Good Burger Takes Over the Schneiderverse Chapter 10, part 1

Scene 21: iReunite With Sam

Location: Los Angeles, California
Date/Time: August 12, 2018 at 9:30 AM
Building/Landmark: LAX Airport, Sam and Cat's Apartment 22, streets of LA
Characters Present: Carly Shay (played by Miranda Cosgrove), Col. Steven Shay (played by David Chism), Spencer Shay (played by Jerry Trainor), Sam Puckett (played by Jennette McCurdy), Freddie Benson (played by Nathan Kress), Gibby Gibson (played by Noah Munck)

[It's the moment we had all been waiting for. After hours of travel across the country, the iCarly and Victorious gangs finally reunite after seven long years. The last time everyone was together, they sang their massive hit "Leave It All to Shine" at a party hosted by Andre Harris at Kenan Thompson's house.

Kenan himself made an appearance and helped Carly and Tori destroy Steven Carson, their mutual boyfriend at the time for cheating on both girls. They humiliated him live on iCarly and he never had another girlfriend ever again after that.

Now, everyone is coming back together for different reasons. Cat's friends: Robbie, Tori, Andre, Beck and Jade are returning to help her plan her deceased Nona's funeral, while Carly, her dad, Freddie, Spencer and Gibby are reuniting with Sam to celebrate a long-awaited homecoming from Italy.

Not everyone shows up at the same place at the same time once they arrive back in Los Angeles. Tori and Andre head for the Vega's house in Hollywood while Carly, her dad, Freddie, Spencer and Gibby go straight to Sam and Cat's apartment in Venice, Beck, Jade and Robbie and not too far behind as their flights from Las Vegas and New York are just coming in. Apparently, Robbie's flights were delayed several times and he had to sleep in the airport, which was NOT comfortable at all.

Spencer, Freddie and Gibby are all gathered waiting outside Sam and Cat's apartment, being as quiet as they can be. Carly and her dad take another Zipper car from LAX airport to the building in Venice. Meanwhile, Sam and Cat are inside babysitting Stephanie, as Toby's parents picked him up from the hospital and took them over to Tori and Trina's house. Sam, Cat and Stephanie are playing their all time favorite video game Rap Attack. They are completely unaware of what is going on just outside their doors.

Outside, Gibby is dancing along to the music coming from the video game, and even begins to take his shirt off for the first time in many years. As he got older, Gibby decided against taking his shirt off because he felt the gimmick got old and immature. He replaced this with saying his own name in a weird way, i.e. Gibbbaayyy. However, he missed the old trick of removing his shirt so he decided to do it just this once.

Carly and her dad and closely approaching Sam and Cat's apartment building in their Zipper car. As they get closer, the voiceover lady counts down the distance.

"In one mile, you will approach your final destination...in 0.5 miles, you will arrive at your destination. In a quarter of a mile, you will arrive at your final destination." Tensions build inside Carly's mind as they get closer and closer. Obviously, she and Sam have a LOT to catch up on because a lot has happened since she moved to Italy. The car finally approaches the building.

"You have arrived", says the Zipper car's voice. "Your total fare is "$22.50." Carly asks her dad, "do you have the money?" He says, "I thought you were going to pay the fare." "No, I assumed you would cover it. That's why I asked you in the first place. Why would I have asked you, 'Dad, do you have the money' if I didn't assume you were going to pay the fare in the first place?"

Col. Shay tells her daughter, "I'm sorry. I spent all my cash on the last Zipper car fare on the trip from the airport to your apartment in Rome. All of my money has been frozen in an overseas bank account for about a week until they transfer it over to a bank here in the states. Until then, I'm completely broke!"

"Well, now we're in a bit of a pickle, aren't we?" Carly said. "Wait a minute. I might have just enough in my purse. Let me check real quick." She quickly rummages through the purse and luckily finds just enough in cash and change to pay the fare. "Of course, I could have just put it on my credit card, but I already spent a lot while in Italy on all of that fancy film and video equipment, and I need to go to the bank to get things set up here in the states."

[Carly takes out the money and puts it in the slot, in which the car's voice says "Thanks for your payment. Have a zippy day! You may now exit the vehicle." Carly and her dad open the door and start walking towards Sam and Cat's apartment building to meet Freddie, Spencer and Gibby.

The only problem is they don't know which building Sam and Cat live in! There are so many buildings on this street alone that would confuse any out-of-towner. Luckily, Carly has Freddie's number. Since he was here once before, Freddie was able to guide Spencer and Gibby to Sam and Cat's exact apartment. However, Carly and her dad have never visited the place in their entire lives, so obviously they are lost.

Back in the courtyard by Sam and Cat's apartment, Freddie is in the middle of telling Spencer and Gibby about his last visit, in which Cat called him down to LA in order to get even at Sam for stealing one of her friends. "So, here I was thinking Sam had been really hurt, because her roommate Cat made up a story about Sam being hit by an SUV! Cat wanted to hang out with me, and we eventually met up with Sam and Jade at Bots. Sam was surprised and apparently not too happy to see me. Well, I eventually found out it was just a trick, and I wasn't the only one. Sam had done the same thing with Cat's boyfriend Robbie, and he was just completely and strangely happy with what was going on. I was the one who told him we were both being used, but apparently he had no self respect and just exclaimed for joy. Apparently he has had a lack of use and was happy to be, quote unquote a pawn in the game of love, whatever that means."

