Hagrid gave them each a ticket to Platform 9 3/4, and he told them the Minister had a meeting with Dumbledore. They could stay at the Ministry for the rest of the summer but they have to return to Privet Drive for next summer.

"AWWW, no!" It was Hazel.

Hagrid took them both back to the Ministry of Potter Twins had a glorious summer. They took of to King Cross station on the 1st of September.

"This is it. this is it, Harry. A year without Aunt Petunia, Uncle Vernon and Dudley." Hazel wanted to appreciate the importance of the moment.

"This is odd, Platform 9 3/4." Harry looked at his ticket.

They stood there looking for the platform when they saw red headed boys, with trunks like theirs and owls. Hazel started to go towards the woman who was with them.

Now, what's the platform number?' said the boys' mother

. 'Nine and three-quarters!' piped a small girl, also red-headed, who was holding her hand. 'Mum, can't I go ...'

'You're not old enough, Ginny, now be quiet. All right, Percy, you go first.' What looked like the oldest boy marched towards platforms nine and ten. Harry and Hazel watched, careful not to blink in case they missed it – but just as the boy reached the divide between the two platforms, a large crowd of tourists came swarming in front of them, and by the time the last rucksack had cleared away, the boy had vanished. '

Fred, you next,' the plump woman said. 'I'm not Fred, I'm George,' said the boy. 'Honestly, woman, call yourself our mother? Can't you tell I'm George?'

'Sorry, George, dear.'

'Only joking, I am Fred,' said the boy, and off he went As he went, he smiled at Hazel. She smiled back.

. His twin called after him to hurry up, and he must have done, because a second later, he had gone – but how had he done it? Now the third brother was walking briskly towards the ticket barrier – he was almost there – and then, quite suddenly, he wasn't anywhere.

Excuse me,' Harry said to the plump woman.

'Hullo, dear,' she said. 'First time at Hogwarts? Ron's new, too.'

She pointed at the last and youngest of her sons. He was tall, thin and gangling, with freckles, big hands and feet and a long nose.

'Yes,' said Harry. 'The thing is – the thing is, I don't know how to –

' 'How to get on to the platform?' she said kindly, and Harry nodded.

'Not to worry,' she said. 'All you have to do is walk straight at the barrier between platforms nine and ten. Don't stop and don't be scared you'll crash into it, that's very important. Best do it at a bit of a run if you're nervous. Go on, go now before Ron.'

'Er – OK,' said Harry. Harry ran right between the Platform and Hazel saw him dissappear.

"Thank you, please." Hazel thanked her.

"Don't mention it, Dear."

Hazel followed Harry and appeared on the other end of the platform.A scarlet steam engine was waiting next to a platform packed with people. A sign overhead said Hogwarts Express, 11 o'clock.. They had done it. It was almost 11 O clock.

"Come on, let's go in, Harry."

As they both went to board on the train, they had trouble with the trunks.

'Want a hand?' It was one of the red-haired twins he'd followed through the ticket box. 'Yes, please,' Harry panted.

'Oy, Fred! C'mere and help!'

With the twins' help, Harry's and Hazel's trunks was at last tucked away in a corner of the compartment.

'Thanks,' said the Twins in unison, as Harry spiked up his hair with hands, pushing his sweaty hair out of his eyes and Hazel took the scrunchy from her wrist and tied her long flowing hair in a pony tail., .

'What's that?' said one of the twins suddenly, pointing at Harry's lightning scar.

'Blimey,' said the other twin. 'Are you –?'

'He is,' said the first twin.

'Aren't you?' he added to Hazel.

'What?' said Harry.

'Harry Potter,' said one of them.

"and she is Hazel, aren't you?"

The two boys gawped at them and the Potter felt themselves going red. They were so grateful when the Weasley twins hopped out as their mother called

'Now, you two – this year, you behave yourselves. If I get one more owl telling me you've – you've blown up a toilet or –' '

Blown up a toilet? We've never blown up a toilet.'

'Great idea though, thanks, Mum.'

'It's not funny. And look after Ron.'

'Don't worry, ickle Ronniekins is safe with us.

'Hey, Mum, guess what? Guess who we just met on the train?' Harry and Hazel leant back quickly so they couldn't see them looking.

'You know that black-haired boy who was near us in the station? Know who he is?'

'Who?' 'Harry Potter!'

"and the red headed girl?"

"it was Hazel."

Harry heard the little girl's voice. 'Oh, Mum, can I go on the train and see them, Mum, oh please ...'

'You've already seen them, Ginny, and the poor kid aren't something you goggle at in a zoo. Are they really, Fred? How do you know?'

'Asked em. Saw their scar. It's really there – like lightning.'

'Poor dear – no wonder they was alone. I wondered. Both of them was ever so polite when he asked how to get on to the platform.'

A whistle sounded.

'Hurry up!' their mother said, and the three boys clambered on to the train.

They leant out of the window for her to kiss them goodbye and their younger sister began to cry.

'Don't, Ginny, we'll send you loads of owls.'

'We'll send you a Hogwarts toilet seat.'

'George!'

'Only joking, Mum.'

The train began to move.

Anyone sitting there?' he asked, pointing at the seat opposite Harry and Hazel..

