The chapter after this will have a few mature concepts.

The next day...

Narrator:

Today was the day, Ron thought. That day was when Ron would finally reveal to Hermione that he had gotten her a job as an editor. He'd imagined the moment 1500 times now, thinking up the most ridiculous ways that it would end. Maybe Hermione grew out of her writing phase. It was possible that Hermione would find the job offensive somehow. Or, worst of all, maybe Hermione still hadn't forgiven him for what had happened the previous day.

Ron's Excerpt:

I spent about 30 minutes searching for Hermione that day. Finally, I managed to spot her in a group of several girls sitting at a table. Everybody else was staring at her but I wasn't really sure why at the moment.

"Hermione? Hey...umm-" I was stopped midway when I noticed Hermione had a dress on. This was really odd, considering that she wasn't the type of person to wear a dress. However, I just couldn't help noticing how beautiful she looked. Her hair was also re-curled and she was wearing makeup. Her shiny hair was bouncy and silky. Her makeup just made her even more beautiful, which was crazy since she was already so pretty.

She turned around and smiled at me brightly. I immediately began to blush for no particular reason. Finally, I worked up the courage to continue giving her the gift. I began to speak nervously as I wasn't quite sure what she would think about it.

After I explained to her what I had gotten, her eyes widened with excitement. She must like it, I thought. To my surprise, her loving look was cut off by her gently declining the gift. She then turned to a group of girls, all who were popular wizards, to have me walked away. When I turned around to look at her, she was giggling about something with her new "friends". She then turned towards me and gave me a look as though she was pleading for help.

I was in tears when I ran back up to my dorm. I jumped onto my bed as I took my pillow to my face and cried. I realized that she really didn't forgive me for what happened the previous day. In fact, she hated me and clearly stopped being friends with me.

Hermione's Excerpt:

I was walking along in my new clothes because I thought this would help me blend in more. I didn't want to stand out to Professor Snape, since he probably did what he did due to me standing out. As I was walking along, I noticed many people looking at me and whispering. Had everyone hated my new outfit?

Suddenly, a group of girls came up to me. They were gorgeous but, as soon as they began speaking, I could tell that they weren't too intelligent. I pretended to be the same so I could blend in. It was then when they became friends with me and pulled me away to a table. We were all sitting there when Ron walked up to me. I began to smile just out of reaction when he started talking.

He stopped midway in his sentence and just stared at me for a good 2 minutes. Suddenly, his face turned red. Then, he presented to me a surprise. He had gotten me approved to be an editor! Just as I was about to get up and hug him, I noticed that the other girls were eyeing him weirdly.

As much as I loved his gift and, well, loved him, I had to decline it. It hurt me deeply when his face looked disappointed. I just couldn't watch him anymore so I had some of the girls walk him out of the room. I knew that what I did was pretty juvenile but, if I didn't want to attract Snape's attention, I had to be this way.

Oh, how I wished to run after him and just hug him! What if he had begun hating me? This was all my fault!

Narrator:

The next day, Ron woke up with his hair a mess and his clothes completely wrinkled. He wanted to go and see Hermione but didn't want to see her hate him again. Finally, he threw on some clothes and left the dorm room. He went to eat breakfast when he noticed Hermione sitting with the other girls. He quickly sat down next to Harry.

"Oh hey Ron! Where have you be- Ron? Are you okay?!"

Ron was almost in tears and his under eyes were swollen from crying. Obviously, he didn't feel like talking about what happened.

"Ron, you either tell me or I use a spell."

Finally, Ron opened his mouth but, before he could get a word out, he just began to cry. The entire room turned to face him and Hermione looked away quickly. Hermione's friends began to comment on how he was a "crybaby" and a "nerd".

"Stop it!", Hermione yelled, "That's so rude! He's a nice guy and you don't even know him!"

"Then why did you reject him so harshly yesterday?", one of the girls snarkily asked.

Hermione realized that the girl was right. Suddenly, she pushed back her chair, took her food by her hands, and stood up. The entire room was now staring at her. This beautiful girl in a dress and heels was walking over to sit with the crybaby. As she reached Ron, she grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the room.

In a couple of minutes, the dining room was back to many random conversations.

Hermione continued to pull Ron when she finally stopped.

"Hermione- I- I'm really s-", Ron was interrupted but Hermione pulling him into a kiss. He was confused but didn't let go. The clouds had parted and stars began to shine brightly upon the two. It really was a beautiful day...

The next day...

Harry's Excerpt:

I woke up with a goal in mind. I would finally tell Ron my secret. I quickly went to grab some nice clothes, preferably a basic suit. After not finding a suit, I decided to wear some nice pants and a t-shirt. I then went and combed my hair properly, for the first time in ages.

I then went and put on some contacts. Yes, this was the first time I used contacts in my entire life. They irritated my eyes slightly but I didn't care.

I grabbed my books and headed straight for Ron's locker. While waiting, I practiced what I was going to say.

I wasn't quite sure how Ron would take to the news. Would I just directly tell him? Would he speak first and I would have to change the topic? Will he accept it? The worst case scenario was if he began to hate me for it.

I knew that what I was about to tell him could have drive a hole through our friendship.

It was right about then when I saw Ron coming for the locker.

"Hey Harry! What are you doing here?", he asked.

"I've just been waiting for you... hey, listen, I have to tell you something. I understand if you won't accept it and it might ruin our friendship. Are you sure about hearing it?", I cautiously asked.

"Hit me, I'll take anything.", Ron responded.

That's when I told him the news...