At this point Spencer particularly was very curious about how the rest of Freddie's story went. He asked, "at what point did you actually know it was all a trick? How long did it take you to put the puzzle together?

"Well, it was that strange and convincing argument that Sam and Cat had. You see, the two of them went back and forth at each other about how each of them stole each other's best friends. It all started when Cat and I were talking about iCarly, and how I did the 5, 4, 3, 2 thing before starting each show. Then, all of a sudden, Cat shushed me up after hearing a guitar, which apparently was played by Robbie, her love interest. She opened the door, barged the door open and shouted out her boyfriend's name really loud. The two of them just went at it confronting each other about how dare they try to take the guys they've loved away from them. Sam was not completely honest, falsely claiming that I love her. But really, though, after years of reflecting on that, I've finally figured that my heart's set on Carly."

[At this exact point, Freddie's phone rings with guess who on the other end.] "And speaking of Carly…", he tells the others. He answers the phone.

"Hello? Oh, hey Carly. Glad to hear your voice. It's been a really long time, hasn't it?" Carly says, "Oh, yeah, it has been quite a long time. We can talk about that later but right now I need your help. My dad and I just got dropped off at Sam's apartment building but we don't know what building to go to, what floor we need to be on and what apartment number we should be at."

Freddie guides Carly, "OK. You see those three houses?" Carly says, "yes." Freddie continues, "Well, we're at the big yellow house in the middle. Just climb the big spiral staircase to the second floor. You should see an open air hallway with some greenery and bushes. That's where we are."

Carly acknowledges Freddie's instructions and tells her father. "Well, Sam's house in the big yellow one in the middle. Freddie says all we need to do is go up that big spiral staircase to the second floor where we will come across this hallway with greenery and bushes. You see it?"

Col. Shay scans the street side in front of him and finally identifies the spiral staircase. "I see it. Come on, let's go!" He and Carly proceed to the spiral staircase, which is located a few yards in front of them. Unfortunately, the landlord didn't really maintain the steps so they are a bit chipped, cracked and full of thorns, leaves and other debris. Carly and her dad have to proceed very carefully in order to make it to the second floor safely.

Carly says, "Dang it, why doesn't anyone take proper care of these stairs? Anyone walking up them could seriously trip, fall and crack their head open!" Her dad replies, "I know! When I was in the service, whoever would be responsible for poor stair or sidewalk maintenance would be court-martialed!"

The two of them continue up the stairs until they reach the second level. They know this because they are spot the courtyard full of bushes and greenery, and can now hear the distant voices of Spencer, Freddie and Gibby as they still wait outside of Sam and Cat's apartment. On the inside, Sam and Cat are still unaware of what is going on outside their doors, as they are now playing a game of hide-and-seek with Stephanie.

Freddie, Gibby and Spencer quiet down as Carly and her father gradually approach Sam and Cat's apartment area. Freddie is the first to hear the sound of approaching footsteps and asks, "hey, do you hear something?" Gibby and Spencer hear the footsteps as well as the courtyard quiets down. "Yeah, I hear footsteps. I wonder who that must be." Within a second, Carly and Col. Shay finally show up as Freddie, Spencer and Gibby rapidly approach them and give them all big hugs and shouts for joy.

"Carly! Col Shay! Oh, my god, it's been so long! How have you been? They all say as all of them are very excited for this long awaited reunion. Since Gibby, Spencer and Freddie have been separated from them by at least 6 years, they all have had a lot to catch up on. Now is their opportunity. In the meantime, Sam and Cat are beginning to take notice as they start to pick up on the noise from outside their door.

"What's that noise?" Sam asks Cat. "I don't know, Sam. Sounds like it's coming from just outside our door." Sam goes to open the door but at first sees nothing because Carly, her dad, Freddie, Spencer and Gibby have moved to the back of the courtyard outside the door's line of sight. However, Sam's ears pick up the noise to her right. Sam turns to her right and says "Keep it down over there" and then sees Carly, Col. Shay, Freddie and Gibby all together for the first time in almost 6 years.

Sam immediately runs to them and gives out a big "hey" as she is more than delighted to see them, especially Carly. "Carly? Spencer? Freddie? Gibby? Col. Shay? What are you all doing here?" Sam asks. Col. Shay tells Sam, "I thought we'd all come out to LA for a big reunion to celebrate my retirement from the US Air Force. It was supposed to be a surprise, but I guess the secret's out."

Sam then asks, "I'm surprised you came directly to LA. Why didn't you all go to Seattle first?" Carly tells her best friend, "It was all my dad's idea. He knew that you were living here in LA with Cat, and wanted to surprise you with a big reunion." Col. Shay interjects, "That's right, Sam. Even though I haven't interacted with you directly, I've heard a lot about you and how you've been the best of friends for my daughter. Even though you have done a lot of things to get into a lot of trouble, as well as encouraged Carly, Freddie and everyone else to do the same, I know you have a good heart and Carly is best to have you as a friend."

Sam smiles back at Carly's dad, very grateful that he has accepted her as part of his daughter's life even though sometimes she can serve as a very bad example for Carly, Freddie and everyone else around her.

"Thanks, Col. Shay", Sam says as she accepts her best friend's father's welcome. At this same moment, Cat comes to the door to check out all the ruckus that had been going on.

"I heard this big noise and commotion outside. Sam, what's going on?" Cat then turns to see Carly, Freddie, Spencer and Gibby along with Sam and Col. Shay. Cat then squeals in excitement, since she was also a big fan of the iCarly web show. "Oh, my god. What are you all doing here?" Sam answers, "the iCarly gang decided to surprise us with this little reunion. Isn't it great? I haven't seen my best friend Carly in at least 6 years. We have so much to catch up on!"

