Luna glanced at her 'partner' Ginny Weasley. The red-head was preoccupied with her mission report. Luna had already done hers- it was the standard search and destroy mission. Magic was detected in the area and they were to seek and make sure that magic source was either saved or destroyed depending on what it came from. This time it came from a muggleborn who got a hold of a wand and as standard procedure sent it to research and development.
Harry Potter walked into the office carrying a tray pumpkin juice. She winced as someone smacked him in the head with a paper before the went back to work. A year older than both of them but as the son of a dishonored auror and 'naturalized' witch he was unlikely to really get anywhere.
"Here's your pumpkin juice, Luna. Ginny wanted one too, right?" Harry asked.
"I can hear you, Potter. Give me mine and get back to work." Ginny said from her desk.
Luna nodded and gave him a small smile as he moved to the desk. Minister Tom Riddle was a hard man to please and with Lord Voldemort out there things were dangerous for anyone not without the dark mark. He seemed to stay clear of certain departments in the ministry but otherwise anyone with muggleborn blood or a pureblood who questioned the regime or showed any heart to those of lesser status seemed to be targeted.
Talking stopped when a handsome male in his sixties walked in. Black hair was peppered with white with unnaturally bright blue eyes looked around before his eyes fell on Harry Potter. His personal assistant Neville walked behind the British Minister of Magic. Everyone watched enviously as Tom Riddle approached him and then led him away from the room.
Harry Potter disappeared after that- he was declared as fired and his parents were told that Harry Potter was a rebel so was exiled. Deep in a private dungeon Harry Potter woke up and shut his eyes again. He was alone for now and he liked it better that way.
Tom Riddle resigned days after Harry Potter was found dead at the border. He had the real Harry Potter in his dungeon and the next minister, a nobody named Fudge, would serve as a good puppet. Tom smiled as he apparated home and found Harry sleeping. He stroked his beard and grinned. He couldn't wait to wake up Harry Potter.
