"You can't run forever Anju! Such a foolish woman! You think that any other world will accept you than a world of your kind! We're killing machines shaped in the image of our creator! We fight for him as we're his to dispose of! His army; sure we may have branches but all in all we are nothing more than the creator's tools! You have no choice but to fight and kill; to be shaped as a murder... no one will accept such a god-forsaken creation! Anju! Do know that escaping with the help of that Soul-Reaper his world won't accept you and this is an act of betrayal- you will never be able to return! That Soul Reaper will forever be a personal target of your Fracción, you are nothing but a coward! I hope his screams ring in your head as we slowly rip his guts out! He will be strung outside our base of operations!- . . . Anju, this is now a war between you and every last Arrancar and Hollow!"
Anju ran as far and as fast as she could through the plains of Hueco Mundo, the voice ringing in her head as every last word she remembered every last detail down to the tiny drops of spit that shot from his lips as he yelled. Her eyes began to water, as she came to realize his words might be true, she was made from an image of annihilation... that much she could not lie to herself.
"Who will accept such a despicable creation!? No one but us! From this moment on Anju, if we ever pick up your trace, of where you may be, whether it be this world or wherever else, you shall die! Our creator may forgive you but the rest of us- ohoho... we will tear you apart and string you with your supposed, "Soul-Reaper Friend," you traitorous - BITCH!"
Anju winced at the last sentence that one of the Espada had told her. Several other Espada had accompanied him in chasing after her and threatening her if she hadn't turned back. However, she was quicker than the rest of them and managed to slip by without engaging any conflict with them. Exhausted from chasing the woman and pissed at her actions, they told Anju their final thoughts. Anju now a run-away from her position as Espada #4, and probably soon to be the most-wanted target for the Arrancar Army.
She felt lost . . . alone, she could only describe it as heart-break, however, her kind, they aren't supposed to feel these emotions. So why is she? Could it be that she lost her touch when she found that Soul Reaper? Damned man, she needed to make sure he was safe, no matter the cost- she had to look forward and ignore the calls of her soon to be old comrades. They were right, this was war.
"Hey... Anju- you should go on ahead, I can open a portal to the human-world or you can use your Garganta, but I will let them think you ran off to the Menos Forest... as I distract them." The Soul Reaper looked at Anju's green eyes, his eyes plea that she listen to him.
"Veigas... you can't - come with me!... - I can't do this alone!. . ." Anju hugged him tight, begging. "Please... please . . . do...n't make me do this alone . . ."
She didn't understand why his voice was so calm, did he not care to leave her? Did he want to die?! She just couldn't let him leave with such ease. He was an idiot if he thought she would leave him like this!
Veigas sighed, "Listen Anju, I will escape to the Soul-Society I won't let them find you, here this necklace will hide the immense pressure of your Reiatsu and lower the amount of Reiryoku in you; basically any sign of you being an Arrancar, and whenever you need to hide your form from the humans, wear this ring. I created these devices for you, knowing you'd need them to blend in amongst the humans." Veigas began to explain further detail about his plan. "If I die, an urgent message will be sent to you through this device and as well as to the Soul Society's Head-Captain. They will know to come and find you and if they have any question or doubt in your faith show them this badge."
Anju shook her head furiously, wiping her tears from her eyes. "I- I . . . - NO! I won't go! Not like this, Veigas." She glared at the man, "I refuse to let you stay here alone and potentially die, come with me!
Veigas had taken a step closer to the young Arrancar woman, as he reached out for her left hand, sliding the ring on her ring finger and he brushed her hair back with his right hand combing her cheek as he clipped the necklace around her neck. The Arrancar hollow hole below her chest, where her belly button would be begun to slowly close, her mask slowly dissolved. Her Reiryoku had become incredibly small, that it essentially disappeared- surely the other Arrancars would take notice.
"Veigas . . ." Anju began to choke on her tears. She wanted to say so much to him but she couldn't find the words.
Veigas slightly smiled as he leaned into her left ear and whispered, " . . . No matter what anyone says, I believe you have the choice to do good or bad. Don't let them define who you are Anju Amoré" With that said the man had pushed the woman into a Senkaimon; essential a portal to the human world. With a beautiful oriental design with white fabric and sleek brown wood creating small 8x8 design, which then revealed a circular gate that opened with a 3.5x3.5 design similar to the gate before it.
Her last image was his soft brown eyes staring back at her lightly amethyst colored eyes, as he smiled and waved goodbye.
Just like that everything she wanted to say came rushing out, "VEIGAS! NO- NO NO NO! Not like this! . . ." As she reached her hand out for him the gates on the Senkaimon had closed before her.
There was a bright light that the gate flashed before ultimately disappearing just as fast as it had appeared. She fell to her knees surrounded by darkness.
"Please . . ." Anju cried in her hands, her long black hair covered her face, as she wailed. "Veigas- Why? You . . ." She clenched her fist as now she began to scream and punch the black squishy surface below her, "Y-YOU IDIOT! YOU'LL BE KILLED!" As her tears fell and she kept punching the ground, her screams began to weaken. "DUMB ASS BUFFOON! I . . . hate you- I just- how am I, - I - I don't know how I feel anymore!"
She felt betrayed, but yet somehow she knew he had her back and did what he felt was right, so she couldn't be too mad at the man, he was only trying to protect her. However, she wanted to protect him as well!
She began to stumble as she weakly stood up, the light as the end of the dark hall made her lilac strand of hair in her bangs, glisten.
"Veigas... you are a fool . . . but - thank you." She sniffled as she began to walk to the end of the Senkaimon.
She could tell that he had specifically designed this Senkaimon in private, even though his inventions stripped her of her power, she could faintly sense that he made this Senkaimon behind the Soul Society's back. Which meant that this bastard was planning this all along. Upon reaching the end and the traditional gates similar to a Shōji, they began to open once more. The light blinding her as she aimlessly walked into the light leaving behind her a cast of her shadow.
"Is this . . . feeling- the world of the liv...ing?" Anju whispered as it felt like she was falling. Her body felt weak as if she had physically overexerted herself. "Veigas?" She mumbled, as her eyes shut.
When she first stepped into the new world a huge spiritual burst spread across the world. Surely it'd show up on any spiritual monitors but only as a quick burst of energy for a few mere seconds. What would come of her, how would she survive in this world that was new to her, would she have a place in it? Or would the Arrancars be right about her being a god-forsaken monster that would be rejected out of fear?