Carly, who was out of plain view for a second, then comes out next to Sam and sees Cat. As soon as this happens, Cat runs over to Carly and exclaims in excitement, "OMG, it's Carly! You have no idea how much of a big fan I am of your show! And don't forget Gibby!". Cat turns over to look at Gibby as she says this. After hearing his name from Cat, Gibby turns around says his signature "Gibbayyy", then thanking Cat for being a fan. "The show was really a lot of fun. I'm glad we have some fans who really appreciated all the funny stuff we did all those years ago."

Sam says, "Hey. Now that we're all together, what are we doing standing outside the apartment with the door open and we're letting all the air in? Why don't we all head inside? Carly, Gibby, Col. Shay and Spencer, you can all see the apartment for the first time. Freddie has already seen it. Remember, Fredbag?

Freddie says, "Oh, yeah, Sam. I remember, vividly." Everyone walks into the apartment and Cat is the last one in, so she closes the door. Carly, Gibby, Col. Shay and Spencer survey the inside of the apartment and are completely impressed by what they see.

"Wow! The furniture in this apartment is awesome! Look at the couch, the red refrigerator, the guitar on the wall and everything else!" Carly tells Sam. "Sam, where'd you get all of this stuff? Was this all there when you moved in?"

Sam told Carly, "actually, we went onto the set of That's A Drag after it was cancelled and tricked the producers to send it all to this apartment."

Carly asked Sam, "Why'd you do that?" Sam replied, "because Cat really wanted a piece of the show to remember it by after it was abruptly cancelled. So I came up with this brilliant plan to be the assistant to the studio's president and have all the props be sent here. They were going to send all this stuff to a storage facility anyway."

Cat barged in with, "it's true. I was just as surprised myself when I saw all the new furniture. I appreciated what Sam had done to bring me a piece of a TV show that was so dear to me, but then I was worried that Nona would find out. She was too busy, though with the kids that we were babysitting."

Sam then said, "actually, they were ours to begin with. But then we dropped them off at Elderly Acres and essentially left them behind with Nona."

Cat then said "oh, yeah. One of them, Bob kept asking questions and the other one, Ethan, always wanted to cling onto somebody. They tired Nona out and she just wanted the kids off her back."

Sam chimed in with, "She only asked about the furniture once, but since then she'd be over here many times and never asked about the change in furniture, even though all of her stuff is in the storage facility that the props from That's A Drag were supposed to go to."

"You are one tricky, clever girl, Sam. You haven't changed a bit, have you?", said Carly as she still could not process everything Sam said. "I've gotten myself into a lot of hijinks since you went to Italy", Sam said.

"Oh, yeah? Why don't you tell me all about those hijinks you got yourself into. I'd love to hear more about them. Go ahead, start now and don't leave a single detail out." Carly said.

Sam replied, "Oh, you don't want to hear everything about what I've gotten myself into. We'd be here all day and night."

Carly goes, "Oh, OK. But can you tell us at least one story where you really messed up big time?"

Cat, listening to Carly and Sam talk, has one instance in mind, which was, of course, when Sam decided to leave her in jail in Phoenix just so that Nona could take care of her for two more weeks. She jumps in with, "Well, Carly, I do have one story suggestion in mind, something that Sam did to me that I will never forget!" Sternly, Cat says to Sam, "I think you know what I'm talking about, hmm?"

Sam has a guilt-stricken look on her face, and then tells Cat, "I thought we went over this and you forgave me."

Cat says, "I still forgive you, but I won't forget. That entire experience traumatized me."

Carly asks, "What are you two talking about? This doesn't sound any good." Now looking at Sam, Carly urges her to spill the beans and tell her side of the story. "Sam, the floor is yours. Tell me what happened, NOW!"

Sam begins to tell the story, "All right. It was four years ago when Dice, this kid who lived in our building, went to Phoenix to take part in a teen hair modeling competition. Cat went with him. I can't exactly remember why…

Cat reminded Sam, "because Dice's mom and aunt were away, so they asked me to go with him. We ended up taking a bus to Phoenix and Dice was afraid to use the bathroom on the bus because he didn't know where the poop goes after the toilet flushes."

Sam continues telling the story, "Then, out of nowhere before they left, Nona came to visit because funk mites had infested Elderly Acres. Nona needed a place to stay so Cat offered her bed to her while she and Dice were away in Phoenix. No way was I going to stay with Nona, so I initially asked Cat to go with her, but then Cat reminded me they were going to the state of Arizona."

Carly then asked, "wait a minute, why couldn't you go to Arizona?"

Sam hesitated and stumbled when answering the question, but then eventually confessed, "...um, because, I may have broken the law there and the police may have an arrest warrant for me."

Carly, Spencer and Gibby gasp at this news, but inside they weren't really surprised. Freddie just smirks and says "ugh", knowing that he would expect Sam to do and say that.

Sam notices Freddie's smirk and says, "hey, Fredbag. What was that?" Freddie says, "what are you talking about? Sam answers, "Your face, that remark. What was that about?" Freddie then responds, "I wasn't surprised about warrants out for your arrest in Arizona. That's what I expected out of you. It's hard for to imagine that you don't have warrants in other states. How many"

Cat then interrupts Freddie with, "Oh, I can answer that question. In fact, I even made up a special song to help Sam remember all the states that Sam is wanted by the cops." She begins the song, "Where are the states that Sam can't go? Arizona, Utah and Ohio." Carly then asks, "Sam, what did you do?"

