Ojiro said.
"It's not that I'm not excited." Glimmer said. "It's just this is the first time many of us have done this."
"It shouldn't matter in the first place. They're both in a sense real." Sheer said.
"Anyway...as we were telling…" Rainbow said.
During his journey, Luffy gathered a number of crew mates. A strong swordsman, Roronoa Zoro. An expert sniper, Usopp. A chef, Sanji. And a navigator, Nami. Together, they trounced numerous pirates such as Buggy, Krieg, even Arlong. After passing through Loguetown and evading the marine captain Smoker, they made it to the Reverse Mountain and crossed over to the Grand Line.
After, they met a young girl known as Nefertari Vivi, a princess from the desert country of Alabasta, that was under siege from Baroque Works, a secret criminal organization led by the warlord Crocodile. Nami had caught a fever on the journey so a stop over to find a doctor was necessary. On a snowy island known as Drum Island, they met a young reindeer named Chopper who ate the Human-Human Fruit. He rejected an invitation to join the crew at first because he claimed to be a monster, but they did not care and he was moved to join them. Now the crew has gone and entered the desert country of Alabasta.
"I see. So the point we'll be starting with this time will be during the Alabasta Arc." Sci-Twi said.
"Yep. I can see it right there." Tails said as they slowly approached a large desert country below them.
"When we touch down and hide the ship, the first thing we should do is find the Straw Hats." Hope said.
"Knowing them, that won't be too hard." Mark said.
"Oh without a doubt." Jexi said as they headed into town. "In fact…" he said pointing to Luffy running right past them.
"Okay...I'm starving. There has to be a canteen around here somewhere." Luffy said. "Gimmie gimme gimme food!"
"Man, Luffy never changes, no matter what the universe." Hope said.
"Yeah but...I do remember what comes next." Lucy said.
"Straw Hat!" a voice shouted as a man with white hair and jacket approached him. "So you've come here after all."
"Ah, it's you! The Smoky Guy!" Luffy recognized.
"Just a little further and you wouldn't have made it out of Loguetown. But this is the end of the line." he said before Luffy ran for it.
"Not even a full hour here and he's already in trouble." Jexi sighed.
"This place is gonna be filled with Marines fast. We'd better get ready to take the heat off Luffy." Vahsyron said.
They hurried after Luffy before he was cornered by the man. "Just where do you think you're going? White Blow!" he shouted as his fist turned to smoke and chased after Luffy.
"Heat Haze!" a voice shouted as a burst of fire cancelled out the smoke attack.
"No way...he showed up!" Titanica said.
"Give it a rest. You may be smoke but I'm fire. There won't be a winner from this fight." said a man in an orange hat.
"You...what does a 2nd division commander of the Whitebeard Pirates want from this country...Portgas D. Ace?" the man asked.
"I only came for my brother." Ace said.
"Ace!" Luffy cheered.
"You haven't changed...Luffy." Ace said.
Growling, Smoker drew his Sea Stone club and signaled. "All forces, Move in!" he ordered as Marine forces appeared. "I'm not letting you get away, Straw Hat!"
"And now we're in a fight. We're not going to get anywhere unless we escape the Marines." Gray said.
"Well, then. Let's get to work." David said.
It was quickly after that they joined into the battle.
"We need to deal with Smoker first. We mess up the chain of command, we might be able to escape." Sci-Twi said.
"Sounds like a plan to me." Zephyr said readying his guns before being smacked. "Ow.."
"Have you already forgotten that this guy can just turn to smoke to avoid that?" Leanne said.
"Gimme a break, it's been awhile since we've seen him." Zephyr said.
"I'm a little nervous about letting loose here, but I think I might be able to make an effort against him." David said.
"Don't worry about it. Logia users can turn into their respective elements and can normally regenerate. So go as wild as you want." Jexi said.
"Thanks, but that's not really my biggest concern. As you know, my powers tend to get a little muddy in the desert, so I don't know how effective they might be." David said. "But I don't think he'll give me the time to worry about that, so I'll just have to play it by ear."
"More of your allies, Straw Hat? Fine. I'll take them all in! White Snake!" Smoker said, sending out a large smoke snake at them.
David unleashed his Ice Reaper Claw as he hacked away at the smoke snake.
"What? But he shouldn't have…" Smoker said before being hit by a fire attack. "Gah!"
"Sorry but you won't get away like that." Ace said.
"Grr. I'll go and get backup. Keep them pinned here." Smoker said to a marine commander as he retreated.
"Yes. We chased him off." Glimmer said.
"No. He's calling for reinforcements." Izuku said. "And the Marines are moving to pin down the rest of the crew."
