Love you all please enjoy and review!

Helping set up camp I sit beside Bombour and assist, or that's what I tell myself, in making dinner by peeling and cutting the vegetables. Knowing me however I was probably taking longer than needed and poor Bombour was just being kind and not saying anything. Feeling someone ruffle my hair I look up and see Bofur's cheeky grin as he walks around and sits beside me, playfully huffing I try to sort my hair out by running my fingers through the top bit of my braid but I'm afraid I have just made it ten times worse. Glaring at Bofur I pull the leather tie out of my hair, running my fingers through the blonde tangles and waves I shake my head at Bofur as he goes misty eyed.

"You, Master Bofur, owe me a new braid that one was going to at least last me a few more days!" I teasingly jab him in the ribs as he and Bombour chuckle.

"Well lass you should find ye' self a strappin' young lad to braid it for ye'" He wiggles his eyebrows suggestively, laughing I roll my eyes at him.

"Oh yes I can see a long line of suitors just waiting to braid my lovely greasy hair." I flick said hair over my shoulder dramatically, combing my fingers through it I grimace it really needs a wash.

"Ahh well if you scrub up I'm sure you will at least get one suitor?" Nori chuckled as I threw a small stone in his general direction.

"You lads are really making my ego swell here." I pout at them while quickly braiding my hair in a fishtail style, so glad I had watched those youtube videos before I had landed in this strange place, tying the end with the leather tie I flick my braid back over my shoulder. Seeing Bofur's hand reaching out to ruffle my hair again I speedily slap it away causing a few bouts of laughter from the other dwarves who were watching our antics. "Plus even if I did have suitors I'm guessing they would have to go through all you lot before they could even begin to think to speak to me." I grin up at Bifur as he nods his head so rapidly that I worried he would crick his neck.

"You are right lassie." Dwalin smirked down at me as he walked around the camp fire and sat on the log across from me.

"Should I just become an old spinster now?" I giggle as the other dwarves nod and shrug at me with guilty smiles. Bilbo comes and sits between me and Bofur as the night draws on; I can see more frown lines than usual on his forehead. Nudging him softly with my elbow I must have woken him out of a trance as he starts a little before sheepishly smiling at me, chuckling I loop my arm through his.

"Want to tell me what is making those frown lines?" I ask, shaking his head a slight blush spreads across his cheeks.

"Just … shouldn't Gandalf be back now?" He murmurs to me so the other dwarves couldn't hear him.

"Well I suppose but he will not just abandon us he's just angry that his council was ignored is all." I smile reassuringly at him and squeeze his arm softly.

"But he's been a long time." His brown eyes show his worry. Frowning slightly I go to speak but I am interrupted by Bofur –

"Who?" Smiling up at the cheery Dwarf I reply for the shy Hobbit:

"Gandalf." I accept a bowl full of stew and spoon off Bofur as Bilbo stands up.

"He's a wizard! He does as he chooses." He turns to Bilbo with two bowls of stew: "Here, do us a favour: take this to the lads." Bilbo glances at me, seeing my friendly smile and nod he agrees, taking the two bowls he walks off into the trees towards where Fili and Kili were pony watching.

"He thinks a lot of you lass." Turning back round I see Dori and Ori had taken Bilbo's seat. Smiling at them both I shrug.

"He's a good soul and a dear friend." I scoop up a spoonful of soup and as I try to swallow it Dori attempts to kill me:

"Ah but my dear is he courting material?" Choking I slam my hand onto my chest to try and make the stew go down easier, wheezing I quickly swallow down some water from my water skin.

"Dori are you trying to kill me?" I wheeze out at him, seeing the twitch of his moustache I glare slightly him. Laughing he softly patted my back as his brother shook his head in embarrassment, now I understand where Nori gets his mischievous attitude from.

"Sorry Marcy, I saw an opportunity I had to take it." His grin made me giggle slightly.

"Yeah? Next time try not to kill me! And me and Bilbo are only friends and will only be friends." I jab his arm gently in slight revenge for my sore throat.

"We understand that my dear, perhaps a different suitor?" Tilting my head in confusion, what suitors?

"I don't have any suitors Dori, unless you want to tell me something?" I cheekily grin at the Dwarf who shoves me away slightly with a chuckle.

"THORIN TROLLS!" Fili and Kili come darting out of the trees shouting at Thorin. Confused I look up at Dwalin who came to stand by me, Dori and Ori clutching his axes.

"What?!" Thorin booms out as he stands, his commanding presence made the entire camp go quiet.

"Trolls have got Bilbo and the ponies!" Kili gasps out, as soon as the words leave his lips I am on my feet and check that my sword is securely sheathed on my hip.

"Where do ye think ye are going lass?" Dwalin asks as he glares down at me, matching his glare with my own I point at the trees.