Sam hesitates to answer and tries to lie, but then says, "Well, I robbed a few fast food restaurants and may have seriously injured some of the employees at each one. I mean, come on. Arizona fried chicken tastes way better than Texas fried chicken. And have you had the double cheeseburgers from Utah? Way better than the cheeseburgers you get from Inside Out Burger."

Carly then says, "and your craving for Arizona fried chicken and Utah cheeseburgers was enough to seriously injure the employees? Let me guess. when they asked you to pay and you didn't have any money, did you just knock them out with your butter sock?"

Sam, blushing, hesitantly but honestly admits, "kinda, yeah."

Carly was about to get up from her seat and attack Sam, but before she would move an inch, Cat continued to sing her song, "There's three more states that Sam can't be: Texas, New Hampshire and Tennessee."

Sam then added to the end of the song, "I'm also not welcome in Europe." Everyone else in the room, including Carly, Freddie, Spencer and Gibby, had very strange and confused looks on their faces as they listened to the song. Spencer blurted out, "what happened in Europe? Sam, you didn't tell us about what you did over there."

Sam was embarrassed and tried to get the conversation back on track. "Well, that doesn't matter right now. Cat, why don't you get back to telling the story about what happened in Phoenix, Arizona with Dice?"

Cat then says, "Love to. Anyway, we get to Phoenix and visit the studio where Dice's photo shoot was supposed to take place. Dice said at first that he would get the teen modeling gig right away, but it turned out that he along with other male teen hair models were going to compete for the cover. Dice was very discouraged about this.

Then, out of a sudden, this really cute and hot boy with big, blonde flowing hair came into the room and everyone turned their heads. His name was Jett Zander. I thought at first he was wearing a wig, because I obviously didn't think that a boy that hot would actually style his hair that way. So, Dice and I came up with a plan to blow off Jett Zander's wig. We tried using fans, but that only made the situation worse because it made his hair even better. Then, the next day when they announced the winner of the cover, I just went in and tried to tear the wig off of Jett myself!"

Everyone gasped, and then asked what happened next.

Cat continued, "Well, turns out it wasn't a wig. It was Jett Zander's actual hair. I was panicked and didn't know what to do. They ended up taking him to a scalp hospital, and then the police also came and arrested me."

Everyone gasped again, as they did not expect Cat to do something vicious enough to get arrested.

"Dice called Sam, who was with my Nona, and apparently told her to come to Phoenix and bail me out. But that never actually happened…". Cat then looks directly at Sam with an angry face, alluding to what Sam did instead. "Come on Sam, talk." Cat's tone of voice now turns stern and firm. "Just tell everyone what you did, how you took advantage of my Nona's hospitality without a care or concern about your best friend and roommate's well-being!"

Everyone else in the room looks at Sam, who finally breaks and says, "All right, all right, Cat, I confess. I lied to your Nona about you going to jail. I said you and Dice decided to stay in Arizona for two more weeks and she should continue to take care of me. I mean, those were the most relaxing few days of my life! Nona cooked dinner for me, did my laundry, babysit the kids that I didn't really like anyway, and it was like living in a new world!"

Cat continues the argument with Sam by saying, "do you know what happened to me during those two painful weeks in jail? My cell mates were mean, aggressive and played with my red velvet hair constantly! They hated it so much, they pulled it all the time and then threatened to beat me down if I didn't let them! You haven't learned anything, Sam! Selfish is what you have been and will always be!"

Sam then remembered the time when That's a Drag was cancelled and she offered to send all the props from the show to their apartment. "I'm not selfish all the time. Hey, remember when That's a Drag ended and I went through all the trouble to bring you everything from the set of the show? I did all that because I knew how sad you were and I wanted you to have a piece of the show to always remind you of it." And how could you forget the time when we just met? If it weren't for me, you'd still be at the dump or eaten alive by that garbage truck!

Cat, thinking about those times and others, realized inside everything Sam has done to be on her side from the first day they met. However, she also recognized Sam's flaws that, at times, did more harm to her and didn't take her feelings or current situation into account.

At this point, Carly, who was listening to the entire argument, felt like it was time for her to intervene and speak up. After all, she was forced into being Sam and Freddie's "couples counselor" when the two of them were dating and constantly got into several arguments and confrontations. Even though Carly did not like being in the middle of the situation and really wanted Sam and Freddie to work out their issues on their own, Carly genuinely felt saying something now would be the best thing to do.

"You know, Sam, it seems like forever since I've seen you in person but I can tell that a lot of stuff has been going on. Now, obviously, I've been away in Italy for the past six years and I wasn't there when this supposedly horrible situation was happening with your roommate Cat here, so this is coming completely from a girl who knows no better. But, based on what I've had to listen to for the past several minutes, it seems like you two need to put this all behind you, forgive each other and move on. It's all in the past now."

Carly now turns to Cat to offer some sound advice for her, "now, Cat, please don't take any offense. You can take it for a grain of salt because I don't know you as well as Sam, but, it sounds like you've been a very good friend to Sam and you've kept her grounded while I've been overseas. I couldn't ask for anyone else but you to be there for Sam and get through all of the tough times.

Right now, the two of you are having a disagreement that you obviously can't seem to move on from. I've been there. Even Sam can tell you all the times I've helped her and Freddie get through rough times in their relationship. Even though I didn't want to be their 24/7 couples counselor, I feel like my advice was helpful enough for them to get through the ups and downs."

