Ace knelt there on the execution stand as he saw all of the groups fighting just to rescue him from execution.

"Dammit...I am so twisted! At a time like this...Dad, my brother, my friends...! They're all bleeding and dying! Yet I'm so happy! I can't stop the tears. Finally...I'm valuing my life!" Ace said.

Whitebeard then felt a twinge of pain as he knelt to the ground as Akainu approached.

"You can't withstand the ravages of time, Whitebeard!" Akainu said as he punched him with his magma fist.

"Ace! I'll save you...even if it kills me!" Luffy shouted as he gained his second wind.

"That's the spirit, Luffy!" Scarlet said.

"Just hold on! We're on the way!" Mark shouted.

The group then ran at full speed to the Execution platform. All the while, Whitebeard was battling Akainu and the thousands of Marine forces charging him.

"Just give in already, Whitebeard!" Akainu taunted.

"Who do you think you are… don't you know who I am?!" Whitebeard asked. "I am WHITEBEARD!" he roared, clearing out dozens of marines.

"Damn… I had no idea Whitebeard was that much of a badass!" Akane marveled.

"Run now, marvel later! We got a hot headed pirate to save!" Amethyst said.

"Speaking of hot-headed, has anyone seen Draco?" Senshi asked. "He ran off when we first got here and in all the chaos, I haven't seen him."

"Now that you mention it...where the heck did he go?" ZS questioned.

In another part of the battlefield, David has knocked out another swarm of marines.

"Sorry about this, guys. Nothing personal." David said.

His attention was then drawn away by a sudden scream nearby. He investigated the sound and found Draco, standing over several dead Marines.

"It's such a thrill, isn't it? Taking lives." Draco said without turning to David. "When you see the determination in their eyes, see them use all their power to try and defeat you...killing them leaves you satisfied."

"Are you being serious right now? Do you think we even wanted to come here? We're just following the flow of events in this world. We came here because we had to." David said.

"Because you had to." Draco chuckled. "Yes, that's something everyone says. You have to follow the events, Luffy has to save his brother...I have to make sure your group gets to Wano and beats Kaido so we can get the key."

"It all makes sense now… You're really one of them, are you? I had my suspicions." David said.

"Of course you did." Draco said. "You can do anything you set your mind to...like, saving Ace, for example."

"Have you lost the plot? I am well aware that Ace's death is supposed to happen." David said.

"Exactly. You don't try to change things because you're scared of...huh?" he started before being pierced in the back.

"Oh...I see...so there's other schemers here." Doflamingo said laughing.

"And this is where I take my leave. Now, if you excuse me, I've got a date with Akainu where I put my own two yen in. Ciao." David said as he skated off.

"Puppet-master bastard!" Draco snarled as he clawed at Doflamingo, knocking off his glasses in the process. "Let me go or I'll-"

The eyes. His voice died as he looked into the eyes. There was no determination, no eagerness, no mere thirst for battle. There was only...only

...EVIL.

And for the first time in his life, Draco was terrified.

"Or you'll what?" Doflamingo said, standing behind him as the one Draco hit turned to string as it pierced him.

"Y-Y-You...what the hell are you?" Draco stammered.

"Me? I thought you knew. I'm Donquixote Doflamingo. A Warlord and the King of Dressrosa. As well as...the man who could turn this entire world upside down." he laughed.

The strings that pierced Draco began to move, causing Draco to raise his right arm into the air, his claws out and aimed at his other arm. The Elder tried to fight, but it was in vain as the puppeted arm grabbed and began to pull.

"I can tell you aren't from around here. If you were, you wouldn't have fought back. So...I'll let you off easy this time. But...it comes at a price." he said as Draco ripped out his left arm.

"AHHHUUGGHH!" Draco screamed as he collapsed.

"Fufufufu! You call yourself strong...you seem weak to me." Doflamingo said as he took off.

"W-Weak...I-I'm weak...I-I'm w-weak..." Draco repeated over and over as he laid on the ground, shaking.

Everyone else continued to fight against the marines as they kept moving closer and closer to the execution stand.

"Alright, were almost there!" Hope said. "Oh, but we don't have any path to the stand!"

"Then I'll make one for you!" Elementa said. "Earth Creation Magic! Ground Ramp!" she said stomping on the land as the earth rose and connected to the platform.

"Yes! We're going to make it! We're…" Ven said before Garp went and stood right on the path.

"What are you doing, grandpa? Get out of the way!" Luffy shouted.

"Think I'm letting you go, Luffy? I'm Vice Admiral of the Marine HQ. I fought against pirates long before you were even born! If you want past me, you'll have to kill me, Straw Hat Luffy! That's the path you all have chosen here!" Garp declared.

"I can't do that, Grandpa! Out of the way!" Luffy insisted.

"Then Ace will die!" Garp replied.

"Grr." Luffy growled as he pulled back a fist and laid a solid hit on Garp and sent him flying as they went and landed on the platform.

"We made it." Scarlet said. "Don't worry. We're...Oh my buddha!" he said as a large golden fist was being brought down on them.

"I'll just crush you all along with the platform!" Sengoku shouted.

Luffy then inflated his entire body and blocked the fist. But that in turn, broke the scaffold. As the thing went up in flames, a tunnel of flames bursted out of the wreckage.

"You never change one bit, Luffy. You never listen...and you were always pulling stuff like this." Ace said grabbing them as they rode the tunnel of flames down to the ground.

"And that's one thing nobody would ever change about him." Alkal smiled.

"Amen to that, Alkal." Moltar agreed. "Now...what say we get off this island?"

Whitebeard smiled. "We have Ace! All forces, pull back!"
