Serana made her way across the room to him she stood behind him and peered over his shoulder to the scroll in his hands. He moved to his right a little to give her a better look at it. The scroll showed a quill drawn picture of a werewolf and a vampire. They seemed to be in the heat of battle. In the corner of the page read the words, "summon Daedra"

Stefan place the scroll on the table and raised his hands.

"What are you doing?" asked Serana.

"I'm going to cast the 'summon Daedra' spell," replied Stefan.

"Just...be careful," said Serana. She took his arm and grasped it firmly.

He raised his hands, pointed them at the scroll and cast the spell. The scroll came to life, depicting the battle between these arch enemies. As they were fighting, a full moved into the picture. It illuminated a pure bright light, filling the entire room. Suddenly, Stefan and Serana were engulfed in the white light. The thrown off balance and tipped unceremoniously into the drawing.

They fell down almost free falling without stopping. Suddenly they landed gently in a room with a long stone table, handcuffs attached to the wall and a wooden slatted vertical table. It was chained and bloodstained. There was a small window on the back wall, and the full moon could be seen shining through. They heard voices and shouting, it sounded like there was a massive fight going on.

They darted from the room towards the source of the noise. They entered a large hall to find Lucinda, Valeria, himself, Serana and Lilith fighting several people. A small window was cut into the stone near the ceiling. The full moon emerged from a cloud, at once the people they were fighting transformed into werewolves. Lucinda, who was fighting Farkas, was thrown back as he transformed into a truly huge werewolf.

He was taller than everyone. Lucinda sprang up, preparing to fight him. She lunged at him. He blocked every single blow she made at him. In one movement he grabbed her. He lifted her off the ground, his hand around her neck. Visiting Stefan and Serana watched as their daughter was slowly choked by the werewolf. Stefan tried to intervene. He tried to grab the werewolf but his hand simply passed right through him. He watched as the werewolf bared its teeth and sunk them deep into Lucinda's neck. Stefan and Serana gasped.

Lucinda suddenly went limp in the hands of the werewolf. He released her and she fell to the floor in a heap. In the background, her companions were engaged in a heated battle to be able to help her.

"Lucinda!" called Stefan. As this was a memory, or a prediction, his voice was unheard. "Lucinda."

He rushed over to her. Her eyes flew open. They had changed from Vampire red to werewolf yellow. She began ripping her skin off to reveal thick black fur. Her body grew larger as she ripped her skin off. She stood up and gave a deafening roar. Her Vampire fangs stretched as she roared. Her mouth thick with drool and her claws bared. Serana gasped.

"Oh no," she gasped in horror.

Werewolf Lucinda grabbed Lilith, she tore her in half and advanced on her mother and father.

"Lucinda," pleaded Serana.

She ignored her mother, she advanced her on her as Serana backed away.

"Serana," called Stefan. He leapt aside, pushing Serana out of the way. Lucinda grabbed her father. She lifted him up, her hands around his neck.

Her roar bellowed as he looked into her huge yellow eyes. She dug her claws into his neck, breaking it and spurting blood from it. She threw him aside. He flew across the room and landed in a heap. Serana got up. Lucinda advanced on her. A silver arrow flew across the room and landed in her back. She turned to see her sister aiming her bow at her.

Lucinda roared and bounded towards her sister. She picked her up and dug her teeth into her neck, killing her instantly. She threw her aside as Serana fired lightning at her. Lucinda scratched her claws on the stone wall, creating sparks. The others transformed into werewolves and advanced on her slowly. Serana looked around for her companions but all of them had been slaughtered by Lucinda.

"Lucinda," she pleaded. "Please."

The werewolves advanced on her slowly. Farkas looked at Lucinda and gave her a look that plainly said, 'You first'.

"Get me out of here," said Serana pulling Stefan's arm.

He didn't need telling twice. He cast the banish Daedra spell. The scene around them dissolved and they were back in the disused classroom. The scroll, having now served its purpose fluttered to the floor bursting into flame. Serana looked up from Stefan's arm. She looked around to see the classroom around them.

Stefan was silent for a moment. Serana took a seat at the winged armchair and put her head in her hands.

"Stefan," she said. "Is that...at all possible?"

He shook his head.

"I don't know," he said.

"What we saw," she continued. "It hasn't happened yet, or will it happen, or is it just a prediction?"

"I'm not sure," said Stefan.

He was quiet. He usually had an answer for these things but this time, he was stumped.

"I think it's just a prediction," he said finally.

"But why Lucinda?" asked Serana. "How were they to know she would be born all those years ago?"

"I don't think it's specifically for her," he said. "The spell must have changed to reflect the recent occurrences. Clearly this event was predicted thousands of years ago, but the finer details were unclear."

Serana looked up at Stefan.

"We have to rescue her," she said simply.

"Tonight," he said at once. "Full moon is three days away. I'm not waiting to see if this prediction comes true. We are freeing Lucinda...tonight."