Freddie then interrupted Carly and said, "yes, but it was short lived. Sam and I broke up not too long after that. I guess our relationship wasn't really meant to be."

Carly dismissed Freddie's comment for a moment, and then finished by saying, "my best advice right now is to stop with all this bickering, calm down, take a deep breath and then just listen to each other. Put others above yourself. Think about what the other person may be thinking and feeling as well as the possible consequences of your actions. Think yourself through situations before you act."

Now with Carly's advice in mind, Sam and Cat stared at each other without saying a word. They just gazed into each other's eyes, reflecting upon what Carly said to them and what their friendship meant to them. Realizing that this experience was over and in the past and there are more important things in life and lot more adventures moving forward, the two of them quickly embraced in a hug, both of them almost crying.

After they release each other from the hug, Sam asks Cat, "now, you've forgiven me from this once before. Are you truly going to forgive me now?" Cat answers with, "yes, I'm 100% sure I will forgive you. It's time to move on."

With that, everyone in the room calmed down. They were all glad to see each other and spend this quality time together. Gibby, who hadn't said anything in a while, asked randomly, "so, what do you guys do for fun around here?

Sam says, "well, one of things that I love to do when babysitting kids is playing this awesome video game called Rap Attack. We were just playing it with this kid we were babysitting before you all came in. Here, Gib, wanna take the mic?" Sam hands one microphone over to Gibby, then grabs another for herself and starts up the machine. Cat, then grabs the third microphone while Carly, Spencer and Freddie all gather around the TV. "Pick a song", says Sam. "This particular one is one of my favorites", pointing to the song on the screen called That Good Life, the song that they have been playing constantly since they babysit a kid named Benny, who started a competition between the two of them to see who was the best babysitter.

They all select the song and start rapping. Everyone has a good time while Gibby has the most fun playing the game. He ultimately wins, and at the end of the song, Gibby drops the mic and says his signature phrase, "Gibbayyy" (or Gibbeh).

Scene 22: Here We Are, Once Again (A Victorious Reunion)

Location: Los Angeles, California
Date/Time: August 12, 2018 at 11:00 AM
Building/Landmark: Streets of LA, Vega Residence
Characters Present: Tori Vega (played by Victoria Justice), Trina Vega (played by Daniella Monet), Tom Vega, Caitlin Vega, Toby Vega, Andre Harris (played by Leon Thomas III), Cat Valentine (played by Ariana Grande), Robbie Shapiro (played by Matt Bennett), Beck Oliver (played by Avan Jogia), Jade West (played by Elizabeth Gillies)

[While the iCarly crew reunited with Sam and Cat, the rest of the Victorious gang were headed home as well. Tori, Andre, Robbie, Beck and Jade also came home to LA to support Cat in her time of loss and need after her Nona died.

However, they decided not to go directly to Sam and Cat's apartment. Instead, they all decided to head to the Vega house where they all spent a lot of time together.

Tori was eager to get back home to see her sister and parents again, because she had not seen them in a long time. She also wondered what Trina was up to after her one-woman show about life in Chicago was cancelled.

Unbeknownst to her, two additional family members Tori and Trina have never met are waiting at the house as well: their long lost cousin Tom and his wife Caitlin along with their unknown nephew Toby. They decided to pay Trina a visit after Toby went missing, was found by Sam and Cat and then by hospital security after he wandered off while they tended to Nona.

Everyone's flight got in on time, except for Robbie's, which was delayed due to weather. He was really bummed about the delay and wanted to see Cat again. It had been years and he was eager to see the young woman that Cat had become over such time,

Just like Carly and her dad, Tori, Andre, Beck and Jade took Zipper cars from the airport to the Vega house. Tori and Andre rode in one car together while Beck and Jade rode in another. Everyone could now drive now, including Tori, who finally decided to give up the courage to take her driver's test and get her own driver's license.

Andre pointed this out to Tori by saying, "isn't it ironic that we're riding in a Zipper car from the airport, since you just got your driver's license before you started your tour?" Tori answered, "Yeah, but what does it matter? I'm a multi-platinum Grammy-winning pop star now. I've been so busy and focused working on my music and this last tour. Pop stars don't need to worry about driving anyways."

Andre finds Tori's joke to be funny and laughs. He then asks, "How are you feeling going back home again?" She replies, "Well, honestly, I am a bit nervous and anxious. I mean, I haven't seen the rest of my family in at least 5 years. I do miss Trina, even though I admit she can be an obnoxious pain at times. I also miss my mom and dad. They have been there for me ever since I came into this world. They have been my support system, my rock and I owe everything to them."

Andre then asked Tori, "What about the rest of your family? I know I've met your parents and Trina, but was always curious about your extended family." Tori was surprised at the question, thought about it for a moment, and then said to Andre, "Hmm, I don't actually know. You've stumped me on this one. I mean, I know my parents have always told Trina and I about our countless number of aunts, uncles and cousins in the Vega family but didn't really go into much detail about who they were or how we were all related to them. So, honestly, if there any any more of us out there, they would be complete strangers to me I mean, that may sound mean to talk about members of my own family that way, but to be completely honest that's all I can say about them because I never really met or interacted with them throughout any course of my life."

Andre nods at what Tori said and then replied with, "Don't get down on yourself. I understand where you're coming from. If I suddenly knew that I had family I didn't know I had, I'd feel the same way."

