"Okay...I see the crew. But...who is that they're talking to? Some old man?" Kaminari asked.
"Not just any old man. That would be Silvers Rayleigh." Jexi said.
"The first mate of Roger's Crew? That Silvers Rayleigh?" Tab asked.
"Yeah. Though he's retired as a ship coater now. But he's got an important role further along the line." Jexi said.
"Though...from this point on...we're going to get into a raging inferno. The reinforcements will be here before long." Elementa said.
True to Elementa's word, it wasn't long before a Marine battalion arrived and surrounded the Auction house. At the very front of the attack was Luffy, Kid and Law.
"You guys can step back now." Luffy said.
"No. You two need to step back. You're only in my way." Kid said, stepping up.
"Don't go giving me orders, Eustass." Law replied.
"Fire!" a marine soldier ordered as they fired a cannonball as Eustass caught it in his magnetic field.
"Repel!" he said sending it back to cause an explosion. He then attracted all of their weapons around his arm creating a large metal one as he swept them away.
"Gum Gum...Balloon!" Luffy shouted as he launched a ball back at them.
"ROOM! Shambles!" Law said swapping one marines head for the ball as an explosion followed.
"The cannons aren't working! All three of them have powers!" an officer warned.
The crew started spreading out as they tried to make their way to the Sunny.
"Can they make it?" Sachiko asked.
"Uh...maybe not." Jexi said as some Pacifista blocked their path.
"And it just got worse. Look!" Miles said as they looked to the air as a man in yellow stood on a flying cannonball.
"Oh...he's here." Jexi said.
"Hello? I'm here." the man said appearing on the land talking into his minicom.
"Kizaru." Aelita said.
"Kizaru? That's the Admiral who can kick at the speed of light, correct?" Tab asked.
"That's right. So don't let his demeanor fool you. He is very powerful." David said.
"It wouldn't be a good idea to fight him head on. We should focus on escaping." Ichiro said.
"Wait, what's he doing?" Senshi asked as Kizaru unleashed a powerful light kick as it hit a tree as it fell and took out a bridge.
"He's attacking trees? Is he nuts?" Glimmer asked.
"No...he's trapping us." Leopardmon said. "Those bridges act as ways around the mangroves. By destroying the ones leading out…"
"...they can't escape." Jexi said.
"Then we have to stop Kizaru before he cuts off any routes of escape." Hope said.
"Oh...so you want to try and stop me?" Kizaru said standing behind him before kicking him aside. "Yeah...I can't let you do that."
"Of course...I forgot who we're dealing with." Hope groaned.
"Forget stopping him. We just need to focus on survival for now." Jexi said as they started running.
"So we're just going to run?" Adora asked.
"We're outgunned right now. We just need to reach the ship and get out until all this blows over." Jexi said.
"Jexi's right…" Hope said as he was slung over Shoji's shoulders. "Luffy knows this as well. In this situation… it's a battle we can't win. All we can do is run and hide for now."
"More than that...I just don't wanna be around to see the end of this." Jexi said.
"Right… I know what you mean. Let's go. The docks are just up ahead." David said.
They reached the docks as did other Supernovas as they all fled from the island.
"Phew… That was close." Cheetah said.
"In the end, was there nothing we could've done to help?" Perfuma asked.
"I'm sorry guys. It was hard for me to swallow as well." Hope said, having eaten a Senzu bean and sitting up. "The day the Straw Hat Pirates were utterly defeated…. It's something that lives in infamy with all of us."
"It was proof that showed that...you can't keep winning forever." Jexi said.
"He's right. Sometimes it's better to know when to run. Kizaru was clearly out of our league." David said.
"But we can't run from what comes next." Mark said grimly. "We all know where we're going now."
"..." David remained silent at this prospect. "I'm gonna take some time to myself. Don't worry about me." he said as he walks off.
"I can tell from the look on his face. He is not looking forward to this at all." Sectonia said.
"I'm gonna go have a pep talk with him. I have a feeling I know what this is about." Leopardmon said following him.
"We all do. After the events of Sabaody, Luffy ends up in Amazon Lily where he meets Hancock. Then she takes him to Impel Down to try and rescue Ace. After a massive breakout...his group heads right for Marineford. We're close to it now….the Paramount War." Jexi said.
