It wasn't long after Luffy and Sanji had had a heart to heart talk, the groups were soon meeting with Capone inside of a large fortress as he sat before them.
"Okay. Let's get down to it. First thing's first: are we joining forces or not?" Capone asked.
"His wariness and superior defensive capabilities have earned him full authority over the security detail for the tea party." Jimbei said. "He plans to use this to take Big Mom's head."
"As far as I'm concerned, all of you are a pain in the ass to deal with. Offin' all of you right here would save me a lot of trouble, but…" Capone said. "If I go and kill the groom, my chances of killing that beast of a woman drop to zero."
"Luffy, what do your instincts tell you?" Jimbei asked.
"So...what's our plan?" Luffy asked.
"Once the wedding moves to the kiss, Pudding will shoot Sanji. That shot will be the signal for the plan to begin. There's a photo of someone Big Mom holds dear, Mother Carmel. Once that happens, one of you takes that photo...and smash it right in front of her." Capone said.
"I'll do it." David said.
"Are you sure about this?" Sachiko asked.
"Yes. When we went through this before to rescue Ty and Symonne, Dark Meta Knight was the one who smashed it. So this time, I'll do it in his honor." David said.
"However once the photo is smashed, she'll go into a fit and scream, triggering her Conqueror's Haki." Jimbei said.
"I'm not too worried. My willpower is very strong." David said.
"But last time, you were the one keeping Katakuri busy so Dark Meta Knight could even destroy it. So, who's going to step up this time? I mean, that Observation Haki of his isn't really something to sneeze at." Sheena said.
"That's right. His Observation Haki was to the point of foresight. However, we don't necessarily have to defeat him. We just need to hold him long enough to smash that photo." David said.
"Leave that part to me." Alphamon said.
"All right. And once she starts wailing and everyone is distracted, me and my boys will come in and finish her. Once she's dead, we split. Once we're on our respective ships, this alliance is off." Capone said. "May Lady Luck be with you!"
"Right!" everyone nodded.
"Ishihara, level with us. This plan isn't going to work, is it?" Cheetah asked.
"No, it is not. At least, not completely. It did have a significant effect, however." David said.
"Significant effect? What do you mean by that?" Leopardmon asked.
"Oh, you'll see." David said with a smirk.
On the Day of the wedding….
Sanji and Pudding stood on top of the giant wedding cake as both families looked on as the two prepared for the kiss.
"(That's right. Go and stare at it. Stare at my creepy third eye.)" Pudding thought.
Katakuri then had a vision as he saw Pudding collapsed on the ground and crying. "Pudding? Why are you kneeling?" he pondered.
"It's...so beautiful." Sanji said, looking at the third eye as Pudding dropped her gun in surprise at hearing that. "I'm sorry. It's just...looking at it closely...it just looks so beautiful."
Pudding knelt on the ground as she started crying.
"Pudding? Just shoot him." Big Mom said.
Katakuri then fired a jellybean at Sanji who dodged. It was at this moment that the cake started to shake and move.
"What the?" Big Mom said.
"Yahoo!" Luffy shouted as he and multiple copies of him and the heroes burst out of the large wedding cake.
"WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!" Big Mom gaped.
"You all just got Trojan caked!" Bow said firing a bunch of arrows into the crowd as they exploded into goo, immobilizing some pirates.
"We object to this wedding!" ZS yelled as he landed skateboard first onto the ground, wasting little time before going on the offensive, knocking down any soldiers within reach.
"How dare you do that to the wedding cake?!" Big Mom growled.
"So their objective is to attack mama? Well we won't have that. Candy Wall!" Perospero said, creating a large wall of candy.
"Makes sense they wanna stop us from getting close to her. We'll have to go around." Jimbei said.
"Okay...let's wrap this up so we can clean up this mess." Perospero said he and multiple pirates aimed guns at the captured Vinsmokes.
"What...is the meaning of this?" Judge said in fear.
"You should have considered this more carefully. We aren't some idiot pirates you can fool around with." Perospero said before Sanji went and landed right on the table. "What the?"
"These guys are nothing but scumbags, all of them. But...I don't want them to die!" Sanji shouted, kicking some of the pirates away.
"It was all a set up. They really are after mama." Perospero said.
"Unfortunately, none of them will even get that far." Katakuri said, moving out to intercept them.
"Not on my watch!" Alphamon said as he appeared in front of Katakuri and clashed his sword with his trident.
"Out of my way!" Katakuri said, creating multiple tendrils of mochi from his body. "Willow...Mochi!" he said unleashing a barrage of punches against Alphamon.
Alphamon performed various hand signs before a green circle appeared in front of him. "Soul Digitalization!" he shouted as multiple energy shots were fired.
Katakuri stood motionless for a second before perfect dodging each shot fired at him before moving with a counterattack.
"Your enhanced Observation Haki isn't going to do much against me." Alphamon said as he fired energy shots to the side.
"Actually...it's more helpful than you might think...you're not taking this seriously. You're just buying time, aren't you?" Katakuri said.
"Hmm… So you managed to figure it out. I'm impressed." Alphamon said.
"You aren't the first bunch to try and go for mama and I can guarantee you won't be the last to…" Katakuri said. "No...they're aren't going directly for her. No...are they after the picture of...Mother Carmel!" he realized. "You fools! Do you realize the chaos you'll cause by breaking that?!"
"Believe me… I know." David said, pointing a gun at the picture. "All too well." he said as he took the shot.
