A few days after the battle at Enies Lobby, the group hid out within Water 7 as Franky constructed the new ship for the crew. However, on the day of its completion, the Marines had arrived in full force.

"Wow….they didn't take long bolstering their forces." Miles said.

"I'm sure the crew can handle that many guys." ZS said.

"I wouldn't count on that." Jexi said seeing a large man with white hair and a scar on the right side of his face.

"Right. Garp." Dan said.

"Wait, isn't that Luffy's grandfather?" David asked.

"Yep." Jexi said. "And he has no qualms about arresting his own grandson."

"Man, this family is weird." David said. "Whoa… He's lifting cannonballs with his hands. That's some serious manpower right there."

"You have no idea. Garp's a real man among men." Hope said. "Still, we should cover their escape from Garp."

"Hold on Hope, have you forgotten already? There's two things the Straw Hats need before they set sail." Gemini reminded. "First thing they need is Franky as their shipwright. And the other is Usopp back."

"They're not going to take him back." Bakugo said. "You forget...he quit."

"He's right. He is pleading with them to take him back, but they're not responding." Gallantmon said.

"They can clearly hear him. They're just actively ignoring him." Cheetah said.

"That's right. Unless he offers some form of an apology, they won't take him back. That's normal protocol." Jet said.

"Yeah. That's the creed any crew should have." Hope said.

"But what about Franky?" Glimmer asked.

"Yeah...won't be hard to get him to the ship." Sonic said holding something.

"Wait...are those his...Oh my." Yaoyorozu said.

"Ugh… For real, dude." David said. "That is one image I do not want to envision."

"Then we might want to start running." Kirito said as they saw Franky charging right at them.

"Give back those undies, you little rat!" Franky shouted.

"And that's our cue." Sonic said as they started running.

They ran all the way to the ship before doing the handoff to Luffy.

"Hey! Franky! If you want these back, you gotta join my crew!" Luffy shouted.

"Heh. You outta your mind? I quit being a shipwright! Besides, you can keep those undies, Straw Hat!" Franky said before posing. "Because I still got my manly pride. You wouldn't ask a lion to wear underpants...so why a man?"

"Seems...we need to apply a little pressure. Dos Fleur." Robin said creating two arms on Franky. "Grab!" she said clutching her hands as they grabbed his lower regions.

"Yow!" Franky shouted in pain. "Look, I've already completed my dream! I've made my ship of dreams!"

"No. This is not your ship of dreams." Iceberg said arriving. "It still needs to sail every sea imaginable before it can become that."

"Grr. I've changed my dreams, all right?" Franky said.

"I don't think so. Everything you've been doing on Water 7 has been out of guilt." Iceberg replied. "Enough is enough… you need to forgive yourself, Franky!"

Franky was in tears before a suitcase was tossed to his side as his men were cheering for his departure.

"Hey! Have them back!" Luffy said, tossing back his undies.

"Heh...you morons. Paper mache is about all that you guys can fix. This ship is pretty sad without someone to keep her running. Well...I got no choice but to make myself this ship's shipwright." he said before jumping on. "Bye guys. I'll be gone awhile."

"Big bro!" the Franky Family called.

"Well looks like that sorted itself out. Looks like they're taking off." Sonic said.

"But Usopp hasn't…" Steven said.

"Hey! Wait!" Usopp shouted as the ship was leaving without him. "Why's the ship leaving without me? Can't you all see that I'm still here? Hey everyone! It's me! Rejoice!" Usopp said as they ignored him.

"I don't hear a thing." Luffy said.

"Same." Zoro said.

"Quit giving me the cold shoulder! They really are leaving without me. Well, I just have one thing left to say to them. I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I was so stubborn! It was all my fault! I know this is pathetic of me! I know I told you I was quitting! I know I can't take that back or anything! Just let me be together with all of you again!" Usopp cried as they were getting further and further away before an arm was stretched out to him.

"Grab on, you idiot!" Luffy said as Usopp grabbed it as he was pulled onto the ship.

"You were saying?" David asked.

"Nothing. Never mind." Steven said.

"Yeah but...they got back together at a bad time." Jexi said as a large ball and chain was brought out on the marines ship.

"Sorry Luffy. But sometimes you brats gotta learn the hard way." Garp said as he tossed it.

"He's not going to seriously…" Tab said.

"Trust me...he is." Jexi said.

"Coup de Burst!" Franky said as the ship rocketed away from the ball and Water 7 entirely.

"So that's how the Thousand Sunny was born." Tab said. "I heard the stories, but to see it actually happen…"

"Yeah, a totally different feeling, is it? Believe me, I know." David said.

"Guess we better be heading off too. We're done here in Water 7." Jexi said.

"In that case...it's time to share the info we have." Tab said. "Let's return to your ship, away from prying ears."