Just as Tori and Andre wrapped up their conversation, the Zipper car finally pulled up to the Vega residence, with the Zipper car voice saying "You have arrived at your destination. Your total fare for this trip is $25." Like Carly, Tori had not expected to pay and assumed Andre would fit the bill. "Do you have the money to cover it", Tori asked.

"I'm sorry, I thought you were paying for the ride", Andre said. "What gave you that impression?", Tori answered back. Andre said, "well, because of your fame and fortune."

Tori said, "well that's not a good assumption. I'm not going through this again."

Andre was puzzled by what Tori said, as she explained: "Do you remember that one day when we were late to class and smelled like squid? Robbie stayed behind? Well, we were stuck at Nozu because Robbie offered to pay for our meal but ended up leaving his money at school. Turns out we both left our wallets at Hollywood Arts and didn't have enough money to pay. So, the manager, who happened to be the same woman who owned Wok Star, had us work by chopping squid. But, then, Robbie broke some plates so he had to stay but I left because I didn't break any plates, only Robbie did. That day was a painful experience that I do not want to relive, so I hope you have some money to cover the Zipper Car fare."

Andre said, "Well, I may have been working just as hard as you on the tour, but I keep all of my money in the bank, and I don't just carry spare cash in my wallet." The voice in the Zipper car, who must have listened to the conversation said, "we are also accept debit, credit cards as well as the payments via the Zippo app."

Andre then attempted to pull out his new PearPhone and open the Zippo app to pay for the ride. He put it against the reader in the car, and it worked.

"Thanks for the help. Now that seemed unnecessary," said Andre. "Yeah, all of that tension over nothing", Tori followed up with. "Well, at least we're here. I'm a bit nerve-cited." Andre asked, "Nerve-cited? What does that mean? Tori said, "it's a mix between nervous and excited." They both get out of the car and take their luggage out of the trunk.

[The car then drives away on its own while Tori and Andre face the Vega house for the first time in at least 5 years. They walk up the long path up the driveway to the front door of the house. This is the same doorway that Jade stood in front of while counting to ten and eventually breaking up with Beck. But this breakup did not last long, as they both hooked back up after the Full Moon Jam, where Jade's performance of her song "You Don't Know Me" sealed the deal for them to get back together.]

Tori and Andre eventually make it up to the front door but don't see Tori's parents' cars in the driveway. "I wonder where Mom and Dad are right now", says Tori. "I know Dad works long shifts on the police force, but why would Mom be gone?" Andre says, "I don't know either. Maybe she's out getting that special cocoa that just tastes more delicious than any other cocoas."

Tori laughs at Andre's remark about the cocoa, saying "you still like my mom's special cocoa, do you? After all these years, you still remember what it tastes like and how it can outbeat any other cocoas?

Andre, in response to that, says, "you still don't find that surprising? Tori, we may have been thousands of miles away from Los Angeles and Hollywood Arts, but still there are many things from home and our early years of life that never escapes me."

Tori smiles and laughs at Andre's comment, because she also knows that is the same for her. "I feel the same way, too, Andre. That's why I really wanted to come back home, because I missed all of these great things: my old friends, the beauty and bustle of LA as well as my family. We have stayed out of contact for nearly 5 years. I was too busy with the tour and my music career to stay in contact with any of them, but now is our opportunity to make up for lost time and patch things up again."

[Every time Andre thinks about family, he realizes there is not much family left to go back to. The only family that others have known and seen are his crazy grandmother, crazy cousin, sister and father, however Andre himself knows there is more to his family than just her. Yet Andre's family story is more complex than what appears at the surface. Yet, he is reluctant to tell his friends, including Tori, the entire story because he is afraid that their perceptions of him may change for the worst.]

Regardless, Andre tried to come up with something say. "At least you've got us. Now let's go inside and see how much has changed." He proceeds to knock on the door, but no one seems to answer. Tori then takes a turn and knocks louder than Andre. Still no response. She tries the doorbell, still nothing. Tori then finds a rock on the ground and throws it at the window next to the door. That seems to stir some action as Tori and Andre now hear footsteps walking towards the door. It's Trina, who opens the door and asks what is going on.

"I was just in the middle of my karate fighting practice when I heard a loud bang at the window. Why'd you…"Tori? Andre? What are you doing back here?" The three of them hug it out as they squeal in excitement. "Well, now don't just stand there waiting for the bugs to infest this house. Come on in!"

[As Tori and Andre step inside, not much has changed from when they left. The couch is still in one piece, the table where they all played cards is still there, and not much in terms of the furniture or the aesthetic design of the living room has changed. It's still the same living room that Tori and Andre remembered.

However, there seemed to be something eerie about it. Unaware of who else was present in that living room, Tori slowly caught a glimpse of Toby, Tom and Caitlin in her eye. Using her peripheral vision, she guided her body slowly toward them. Nervously anticipating their next word or move, she turned around and approached them, curious as to who they were and what they were doing in her own house.]

Tom, Caitlin and Toby wave to Tori and say hello to her, while Tori has freaked the freak out. She suddenly asks them, "who are you and what are you doing in my house? Tori then proceeds to pick up a lamp, ready to strike if necessary. Tom says to her, "Just calm down, Tori. Put the lamp down. No need to be aggressive and violent." Tori asks again, "who are you" and Tom replies, "I'm your distant second cousin, Tom. That's my wife, Caitlin and our son, Toby. You may not remember me, but I was there when your mom gave birth to you and Trina over 20 years ago." Tori, obviously too young to remember her birth, still takes an aggressive stance toward them. "I don't believe you", she says. "How do I know you're all just some imposters off the street just wanting to eat our food and steal our stuff?" Toby says, "just trust us. We're your family. You just haven't met us yet because you were just a baby." Tori proceeds to hit Tom, Caitlin and Toby with the lamp just as Trina comes from behind her to grab the lamp from her hands.