"Ahhhhh….." Big Mom gasped as she lumbered towards the table.
"Oh no." Katakuri said.
"Exit stage right." David said as he and Alphamon retreated.
"Wait...something's not right. She's not screaming." Capone said.
"Do you have any idea who that is? Wedding cake...Straw Hats...Mama's picture…" Big Mom mumbled.
"She's confused about what she ought to be upset about." Brook said. "We need to show her the broken frame!"
"I've got this!" Glimmer said grabbing the broken picture and running towards Big Mom.
"Stop her!" Katakuri commanded the chess soldiers as they charged at Glimmer.
"I don't think so!" she said teleporting into the air before dropping the picture into Big Mom's hands.
"Mama….Uh...UH….WAAAAAAAHHHH!" Big Mom cried as she unleashed her Conqueror's Haki as well as a high pitched scream.
"Heh...Adios...Big Mom!" Capone said as he and his men fired at her.
"(Straw Hat Pirates...I will not forget this…)" she thought as the force of her scream destroyed the missiles.
"Oh dear…" Double D said.
"I remember this. Capone will end up wasting everything on her, and still fail, leaving us without a method of escape." David said.
"I may have an idea. Ishihara, Leopardmon. Cover me!" Cheetah said.
"Are you nuts? There's no way her kids are going to let you get anywhere near her now. Not to mention once she snaps out of it, she's gonna try and kill us." Tab said.
"It's not her we're after." Cheetah said.
"That's right. Last time we went through this, Jack made an opening out with… I know where it is! Cheets, Leops, follow me!" David said.
"What are they...the gift table? Now I remember. Buy them enough time everyone!" Jexi called out.
"Let's see...no...no...yes!" David said, pulling out the Tamate Box. "Alright… Now, all we need to do is…" he said before they all dodged a strike from a figure behind them.
"I'll be taking that." said a familiar young woman. "That box should be going to Cipher Pol."
"Ah, yes. I've heard about you as well. Strussy, the queen of the red light district. That's a nice cover." David said.
"It's pretty easy to hide in the underworld while keeping who you really are separate." Strussy said.
"Unfortunately, we're not all that popular with the World Government as of late, so you'd best not expect any favors from us." Leopardmon said.
"How about this? Unless you wish to forfeit your lives...I would surrender that box...right now." Strussy said.
"I think we'll take Option C." Cheetah said.
"Option C?" Strussy said before David tossed the box over the side. "No! You idiot! You realize what you just threw away?!"
"Trust us...if you knew what was inside, you wouldn't want it either." Titanica said.
"And...here come the fireworks." Mayumi said.
The Tamate box then soared down to the ground before breaking open, revealing a cluster of powerful explosives, which went off in the next second, causing a giant blast.
"That's the opening we needed. All forces, retreat! Let's get out of this hellhole!" David said.
They hurried down the castle as it began to tilt and sway. They jumped out of the side just as the entire castle collapsed.
"We need to keep running. Just cause the castle's down doesn't mean she will." Gajeel said.
"You know, the fact we brought Coronamon to you guys in Marina Island kind of made us look like chumps that we actually missed all of this." Captain Cold said. "I mean, seriously, Dave. You're a madman."
"Give him credit for having guts. No sane person would do stuff like that." Fulgore said.
"I tell you, Cheetah. I don't know how you manage to keep up with this guy. He is insane!" Tab said.
"I have my ways. One of which is knowing him so well." Cheetah said.
"We should probably get moving before…" Jexi said.
"Wedding Cake!" Big Mom shouted.
"And that's our cue. Head through the forest! It's the shortest route back to our ships!" Jexi said.
"Right. Let's get moving, people!" David said.
They quickly headed through the woods as the Big Mom Pirates as well as Big Mom herself pursued them.
"Okay, that's just not fair! How the hell is she so fast?!" Undyne yelled.
"It's because of the wedding cake. She has this weird condition. She's not going to calm down till she has the wedding cake she was expecting to get at the wedding." Jexi said.
"And unfortunately we...trashed it." Cheetah said. "I still got the taste of it. Chocolate red velvet."
"That was still a good entrance." Bow said.
"Luckily Sanji and Pudding will work to create a new one while we escape." Jexi said. "We just need to get back...before that woman kills us all."
The groups continued to retreat to the Galaxy King and Thousand Sunny with Big Mom hot on their tail.
"Hang on. Just a little...oh you gotta be…" Asta said as they saw Katakuri standing on the Sunny.
"You all caused this...you won't dare leave this island." Katakuri said.
"So, you're gonna be like that, huh?" David asked.
"It's my responsibility as a commander and an older brother." Katakuri said.
"As an older brother myself, I can understand the sentiment. But… Unfortunately, we can't let anyone stop us. Not even you." David said.
"Is he seriously going to fight this guy?! He'll be dead before he even makes a move!" Tab said.
"No, he won't. Trust me. He's got this." Ryoma said.
"He's fought him before and won. There's no doubt it can happen again." Jexi said.
David takes off his jacket and hat and tosses them aside.
"Fine...I'll put an end to you." Katakuri said removing his own jacket and showing his own mouth.
"So that's what you really look like under there. So, I guess that means you've embraced who you are." David said.
"You can spare me the chatter. The way you acted during all this...somehow I get the feeling you've seen it all before." Katakuri said.
"Guess you can say that." David said. "Though honestly… I still feel as though some of this was new to me."
"If that's the case...we shouldn't leave them waiting." Katakuri said as the two clashed right in midair.