'Everywhere else is full.'

Harry shook his head and the boy sat down. He glanced at Harry and then at Hazel but looked quickly out of the window, pretending he hadn't looked. Harry saw he still had a black mark on his nose.

'Hey Ron.' The twins were back. 'Listen, we're going down the middle of the train – Lee Jordan's got a giant tarantula down there.'

'Right,' mumbled Ron.

'Harry ,Hazel,' said the George, 'did we introduce ourselves? Fred and George Weasley. And this is Ron, our brother. See you later, then.'

'Bye,' said Harry and Ron. The twins slid the compartment door shut behind them.

'Are you really the Potters?' Ron blurted out.

Hazel eyed him from the corner of her eyes. Ron blushed.

'I heard you went to live with Muggles,' said Ron

. 'What are they like?'

'Horrible – well, not all of them. My aunt and uncle and cousin are, though.

Wish I'd had three wizard brothers.' Hazel sighed

'Five,' said Ron. For some reason, he was looking gloomy. 'I'm the sixth in our family to go to Hogwarts. You could say I've got a lot to live up to. Bill and Charlie have already left – Bill was Head Boy and Charlie was captain of Quidditch. Now Percy's a Prefect. Fred and George mess around a lot, but they still get really good marks and everyone thinks they're really funny. Everyone expects me to do as well as the others, but if I do, it's no big deal, because they did it first. You never get anything new, either, with five brothers. I've got Bill's old robes, Charlie's old wand and Percy's old rat.'

Ron held scabbers in his hands as the cat in Hazel's hand s scratched and screehed.

"NOW, Crookshanks, he's a friend." She patted him till he calmed down but the eyes of the cat never left scabbers for the rest of the train ride.

"He is pretty much useless though, we couldn't afford an owl."

Ron's ears went pink. He seemed to think he'd said too much, because he went back to staring out of the window.

"we didn't have anything too." Hazel thought he felt embarrassed.

'Yeah... and until Hagrid told us, I didn't know anything about being magic or about my parents or Voldemort –'

Ron gasped.

'What?' said Harry.

'You said You-Know-Who's name!' said Ron, sounding both shocked and impressed. 'I'd have thought you, of all people –'

they were interrupted.

'Has anyone seen a toad? Neville's lost one,' she said. She had a bossy sort of voice, lots of bushy brown hair and rather large front teeth. she looked at the scar on Hazel's forehead and then on Harry'sand exclaimed," the Potter TWINs." She felt the compartment when a boy said," it's not here."

soon they heard a voice echoed through the train: 'We will be reaching Hogwarts in five minutes' time. Please leave your luggage on the train, it will be taken to the school separately. The first years were taken aside, by the boat ride to Hogwarts. as they reached up to the gate

The door swung open at once. A tall, black-haired witch in emerald-green robes stood there. She had a very stern face and Harry's first thought was that this was not someone to cross.

'The firs'-years, Professor McGonagall,' said Hagrid.

'Thank you, Hagrid. I will take them from here.'

She pulled the door wide. They all followed her in the Entrance hall,

Welcome to Hogwarts,' said Professor McGonagall.'The Sorting Ceremony will take place in a few minutes in front of the rest of the school. 'The four houses are called Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin. Each house has its own noble history and each has produced outstanding witches and wizards. While you are at Hogwarts, your triumphs will earn your house points, while any rule-breaking will lose house points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the House Cup.

Professor McGonagall now stepped forward holding a long roll of parchment.

'When I call your name, you will put on the hat and sit on the stool to be sorted,' she said. 'Abbott, Hannah!' A pink-faced girl with blonde pigtails stumbled out of line, put on the hat, which fell right down over her eyes, and sat down.

A moment's pause – 'HUFFLEPUFF!' shouted the hat.

The table on the right cheered and clapped as Hannah went to sit down at the Hufflepuff table. Harry saw the ghost of the Fat Friar waving merrily at her.

'Bones, Susan!' 'HUFFLEPUFF!' shouted the hat again, and Susan scuttled off to sit next to Hannah.

'Boot, Terry!' 'RAVENCLAW!'

'Potter, Harry!' As Harry stepped forward, whispers suddenly broke out like little hissing fires all over the hall.

'Potter, did she say?' 'The Harry Potter?

Not Slytherin, eh?' said the small voice. 'Are you sure? You could be great, you know, it's all here in your head, and Slytherin will help you on the way to greatness, no doubt about that – no? Well, if you're sure – better be GRYFFINDOR!'

"Potter, Hazel?" the people were still muttering,

"She said, Potter, didn't she?"

'Not Ravenclaw, eh?' said the small voice. 'Are you sure? You could be great, you know, it's all here in your head, You w ant to stay with your brother? no, Ravenclaw will be great for you? Well, if you're sure – better be GRYFFINDOR!

Hazel joined Harry, Ron, Hermione, and many others at the Gryffindor table. People were congratulating them.

"Congratulations, Hazel" Fred Weasley congratulated her

"Thank you, freddie." Hazel grinned. She was so happy to be with Harry.

"Freddie?"

"It suits you, Fred seems like serious."

Fred laughed, " See you later, then," He went off to join his friends.
