Solve the rubix cube "I love you just the way you are."

Lily stared at herself in the mirror as she looked at the rounded belly. She knew that was the way everyone looked but she felt ugly. It must have shown on her face because when James came in he frowned and held her.

"I love you just the way you are."

"I'm fat."

"You're pregnant with our child. I love you more every day and even if you gained two hundred pounds then that's more of you to love."

"You're an awful liar, James."

"I'm not lying. I don't know how I could live without you anymore."

"James- this is a risky pregnancy. If… I die, you need to move on and take care of our son. We both knew it going in that…"

"I know. Everything is going to be fine- you will be fine and so will our son. The doctors are wrong."

"What if they're right?"

"Then we'll get a miracle. I promised you that we'll be happy together the rest of our lives."

"Do you really believe that?"

"What other choice do I have? Even if the doctors are right that doesn't mean that you will die."

She turned and sobbed into his chest and he rubbed her back drawing circles on it with his finger. The doctors were probably right. It was too late to terminate, though, even if they wanted to. Their son was going to be born.

"Promise me if Harry comes out okay and I die that you'll find happiness. I don't want to think that you will be alone all your life and Harry needs a mother.

"I… promise, Lily, if you promise to make sure that you do your best to make sure it never happens."

James held out a pinky and they pinky swore. They looked serious for a moment before they broke out in laughter. They hadn't done that since they were children but as she stared into his eyes she knew it was a promise. He nodded and she knew that no matter what Harry would be safe.

It was quiet for a while as she dozed off while James prepared dinner. It would only be a month until he came. She rubbed her belly and he kicked and she promised Harry that she would never leave him. He would be loved by her forever.

The dinner was quiet and James kept her occupied by talking. Neither of them mentioned the evening. It wasn't the first time- nor the last time- that it would happen before their son came into the world. He helped her get around as she struggled a bit over the stairs. They reached the top of the stairs together and after brushing tucked her in. He sat on his side of the bed. Taking out a piece of paper from the drawer he stared at it. Lily and his son stood beside a gravestone with his name on it.
