Author's Note: This is completely self-indulgent and does not entirely line up with canon. Do not read if you have not seen the finale.

Snowdrift
Ahsoka watched as Morai lifted off her arm and flew off to the sky. Darth Vader had visited the moon, and found the wreckage. The Empire knew what happened for certain. The rumors of her death were now confirmed for them. Or at least they thought they were.
The moon the battle had taken place above and on had been destroyed by the battle. Once a moon known for its spectacular and beautiful winters and glaciers and everything cold, the moon was turning inhospitable. The destroyed hyperdrive, the ship's entrance into the atmosphere, and collision of the ship with the moon had plunged the moon into eternal cold. Slowly but surely the moon was becoming a place covered with glaciers, ice plains, and thick snowfall.
Hoth would be the perfect place for a hidden Rebellion base.
Ahsoka turned to her communicator. Senator Organa would need to know. Hoth was remote and with its worsening conditions soon no one, or few, would be willing to live on the moon. It made it the perfect place to hide a base. If they could start construction early they could put down the bare ground work for a series of bases, and as the years went by the ice build up and snowdrifts would cover it, effectively hiding it. If necessary they could even use parts from the wreckage of the crash to build the base.
But part of Ahsoka was reluctant. Hoth was the resting place of the 332nd Company. She was not sure if she wanted their graves, their resting place, to be disturbed. They had seen enough of war. They did not need war brought to their resting place. And part of Ahsoka's mind wandered to Rex… She hoped he was safe and well.
Ahsoka sighed. She would recommend Hoth as a place of last resort for a base. The Empire would not come back here, not now that they knew she was dead. They would have no use for the moon as it decayed further. No one would think to come here. Moreover, it would be difficult to run the Rebellion off of Hoth as the moon decayed. A place of last resort it would have to be.
But Ahsoka found it hard to ignore the warning in her head. The warning about Vader. There was something off about Vader, something almost familiar, but she was not quite sure what. And Ahsoka was curious to know why he took her lightsaber. Proof of her death? Ahsoka did not know, but— Ahsoka could not dwell on it. She would figure it out in time.
Ahsoka glanced one last time at the direction Morai had flown in. The Clone Wars had ended, only for something new to begin.
Author's Note: I just had to write this, even if it was just for myself. When Clone Wars cut to an ice planet with the Snow Troopers my first thought was Hoth. And then I got thinking. The ending has to be maybe a few years after the rise of the Empire, and that gives time for a base on Hoth to be built by the time of The Empire Strikes back. And the Hoth Base seemed very improvised, using the environment and old parts. My dad suggested they used parts of the Republic ship to build the base. The collision/crash of the ship also could have messed up the environment to become Hoth as we know it. All of that got turned into this. It also helped that the base on Hoth is called Echo Base.
Now, I know this does not line up with canon. Hoth is a planet, not a moon, but I don't care. I also know this probably doesn't line up with the Ahsoka novel (which I haven't read yet), but I figure there is some wiggle room for it to fit. I just really wanted to write this and get out some of the excitement from the finale. I am going to miss Clone Wars, but the ending was so perfect. Reviews, feedback, and constructive criticism are welcome, but keep in mind I wrote this in about an hour with little editing done.
