Chapter 4
Echo smiled as she looked at her nest and sighed. "I have to tell him," she said to herself, but she didn't know how to start. "But how do I tell him?"
A gentle throat clearing made her jump before she saw it was Magna Charge and he smiled at her. "You okay, Echo?" He asked.
"For the most part, yes," she said with a nod.
He saw the nest and smiled. "You and Elliott are going to be parents?"
She nodded. "But, he doesn't know it yet."
The Ultron gave it some thought before smiling. "Are they going to hatch soon?"
"Today."
Magna Charge grinned. "Maybe you can bring Elliott here and he can witness his children hatching," he said. "Watching a child being born is amazing. I remember when Rachel and I built our son and then she created our daughter with a Creation Crystal. It was an amazing time."
Echo smiled, liking that idea. "Thanks, Magna," she said before going off to find Elliott.
Rachel dodged an ink attack from the Water/Dark Portal Master before she caught the attack in her telekinesis and turned it around to fly back at him. Smiling, he dodged before bringing out his sword and she did the same before the two swords clashed and the two stood there, taking a moment to catch their breaths. "Thanks for not going easy on me, Elliott," the Tech Portal Master said with a smile. "I think Ambush goes easy on me sometimes because he's my partner."
Elliott chuckled. "He's just a softie, but a good teacher, " he said.
"That he is," she said in agreement before spotting Echo coming towards them and she smiled. "Looks like your lady is coming."
Elliott looked up to see his girlfriend fly in and land beside him. "Hey, my handsome knight. There's something I need you to see," she said.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yes, something very important," Echo said, winking at Rachel, who caught on and smiled.
"You guys go ahead," she said. "I've got to find Crystal. She's lately been pulling pranks on Spellslamzer."
Echo giggled and led Elliott to where the nest was. He stopped in shock and looked at it. "A dragon's nest," he whispered softly.
She smiled. "Not just any dragon's nest," she said.
He noticed the three blue eggs and looked at her before putting two and two together. "Echo? Are these...?"
She nodded. "Yes," she said. "That morning after our date, I laid these eggs, but I wasn't sure how to tell you." She smiled. "They're going to hatch soon."
Elliott was in awe before he looked at her. "I'm going to be a father? For real?" He asked.
"For real, my handsome knight," she said with a nod.
Just then, they head a tapping sound and one of the eggs began cracking. As they watched, a small blue dragon broke free of the egg and lay still for a moment before opening its eyes. Echo gasped softly. "It's a girl," she said. "She's got your eyes, Elliott."
He looked awed before reaching forward and gently petting the dragon's head. The dragon squeaked and nuzzled his hand before crawling a bit unsteadily towards him, but getting stronger with every step. He smiled as he saw her small wings and blue color. "She's beautiful," he said.
"What should her name be?" Echo asked.
Elliott thought for a moment before smiling. "Harmony Rhythm," he said, noticing his daughter perked up at hearing her new name.
"It's perfect of her," the water dragon said before the second egg began cracking and hatched, a small dragon that looked just like its sister. "Another girl," Echo said before smiling. "Symphony Songs."
"Perfect," Elliott said and smiled at seeing the third egg hatch and Echo gasped once again when the baby hatched free.
"It's a boy," she said softly.
The Water/Dark Portal Master felt tears sting his eyes a little. "I'm the father of triplets," he said before seeing his son walk over to him and help his older sister too. He noted all three had brown eyes just like him. "Oh, Echo. They're amazing."
She smiled. "And they're our children," she said. "We're parents."
The male dragon chirped softly and Elliott smiled again. "Note Strings?" He asked.
"Note Strings," the water dragon said in agreement, noting her children all had wings. "They have wings too."
A gentle throat clearing made them look up to see Master Eon, who smiled at them. "Congratulations," he said.
"Thank you, Master Eon," Elliott said, seeing his children perk up at seeing the guardian of Skylands.
The old man smiled. "Elliott. Echo, I wish to bless your children," he said. "Is that alright?"
"Yes, Master Eon," Echo said and the Water/Dark Portal Master nodded.
Master Eon raised his hand and a blue glow surrounded the baby dragons, who looked curious. The glow soon died down and he smiled. "Three fine little dragons," he said. "Spyro is going to do loop-de-loops when he hears of your little ones."
"I think everyone will," Elliott said with a chuckle.
Echo giggled. "Your other partners already know about them, as do Rachel, Crystal, and Ambush," she said. "Also, Coco asked if she could babysit the kids too."
He chuckled. "She's good with kids," he said.
Rachel came up to them and smiled at seeing the little dragons. "They are so cute," she said, standing by Echo. "Congratulations, you two."
"Thank you," Echo said, looking proudly at her little ones.
Crystal and Ambush came up and the little girl was excited about the babies. "I've never seen a baby dragon before," she said.
Elliott smiled and motioned the sisters and Ambush closer, to which they did so and sat down. The babies, seeing the three, grew curious and crawled over to them. "Guys, meet our two daughters and son," he said. "Harmony Rhythm, Symphony Songs, and Note Strings."
"Those are wonderful names for them," Rachel said as Harmony cuddled into her lap.
Crystal giggled as Note Strings nuzzled her. "That tickles!" She giggled out.
Ambush chuckled as he held Symphony Songs, noting her eyes and her siblings' eyes. "They have your eyes, Elliott," he said.
"That they do," Echo said proudly.
Elliott smiled before looking at his girlfriend and kissing her, making her giggle. "Thank you, Echo," he said.
"For what?" She asked.
"For everything," he said, kissing her again.
They now were parents to three adorable children and to the Water/Dark Portal Master, life didn't get any better than that.
And that concludes "Magic And Love Of A Family". :)