"Tori, what are you doing?" Trina was puzzled and surprised about what her sister was about to do. Tori tells Trina, "They were claiming to be our family when they just could be thugs and burglars! I needed to strike when I had the chance." Trina began to tell Tori the real story. "OK, sis, I know sometimes you can be irrational, but you gotta listen to me. Tom, Caitlin, Toby are our family. Tom is our distant second cousin. You see, they have been here for about two days and I've gotten the opportunity to talk to them and get to know them better."

Tori calmed down, but still was wondering how Trina wasn't as suspicious of their supposed new family. "I know it sounds strange at first, but once you get to know them, you'll realize they truly are Vega's." Tori asked, "how did they get here in the first place?" Trina explained, "well, two days ago they just showed up here at our doorstep. They said they needed to drop off their son, Toby and then get out of town as quickly as they can. I was curious to know more, so I invited them to come in so that we could talk about our family history. We talked and talked for hours while Tom told me stories about how you and I share the same aunt and uncle on Mom's side. He told me he was there when you and I were born, and how they quickly had to race to the hospital just to witness the delivery on time!"

Tori started to believe Trina, but just to be sure Tom was his true cousin, she asked, "Really? Tom, if you were my cousin, why don't you share a story about me?"

Tom attempts to come up with a story about Tori's birth. "I was on my way to the hospital trying to get to you. Trina and your Dad were already there for at least four hours. The car was running out of gas and we needed to pull off to the nearest station, but there wasn't one for the next 20 miles! We eventually had to call a tow truck, but some weird chick driving this truck offered to tow my car herself! Turns out that chick happened to be my future wife."

Caitlin then chimed in with her side of the story. "Yeah, it was almost midnight and there was this guy that needed help. Luckily, I used to be in the towing business and had my old tow truck with me. At first, your cousin seemed awkward, but, you know, in these tense situations you can get to know someone really quickly." Tom chimed in with, "Yes, it was pouring rain and I needed to get to the hospital quickly so good thing for Caitlin's resourcefulness to tow me to the nearest gas station! Thought all I needed to do was fill up, but it turned out that my car had more serious trouble. Thankfully, Caitlin had a lot of mechanic skills so…". At this point, Tori was getting tired of listening to the inner details of the story and said, "OK, Tom, or whoever you are, we don't need to hear your blabber about how your car broke down and your future wife saved you. Let's just get to the part where you get to the hospital and witness my birth!"

Tom refocused on the story and said, "anyway, there was a problem with the actuator but Caitlin fixed the car just in time! Off I went to the hospital and got to your mom's room just before she went into labor. She sounded very in pain. You could hear her moans from the other side of the hallway! But we were there when your Dad gave the final "push" command and you came out of the womb, in the flesh. You still have those same cheekbones to this day that you did that night. We watched you grow over the next 18 months to 3 years and you even started singing before you turned 2 years old!"

Tori perked up after hearing this. She then asked, "What songs?" Tom said, "It was interesting because normally one would expect babies to only know the ABCs or Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, but you were making up your own stuff on the spot. Yes, I remember just like it was yesterday." Tom begins to recreate the first song Tori sung when she was only about 18 months old: "Star by light, do my right. Life goes by, make me shine!" Of course, as a baby, it wasn't as clear nor were the notes perfectly in tune, but Tori still had the energy and passion to become a big star right from an early age. Yet, still, after hearing Tom recite those words in such clarity. Tori is now convinced that Tom is one of her family.

"Oh my god, I can't believe you remembered that, after all these years! No one else but my family would actually recall those were the first words I ever sang!", Tori told her cousin. Tom said, "Oh yeah, we ALL knew from a very early age that you were destined for stardom and would make us proud one day. And here you are now. Hard to believe, isn't it?"

"Indeed it is", remarks Tori. Trina and Andre at this time have been sitting patiently waiting for some action while Tori and her cousin Tom discuss his placement within the family. At this same time, a big, banging knock comes at the door. Trina says she'll get it and opens the door. It's Beck and Jade.

"Well, what a surprise! Didn't expect to see you two here!" Tori and Andre turn towards the door and are just as surprised as Trina. "What are you two doing here?", asks Tori. She and Andre have not seen both Beck or Jade in about 5 years. Tori, however, comes over to give them both a big hug. Beck accepts her embrace where Jade pushes her away and says, "I'm still not really your friend, get off me!" Tori steps back from the embrace.

Andre asks again, "what are you two doing back in LA?" Beck says, "Well, we all got the same call from Cat about her Nona's death and wanted to come back and help plan her funeral." Tori says, "Oh, yeah, I got a call from Cat while I was out on tour. I finished up my last set, where Andre and I performed Make It Shine for the first time in a long time."

Trina, Beck and jade are surprised at this news, because they hadn't heard her sing or even mention the song since they left LA and Hollywood Arts 5 years ago. This prompts Jade to ask, in a stern and somewhat intimidating tone, "why so long? My, my, have you already forgotten about our time at Hollywood Arts?" Tori comes back with, "well, at the time, I wanted to move on to bigger things in life, like become a big pop star. I did, and so my high school life eventually took a back seat over the years. But, somehow, Hollywood Arts and home life in LA did make a comeback into my conscious mind, and so I decided to share my passion for it with my thousands of fans. Is that so wrong?"

