"Anyways. The competition will be starting soon." said Brock. Competition? Thought Kate.
"Great! Pikachu, let's go." said Ash. "Coming Kate?"
"Yeah." said Kate.
"Here Kate." said May. She give Kate a dress and Kate put it on. Kate put a hat on Aqua. Then all of them went off. They went off to the competition. Kate and Aqua were there first. They sat down. Then May, Max and Brock showed up.
"About time." said Kate.
"Sorry." They said.
"Where is Ash and Pikachu?" asked Kate.
"Doing the competition." said May.
"Presenting Her Royal Majesty," said the Referee. "The illustrious ruler of Cameran Palace, Lady Ilene."
Kate looked around and saw a woman. She was waving.
"Just look at her...she's beautiful!" said May.
"Yeah." said Kate.
"And NOW in honor of Sir Aaron and his noble deeds we will begin our annual Pokemon contest!" said Ilene. With that, Ash ran out of a door with Pikachu on him. A other boy was calling his Pokemon. As for Ash, he used Pikachu. He did the first move. It hurt the other Pokemon. Pikachu keep hurting the other Pokemon. Pikachu and Ash won. Then a other person send out a Weaville. And Ash got out a other Pokemon then Pikachu. This Pokemon can fly. The Pokemon tried to hurt Weaville. Weaville jumped high and hurt Ash's Pokemon. Weaville won.
10 mins later,
"Weaville is unable to battle. Pikachu wins." said a Referee. "We have a new Guardian for the year, Ash Ketchum from Pallet Town!"
"Yeah! We did it!" yelled Ash.
"Go Ash!" said Kate.
"Pikachu!" said Ash. Pikachu ran to Ash. Then an Aipom ran to Pikachu. Pikachu was confused. Then he became excited. The person walked up and took the mask off. It was a girl.
"That was a great battle. Congratulations, you two." said the person.
"That guy was a girl!" yelled May and Kate.
"Let's get his autograph!" said a little green hair girl.
"I can't believe it!" said a boy. Then Kate and May looked around for Max and Brock.
"Nice to meet you. I'm Kidd." said the person with the mask.
"I'm Ash." said Ash.
"And I'm Brock. At your service." said Brock. "I just wanted you to know that if you're ever in need of a squire, you can always count on me-"
"Good grief." said Max. He hurt Brock's ear. "Even a suit of armor isn't enough protection from you.."
"Not the ear." said Brock. Everyone went in the castle. Kate and Aqua was next of Ash. Ilene give Ash a staff.
"This is the Staff of the Guardian that once belonged to the great Sir Aaron." said Ilene, "According to our tradition, the winner of the Pokemon contest is named the "Aura Guardian" for the year and is presented with this staff."
"Awesome." said Ash.
"On behalf of my kingdom, Ash it's your." said Ilene.
"Thanks." said Ash. He grabbed it. "This really belonged to Sir Aaron?"
Ash looking at it. Kate looked at it too. They both saw something and heard something.
"Why did you betray me?" asked the voice. They can't believe it. Ash looked at the woman.
"Did you say something, ma'ma?" asked Ash.
"Not a word." said the woman. They looked around.
"You heard something, right Kate?" asked Ash.
"Yeah." said Kate.