"Bilbo is my friend, if you think I am going to let some poxy trolls stand in the way you've got another thing coming!" I stubbornly cross my arms. Seeing his glare turn into a smirk he patted my shoulder as we all start to creep into the trees.

"Glad to see ye aren't a wimp." He chuckled, shaking my head at his antics I follow behind him, trust dwarves to make a joke out of this situation!

Creeping after Dwalin I try not to stumble over a few tree roots and branches, but me being me I nearly end up landing on my face. Falling I hold in a squeal until two strong hands catch my shoulders and yank me up quickly being pulled into a chest, gasping slightly at the pulling feeling in my stomach I glance up and see dark brown eyes sparking down at me. Blushing i try to get my feet underneath me instead of far behind, flicking my legs around I manage it while probably looking like a fish.

"Watch where you step damsel." His husky voice whispered across my cheeks as he gives me a naughty grin, smiling gratefully I hold onto his shoulders and pull myself up accidently brushing up against him making the blush darken on my cheeks and reach down my throat. Glancing over his shoulder I see the rest of the dwarves getting further away, grabbing his hand I pull him with me as we rush after the others, looking at the floor I make sure I don't trip over and have another 'moment'.

Kili rushes past me and yanks me behind him as we reach the others, hiding behind some bushes I look up and hold a hand over my mouth to stop the gasp escaping: Bilbo was in one of the hands of what Kili called 'troll', it was the most ugliest thing I had ever seen with grey wart-like skin and squinting eyes with disgusting teeth. Trembling with worry for Bilbo I tighten my hold on Kili's hand, his concerned eyes looked down at me, he frowned for a moment before yanking me closer. Stumbling as quietly as I could I was pushed against Kili's chest: leaning closer I could feel his nose gently skim my ear sending butterflies rushing into my stomach making a blush emerge again.

"I don't suppose I can persuade you to go back to camp and stay safe?" He whispered, I nearly missed what he said as his thumb rubbed circles into my palm feeling that pulling sensation grow stronger I gasp quietly, gulping I shake my head. Standing on my tip toes till my lips brush his ear, I pretend not to feel his shudder – am I really that repulsive? – and whisper back "he's my friend too, I'll try help as much as I can!"

Leaning back those expressive brown eyes were focused on my own, giving my most stubborn glare his lips twitch in a smirk.

"Be careful Damsel!" Returning the smirk I amusedly shake my head. He leans down quickly and kisses the top of my hand, sharp tingles raced from that spot, as his eyes sparkle mischievously up at me before letting my hand go as he turns back to watching Bilbo. Embarrassed I glance around me and only see Balin giving me a little grin and cheeky wink, grinning I stick my tongue out at him. Leaping almost out of my skin as Kili leaps out from his hiding place into the trolls camp. Worried I look at Thorin for his command, he holds his hand up for us all to wait … er excuse me but Kili cannot take on three trolls all by himself!

A howl and a loud thump made my heart race in my chest, please please Kili tell me you haven't done something stupid! Panicking I feel Ori tap my hand and give me a concerned look, all I want to do is rush out after him to protect Kili; that pulling feeling with pushing and dragging me towards Kili out in the clearing. What on middle earth is this feeling? Panicking more I grab Ori's arm and almost could feel my heart thump out of my chest.

That was until I heard a deep husky shout that made my legs turn to jelly a little bit: "Drop Him!" Looking out from the bushes I see Kili standing aggressively with his sword drawn with a furious look on his face. Drawing my own sword I watch the camp fire twinkle against the steel, could I consciously hurt something? Gulping I look up and see Bilbo's terrified face – I'm going to have to! For Bilbo's sake.

"You what?" A booming voice echoed across the clearing, swallowing my nerves I tighten my grip around my sword handle.

"I said, drop him." Kili's voice growled out in reply.

Terror hit me as I saw Bilbo go flying towards Kili, quickly scampering out from my hiding place with the rest of the dwarves I rushed over towards Kili and Bilbo who were led on the floor. Pulling Bilbo up I give him a quick hug before checking him and Kili over for injuries as I hold my hand out for Kili. He held it softly as he pulled himself up, yanking me closer by said hand (he seems to be doing this a lot, I hope it doesn't become a habit of his) he gives me a roguish grin and quickly kisses me on the cheek sending sparks all around my body, gasping slightly I playfully slap his chest as I try to not let the blush unleash on my cheeks again while that sensation bubbled from the contact.