"In that case, we'll have to scatter and assist them." David said as he reverted.
"Right. Let's go!" Luffy shouted as they hurried across the town and fought off the incoming Marines and saving the crew.
"I'll give you guys a way out!" Ace said demolishing a city wall.
"But where are we even supposed to go?" Ochako asked.
"There's a place out in the desert I used to go to as a kid. We can hide there." Vivi said.
"Alright, show us the way, Vivi. Lets go!" Hope said.
The group headed out of town and into the desert, splitting up to cover the Straw Hats' retreat along three paths.
"These guys are just low level soldiers and common commanders. With our power, we shouldn't have much problem getting past." Scarlet said.
"Yeah uh...we might have a problem with the path Sanji picked." Yaoyorozu said as a girl in glasses carrying a sword blocked the path with her soldiers.
"Of course. Sanji never fights girls." Sectonia said.
"Wed better help him out. I'll go!" Sakura said, rushing to Sanji's aid. She quickly drew her sword and clashed blades with the woman. "Sorry, but I can't let you arrest this man!"
"Fine by us. We're arresting all of you." she said as the marines slowly started surrounding them.
"Go, get out of here!" Sakura said to Sanji as she fought with Tashigi.
"And leave a beautiful woman like you in danger? No chance." Sanji said dealing with the marines around them.
"Fine then. Only one way to get us out of this." Sakura said quickly disarming the girl. "You have a lot to learn, little girl." Sakura said as her group hurried through.
"Yes! We're going to make it!" Nami said.
"No, none of you are making it out of here!" a voice shouted as Smoker stood at the end of the converging paths with reinforcements.
"Ah great, it's him again." Eddy said.
"There's no way I'm letting any of you get away. Not after chasing you this far." Smoker said.
"I'll give him one thing, he is persistent." David said.
"You have no idea." Hope said.
"Enough talk! You all are coming with me!" Smoker said, launching to everyone with a big blast of smoke. "White Out!" he shouted, sending out a large cloud of smoke at them.
"I think we can stop this. Wind Magic: Zephyr's Gust!" Elementa said as a gust of wind blew the smoke back.
"I'll cut my side a path." David said as he unleashed his Ice Reaper Claw again.
"Don't worry...we'll join in. We'll go right through the blockade together." Hope said.
"Here we go!" they all shouted with a combined attack as they sent Smoker flying.
"There. That should be enough to get us through. Let's hurry." Jexi said as they passed through the marine blockade.
A little while after that….
"Hmm...I don't see any more of them. Looks like we're finally in the clear for now." Shoji said.
"Uh...just...who are you guys?" Luffy asked.
"You can just consider us...fans of your work." Jexi said.
"Huh. I didn't know pirates had fans." Luffy said. "Anyway, thanks for helping out, Ace. You're as strong as ever."
"A brother oughta set a good example, right?" Ace asked.
"Brother?!" Zoro asked. "That guy's your brother?!"
"That's right. Ace is 3 years older than me, so he got off the island 3 years earlier too." Luffy explained.
"Yeah...but unfortunately, I'll have to head off now. So...you might wanna take this." Ace said, tossing a piece of paper to Luffy. "Please take care of my little brother. He can be a bit of a handful."
"You're leaving already?" Luffy asked.
"Sorry but I'm after someone right now. Goes by the name Blackbeard. He was part of my division but now I'm hunting him down after he committed the worst crime a pirate can commit, he killed his own crewmate." Ace said. "Next time we meet, I'll be reaching the top." he said as he left into the desert.
"Okay. I've heard that the rebel army is in a town near the capital. We need to hurry." Vivi said.
"I'm not going." Luffy said.
"What? Why not? The people will…" Glimmer said.
"I wanna kick Crocodile's butt. Will stopping these rebels even stop him? There will be nothing for us to do. We're pirates after all." Luffy said.
"Luffy has a point. This Crocodile sounds like the source of all the trouble." Adora mentioned. "If we take him out, it might stop everything."
"Adora, I know we agree on a lot of things, but we're not ready for a guy like that." Glimmer said. "I read up on a lot of history in the worlds. Crocodile isn't a navy captain, he's one of the Seven Warlords of the Sea. He is a walking sandstorm, and can suck the moisture out of ANYTHING."
"And...that's supposed to stop us how? You're forgetting who we have here." David said.
"Glimmer, one of the things you'll come to learn about us is that we've seen everything there is to see. So we aren't afraid of Crocodile at all." Hope said.
"Even if we stopped the rebels, Crocodile would just keep trying to take the country. So it's better to just go at him full force. So, Vivi. Tell us...where is Crocodile?" Jexi said.
