Days passed since the escape from Sabaody as the ship edged closer and closer to Marineford.
"Marineford...this'll be the third time coming here." Jexi said. "Never gets any easier no matter how many times we fight in this war."
"David...are you feeling any better?" Aelita asked.
"A little. Just...be ready for anything. That's all I'm going to say." David said.
It didn't take long before they arrived in Marineford as Fleet Admiral Sengoku gave his speech.
"I want to tell you all of Portgas D. Ace...and what his death today means to all of us! Ace! Give me your father's name!" Sengoku said.
"My father is Whitebeard! No one else!" Ace shouted.
"We searched every corner of a certain island, in hope that we would find that man's child. We used what few leads Cipher Pol could find for us, checking every newborn, every pregnancy... Even every mother! But no child was found. But it makes sense. Your birth cost your mother her life. She performed an astounding trick...One that deceived not only us, but everyone else in the world! There is an island in the South Blue called Baterilla. There lived Portgas D. Rouge. Your mother, amazingly, kept you in her womb for 20 months out of sheer willpower. When she gave birth, her strength was finally exhausted, and she breathed her last. A year and three months after his father's death, the boy with the evilest blood was born... That was you, and you know it! Your father was Gold Roger, the Pirate King!" Sengoku declared. "Two years ago, you were captain of the Spade Pirates...A talented and speedy pirate you were. It was then that we realized...Gold Roger's bloodline still existed! But Whitebeard found out as well, and he wanted to raise you to be the next pirate king. Thus, he brought the son of his former rival aboard his own ship…"
"That's wrong! I boarded that ship so dad could become Pirate King…" Ace shouted.
"You're the only one who thought that. That's why we didn't immediately take action. You were being protected by Whitebeard himself. So we let you be, and you're near the top of the next generation of pirates! That's why taking your head today takes on an even more special meaning. Even if it means all-out war with Whitebeard!" Sengoku said.
"Is it just me, or did any of that sound incredibly crazy?" Bow asked.
"Unfortunately, not all of it was a lie. I don't know about the stuff with Whitebeard but...I can tell you that everything about Ace's birth is all true." Jexi said.
"I couldn't believe it myself, when Ace was revealed to be the son of Roger himself." Hope said. "But when I heard Sengoku explain it, somehow it made sense."
"He was picked for execution because of his bloodline. It just doesn't seem right." Tanjiro said before they felt the air quiver a bit as a large ship emerged from the depths of the ocean.
"It's the Moby Dick!" one soldier shouted as the ship looked like a large white whale.
"He's here." Sengoku said.
"Gurararara! How many dozens of years has it been...Sengoku?" laughed a large and muscular old man with a large white mustache as he emerged from the ship. "Hopefully my beloved son is safe. Hang on a little bit, Ace."
"Dad!" Ace shouted.
"Is...that really him?" CP asked.
"Edward Newgate...aka...Whitebeard." Sci-Twi said.
Whitebeard simply smirked as he smashed his fists against the air as it cracked apart, creating a massive quake.
"Don't think we've won this just because we have superior numbers. We could easily lose here...because that man- He has the power to destroy the world!" Sengoku said.
"Ice Age!" Aokiji shouted as he froze the entire ocean in solid ice.
"Aokiji. You little brat." Whitebeard growled.
"Ace!" a voice cried from the sky as they looked up to see Luffy and his group falling right out of the sky.
"Luffy…?" Ace asked, hardly believing his eyes as Luffy and his allies crashed into the frozen bay.
"Ace! I'm glad to see you! I've come to save you!" Luffy declared.
"Now that Luffy's here, we can finally…" Glimmer said before she saw Crocodile coming up behind Whitebeard.
"It's been too long, Whitebeard." Crocodile said readying his hook.
"Hey, watch out!" Glimmer called.
"Don't worry. Whitebeard will be okay." Hope said as Luffy defended Whitebeard from a sneak attack.
"Just remember...Whitebeard is an ally even if he is powerful." Jexi said.
"Stay away, Luffy! You should know by now! You and I are pirates! We've sailed the seas in any directions we wished. I have my own adventures! You have your own friends! You didn't need to interfere with my life! Go away, Luffy! Why did you come here?" Ace shouted.
"I'm your brother! I'll save you even if it kills me!" Luffy shouted.
"What're you doing? That man is a threat to our future! He was raised alongside Ace from a young age...He is the son of Dragon the Revolutionary!" Sengoku ordered. "Do not let any of them leave that harbor!"
"Let's get this over with." David said.
"Ah! Please! Get away from us!" some of the Whitebeard Pirates shouted as they started to attack their own men.
"Fufufu. Justice will prevail? Of course it will. Whoever wins this war will become justice." said a blond haired man in glasses with a pink feathered coat.