[Jade, as well as Beck and the others, admired Tori for her standing up for what she believes in. Although Jade was still displaying a brunt, cold shell of a personality on the outside, she was indeed proud of what Tori had accomplished, as well as all her other friends at Hollywood Arts who went off and made big names of themselves. She was impressed how even Cat, who had a ditzy personality and seemed like she wouldn't go far, made the biggest jump of all to reach platinum music superstardom.]

Jade glanced at Tori and then said, "OK, wow. Thanks for giving me that heartfelt speech, but deep down I don't think you actually mean that. I mean, look what happened the week before graduation. I wouldn't even blame you if you if you don't even remember what happened all those years ago. I'll remind you. That big fight that you had with Cat, just 5 days before graduation? How you said that you're going to be the bigger star and Cat wouldn't amount to much of anything? Inside, Tories memories of that big fight started to come back to her, and really the guilt that she was trying to hide all these years came back to haunt her now. But, she felt so mad that she had to blame it all on someone else. "And to think that you're not any better, Jade?" Jade took this remark snarkily, thinking back to when Tori first arrived at school and faced off with her during Sikowitz's alphabetical improv exercise. After All, Tori kissed Beck on that first day, so that was another reason for Jade's rage to build up. "Remember how I said zero is what you are on a scale from one to ten?" Tori said, "Oh, yeah I remember that. But we were just acting, weren't we? You didn't actually mean all of that, did you?" Jade comes back with, "No I really meant all that stuff. But over time we began to grow closer to each other and begin to develop a good mutual relationship. Even though I never called you a friend, you are still a good person and I enjoyed your company while we were in school. We even sang that song, Take a Hint when Sikowitz forced us into that date at Nozu and some creepy guys were hitting on us."

Tori remembered all of this and told Jade, "oh, yeah. That was girl power to the max! Even though we hated Sikowitz at first for forcing us to go on this date in the first place, it was fun and we became better friends because of that experience." At this particular moment, Tori comes up with an amazing idea. She tells everybody in the room, "hey, you know what I'd love to do right now?" Everyone else asks, "what?" or "what's that, Tori?" in which she replies, "since we haven't sung a big song together in years, why don't we sing one now?"

Beck, who hasn't spoken in a while, says, "Tori, it's been years. I'm sure none of us actually remember any of the songs we sang at Hollywood Arts. Besides, it was you and Andre who got the most solos and we didn't really sing any big numbers together, just the catchy number that I think was called Shut Up N Dance that we did with your weird neighbor on April Fools Day." Trina, Jade and even Andre agree with Robbie as they vocally indicate so. "I mean, we don't have to sing any of our old songs. I have a better idea: let's make one up, right here, right now, just for the occasion of us coming back together." Jade says, "oh, come on, Tori. You really expect us to just improvise a song, together, tonight, right on the spot?" Tori says, "well, if there's one thing I learned from Sikowitz's classes, it's that he always teaches us to think outside the box, get out of our comfort zones, and actually be the best performers we can be! That's why we did a lot of improv exercises in his classes, including the alphabetical improve that we were so good at. Right, Jade?"

After hearing what Tori said, Jade gave the idea a second thought while not saying anything to anyone else. In the meantime, Tori told Andre to go to the piano in the living room and start playing some notes and chords to lead them off. Everyone in the room, including Tom, Caitlin and Toby, ultimately joined in what started out as an awkward musical moment, which then turned into a spectacular improvisational collaboration by the end of it. The song lasted for about 3 minutes and 15 seconds. By the time Andre hit the last chord of the song, everyone in the room was laughing so hard that they forgot what the camaraderie was like back in high school and how much fun everyone had playing off each other. The most surprising moment of all was when Tom started to sing. Everyone, including his cousins Tori and Trina, were surprised at Tom's amazing vocal talent. Even though no one in the family really knew where he came from and he was depicted as a family outcast, Tom's singing abilities really proved to Tori and Trina as well as their friends how much Tom really cared about the Vega family and how proud he was of the talent and stardom associated with the family name.

It turned out that while singing the song, someone was live streaming the entire thing on her phone and their song was being broadcast live on The Slap. That someone happened to be Trina. This live broadcast ultimately caught the attention of Sam and Cat in their apartment. Carly, Freddie, Spencer and Gibby also noticed and were interested in the song as well. "You see, everyone? That's the amazing vocal talent of my old friends at Hollywood Arts! I'm so proud of them and miss them all so much." Cat began singing along with the live Slap feed, which eventually caused Sam, Carly and Gibby to join in as well. Gibby, especially known for his singing talent, showed some major pipes along with Carly, Sam and Cat, while Freddie and Spencer were not known as much for their vocal abilities. They tried to sing along with some splendor in their voices but ultimately fell flat, but they didn't care because they still had a good time. Together, the entire experience between the Vega House and Apartment 22 with both the iCarly and Victorious casts in perfect harmony together provided an uplifting serenading moment that rang across the entire city of Los Angeles during this amazing time of pride, joy, reunion and togetherness that not a single one of them had experienced in several years.

All this time, Stephanie is still hiding because Sam and Cat never did seek. She doesn't even know her father Spencer and aunt Carly are just feet from where she's hiding.