He quickly fled into the fight, quickly looking round I see Bilbo has gone over to the ponies and was sawing at the gate with what looked like a long claw which was basically the size of him, but he was having no luck. Sprinting over I quickly unsheathe my sword and with all my strength slice the rope holding the wooden gate together, shocked that I actually managed to do it I let Bilbo round up the ponies as I looked back over to the dwarves. Seeing Ori being chased by one of the humongous trolls I felt a red haze descend over me and a prickling sensation trickle across my arms and legs, before I knew what I was doing I dashed across the ground and leapt up off a rock and brought my sword down on the hand that was reaching out towards Ori. Feeling the sickening crackle of steel against rock hard stone I gritted my teeth, catching myself before I fell flat on my ass I see Dori grab Ori and pull him away from the troll, well that's all well and good but now I had a pissed off troll glaring at me and holding his hand which had a nasty red welt on it. Oopsie?

Quickly dodging the failing fists and other dwarf bodies I flee around the camp fire feeling every thump in the ground as the troll attempts to swat me like an irritating fly. Seeing a sudden huge body rush past me I glance back and see Dwalin smashing his war hammers into the trolls face as at the same time Dori hitting another one in the nutts … that has gotta hurt! Seeing Bombour nearly get grabbed I swing my sword straight into the trolls thumb; seeing droplets of grey stoney blood trickle down the appendage I try not to throw up, running back the way I came I suddenly see Bilbo hung up above all of us with two trolls holding him by his arms and legs.

Gasping I skidded to a halt beside Fili: "Bilbo!" I whisper and try to move towards the terrified Hobbit. Fili wrapped his arm around my hips and picked me up and held me back with Dwalin standing in front of me.

"Bilbo!" Kili's voice broke the silence, hearing a slight thump I am guessing someone grabbed him as well, clutching hold of Fili's arm I try to loosen the grip he has on me as my feet were not even scraping the ground. Damn these Dwarves for being taller than me!

"Lay down your arms, or we'll rip his off." Biting my lip, we all watch Thorin who tenses up, please oh please Thorin drop your sword! Thankfully after a few tense seconds he shoves his sword into the floor, relief filled me as I dropped my sword. Fili lowers me to the ground so I can finally stand on my two feet, pulling away I end up bumping into another chest and two hands clasp my hips stopping me from moving, glancing over my shoulder two smouldering chocolate eyes looking down at me worriedly while that pulling sensation increased tenfold when his fingers gripped my hips tighter and drew me closer to him.

"Kili what are you doing?" I gasp as the pulling sensation hit me like a brick, yanking me till my back was pressed against his firm chest, blushing I glance at the other Dwarves as they were each picked up and thrown into burlap bags. His hands quickly turned me so we were face to face.

"Shh Damsel." Glaring at him slightly I go to retort until a huge hand clasped around me and Kili together and picked us up, a scream caught in my throat as started to shake in fear. Let me tell you being shoved into a stinky burlap bag is not fun, it's even less fun when you are thrown onto the floor with quiet a heavy Dwarf on top of you, feeling the breath leave me when Kili's full weight hit me I wiggle around in pain. Seeing me struggle he quickly turned us until I was on top of him, resting my head on his shoulder as I try to catch my breath back.

"Thank you." I gasp into his shoulder; a slight chuckle escaped him as his hands moved around me so his arms are gently circling my waist. "When did you get so heavy?" I mutter into his shoulder as I peek up at him as other dwarves are either thrown down by us in sacks or tied to the spit above the camp fire.

"I am not heavy!" He playfully glared at me as Balin rolled over and hit his head with his feet, hiding a smile as Kili groaned slightly and moved his head so it was resting against Balin's legs.

"Kili you basically squashed me into the ground." I joke and turn my head so I was resting against his shoulder however it did give me a very nice view of his neck and stubble, blushing at my minds inappropriate thought strand I look up at his chocolate eyes.

"Don't bother cooking them. Let's just sit on them and squash them into jelly." Glancing over at the Dwarves on the spit I tremble slightly at the sight, seeing Bofur, Dwalin, Dori, Ori and Nori's faces go redder and redder from the heat off the fire made me squirm with worry.

"Kili, how are we going to get out of this?" I whisper into his ear, his hands rub soothing circles into my back.

"Gandalf will come soon!" He whispers back determinedly. Looking around at us I bite my lip as the trolls squabble between themselves, checking all the tree line I couldn't see hair nor hide of the Wizard. Feeling tears prickle at my eyes I turn my face back so it was buried in Kili's shoulder so he couldn't see me getting upset. Was this truly why Gandalf brought me here, so I could be eaten by three trolls? "Marcy?" Peeking up at his face those chocolate eyes were looking worried at me. "We are going to get out of this! Don't you worry my Damsel!" Sniffing slightly I nod and dry my eyes on his coat slightly.

"WAIT! You are making a terrible mistake!" Both me and Kili look up and see Bilbo hopping towards them in his sack, a bit like a bunny rabbit.

"You can't reason with them, they're half-wits." Dori yelled out as Bofur shouted in reply: "Half-wits? What does that make us?" Chuckling quietly into Kili's shoulder at Bofur's answer, trust him to find humour in this situation.