"Donquixote Doflamingo…." Hope said.
"You know that guy?" Bow asked.
"Yeah, he's bad news. He'll be a major enemy later on." Hope said.
"Well, if we don't stop him, our allies will continue to fight amongst themselves." David said. "That would be an incredibly chaotic situation. We have to stop this as soon as possible."
"He's right, Hope. I don't care if he's an enemy later on, he's going down now." Adora said as she engaged in battle with Doflamingo.
"Wait...if he's here then…." Jexi said before some of the ice was carved in half as emerging was a man in red and black with a large sword. "Mihawk would also be here."
"Looks like the Warlords are finally deciding to join in the battle." Tails said.
"Yeah. The war's really heating up now." Hope said as Mihawk came for him. "Oh god!"
It was then that Erza intercepted.
"You all need to keep moving forward!" Erza said.
"Yes. We can keep these guys busy but you need to head to the plaza!" Adora said.
"Understood! Everyone, move out!" Tab said as he created a squadron of knights.
"Right!" Hope said as everyone advanced to the plaza.
"Now is the time! Go, Akainu!" Sengoku ordered as a man stood on top of the base with both fists raised as magma covered them.
"Meteor Volcano!" Akainu shouted as the magma fists fired and rained down across the battlefield.
"Incoming!" David said as he fired a blast of ice at the fist coming right at them. "So… that's him, huh?"
"Yeah, that's him. Admiral Akainu, the man who lives by the moniker of Absolute Justice." Hope said.
"Doesn't really sound like it to me." David said.
"The way he sees the moniker is that...all evil has to be eradicated...even if it involves bloodlines." Jexi said. "He sees no one having a chance of redemption."
"I see… Good thing to know." David said.
"Dave, please…" Jesse said.
"I know what you're going to say, but… There are no guarantees that I'll be able to contain myself against someone like him." David said. "If I end up flying off the handle, knock me out. While there is still something left of Marineford."
"Wait, if they're doing that then...the execution must be starting. And we don't have much of a road left with the ice starting to melt." Jexi said.
"I'll try to keep the road up as long as I can. Just hurry." David said.
"Wait...I have an idea. Grab onto that mast!" Elementa said.
They quickly grabbed on before being shot into the air with Luffy by Jimbei as they landed right in front of the three Admirals.
"So you're finally here…" Aokiji said.
"Not too shabby, son of Dragon." Akainu said.
"Oho, I'm scared now...so young." Kizaru said.
"Flattery will get you all nowhere." Sectonia said.
"I don't care what they say! I'm getting Ace back! Gum Gum...Stamp Gatling!" Luffy shouted rapidly, kicking at them. "Gear Second!" he shouted as he lunged at them before Kizaru appeared by him.
"Oh...so slow." he said before kicking him away as Aokiji took over the fight.
"I owe your grandfather my life, but….that hardly changes a thing here." Aokiji said.
"Get away from him!" Flamberge said drawing her sword and running at Aokiji. She thrusted her sword bursting with flames right at him, Aokiji firing back with his powers as fire and Ice collided. "I've got Aokiji, guys! Get to Ace, go!"
"Like hell!" Moltar yelled as he quickly joined Flamberge by bringing lava into the mix. "You're strong, but not that level yet. WE'VE got him."
"Ice Age." Aokiji said freezing both of them solid. "Man...you two were way too hot headed."
"Then maybe you'd prefer to deal with me?" Francisca asked.
"Hmm...okay." Aokiji said. "Ice Block: Pheasant Beak!" he said, creating a large bird of ice as it flew at her.
"Icicle Storm!" Francisca said as she fired icicles at the bird.
"You're not half bad." Aokiji complimented. "That hothead girl… is she your sister? Couldn't help but notice you two look almost alike."
"Yes, she is. And honestly, I wouldn't have preferred it any other way. My other sister Zan couldn't be here, so… I'm going to fight for her sake too." Francisca said.
"That's pretty admirable. Too bad you're on the wrong side." Aokiji said.
"Maybe. It's a shame. My master could've really learned a lot from someone like you." Francisca said.
"Yeah. It's a shame. Time to die here." Aokiji said as the ice of both their attacks collided.
As they fought, Luffy tried desperately to reach the stand before being dealt a kick by Kizaru.
"It takes more than guts, Straw Hat Luffy. Without power, you can try all you want, but there's no saving you…" Kizaru said, kicking him aside. After he landed, Whitebeard went and picked him up.
"You've done well enough. Help him out." Whitebeard said, tossing him aside as Luffy tried to continue.
"There's no time...Out of my way! Ace is...Ace is the only brother I have in the world! I swear I'll help him…" Luffy said before he collapsed.
