A/N: I had this story up before with Percy/Pansy pairing. But I decided to change it to Harry/Pansy pairing since it would be a better fit for what I had in mind.
Italics are Harry's thoughts.
Harry was beyond tired and the day wasn't even half over. He was overworked at the Ministry - he worked long hours of every day of the week. Even on his days off, he would come into his office and do more work. It wasn't that he loved work, it was just that his particular job consisted of lots of paperwork - the type of paperwork that didn't just take a day to complete. More like several days out of the week. Plus, he was an auror and they had enough field work as it is. Not to mention, a ton of paperwork to add the cherry on top.
He was due for an office meeting in a half hour. But he had half a mind to skip it and leave to an early lunch. Maybe leave for lunch and not return to work that day. He felt like crap and he looked like crap. He was paler than usual, his hair color was dull, and he had black bags under his eyes.
But Harry knew he couldn't miss. He prided himself on meeting his deadlines, attending every work meeting, and never missing a day at work - not even when he was sick. His work ethic wouldn't allow him to do anything outside of the rules of the Ministry. Plus, he was THE Harry Potter. Everyone was watching him since he was known as the Savior of the Wizarding World. He didn't particularly care being referred to as that, but it did have its perks. But he only took advantage of those perks in dire circumstances.
Looking to his watch, he realized that he still had a good amount of time left before the meeting started.
I'll just put my head down for a little bit. A small nap won't hurt me.
But Harry didn't wake up for the meeting and just like he said, they let it slide. However, there was one person in particular that wasn't going to allow it. Not by a long shot.
Harry slowly woke up and stretched his aching muscles. He rolled his shoulders, rubbed his eyes, and yawned.
Hm. Must have fallen asleep again.
Harry completely forgot about his meeting. He grabbed his wand to check for the time. It was 9 o'clock.
He looked at the unfinished paperwork on his desk and grabbed a quill to do work again.
He was completely unaware about the person in his office, let alone the person sitting in a chair directly across his desk.
"Potter."
Harry's head immediately snapped up.
Sitting before him was the one and only Pansy Parkinson.
Shit.