"Uh – I meant with the seasoning." One of trolls stumbled forward and glared down at Bilbo.

"What about the seasoning?" It growled out at him. I think if I was Bilbo I would have wet my pants right about now!

"Well have you smelt them? You're going to need something stronger that sage before you can plate this lot up." Feeling my eyebrows raise in surprise I hold in laughter at the absolute horror and shock on Kili's face; to be honest all the Dwarves did stink a little bit but I probably do as well. All the Dwarves started shouting at Bilbo calling him a traitor and I swear I saw Gloin try and kick him.

"What do you know about cooking Dwarf?" One of the other trolls asked as Bilbo stumbled forwards.

"Shut up, and let the, uh, flurgaburburrahobbit talk." The first troll growled out.

"Uh, th-the secret to cooking dwarf is, um-" Seeing him stumble over his words I mime the words skin at him, don't ask me but that was the only thing I could think of.

"Yes, come on."

"It's uh – " mouthing the word 'skinned' at him again his eyes registered what I was mouthing at him.

"Tell us the secret." He snarled down at Bilbo.

"Ye-yes I am telling you the secret! The secret is … toooo skin them first!" Smiling proudly at Bilbo I rest my head back on Kili's shoulder as he and the rest of the other Dwarves start shouting abuse out at him.

"Tom, get me my filleting knife." I see Gandalf rush past a bunch of bushes near the outcrop, smiling happily at the old bugger I glance back and see Bombour in one of the trolls hands hanging above us all.

"Yeah, he's got worms in his … tubes…" Confused I look at Bilbo and completely miss Bombour being dropped back onto all the Dwarves, thankfully me and Kili were out of the dropping zone; I am too young to be squished twice in one day!

"In-in fact they all have, they're infested with parasites. It's a terrible business; I wouldn't risk it, I really wouldn't!" Bilbo carried on; glaring up at him I mouth parasites. He couldn't think of anything else?! Parasites? Really!

"Parasites, did he say parasites?" Seeing Oin rolling around agitated as the other Dwarves start to shout out in anger.

"We don't have parasites! You have parasites!" Kili yelled from under me, snorting in slight amusement I raise an eyebrow at him.

"Really?" I whisper, he glares until we feel a sharp kick coming from the left of us, seeing Thorin's glare all the Dwarves change tactic.

"I've got parasites as big as my arm!"

"Mine are the biggest parasites, I've got huge parasites!" Holding in the laughter that wanted to escape me I decide I want to join in.

"Mine are so big I've named them!" I shout out, Kili sends me a cheeky grin as we all carry on shouting about how big our parasites are.

"What would you have us do, then, let 'em all go?" the ground shuddered as the troll stepped forwards.

"Well …" Bilbo you are going to get us all killed! Worried I watch the small Hobbit just smile innocently up at the Troll … he is going to be squished I can see it now!

"You think I don't know what you're up to? This little ferret is taking us for fools!" The troll snarled down at Bilbo.

"Ferret!" Of all the things to be annoyed at really, not that we are going to be eaten alive but that he got called a ferret!

"Fools?" Another troll growled out.

"THE DAWN WILL TAKE YOU ALL!" Trying to look round and see Gandalf all I can see is the trolls, huffing in annoyance I wiggle around trying to see the Wizard.

"Who's that?"

"No idea."

"Can we eat him too?" Huffing I glare up at the trolls until a bright light hits the entire clearing closing my eyes I turn my head away from the brightness. As soon as it started it ended, peeking out the three trolls were all stood still, looking closer I saw they looked like their skin was actually stone. All the Dwarves started cheering, wiggling around I tried to get out of the sack.

"Er Marcy?" Looking down at Kili I see his cheeks had a slight flush,

"Yeah?" I carry on trying to get out of the sack.

"Could you perhaps stop wiggling?" Confused I look back down at him and then see his pleading eyes and blushing cheeks, bemused I still until I could feel a certain area of him against me. I could honestly feel my eyebrows reach my hairline and disappear.

"Oh…"

"Yeah." Feeling the blush run all the way up my neck to my cheeks I try and lean away from him hearing a cough from above us I see Fili grinning down. Oh Great.

"Need some help down there?" Blushing even more I nod pleadingly up at the other young prince.

"Please!" Me and Kili both plead.

Leaning down he quickly cuts the rope that kept us tied together, trying to wiggle out of the bag Fili grab my shoulders and pulled me out of the bag nice and speedily.

"Let's try not to wiggle any more Miss Marcy." Fili's cheeky grin made my blush increase, seeing Gandalf wave me over I excuse myself, walking over I peek over my shoulder and see Kili smiling slightly at me. Smiling back I face the Wizard who squeezed my shoulder and walk over to the Trolls.

Lets try not to embarrass myself any more Marcy!

I hope you all liked it, sorry for being so long!
