Thank you for all your reviews. This is the final chapter. Certainly M for very adult situations.
"You're still here," Klaus' surprised voice carried to the window nook of his room where Bonnie sat still dressed in his clothes. The sun reflected off the pages of her book and bathed her in a glow.
Bonnie's soft smile slipped the minute her eyes took in Klaus's blood-soaked appearance.
She stood up abruptly, book falling to the ground, "What did you do?"
"You're still here," he said again, this time more confidently.
"Klaus what did you do." Bonnie said with more force.
"Tell me, Bonnie, why are you still here?" Klaus said curiously.
The lights flickered in sync with Bonnie's knitted brows, "Klaus, whose blood is that?"
Klaus peeled off his jacket and threw it on the ground. The blood on his henley stuck to the outline of his lower abdomen, "I suppose I'm caught red-handed."
Klaus lifted the bloody shirt over his head and off his body. He moved casually to his bathroom. Bonnie's foot tapped impatiently at the sound of the shower starting.
Klaus walked back out with a damp towel and began to wipe his neck.
Bonnie tugged at the long arms of Klaus' sweater that she was still wearing, in an attempt to not look at Klaus's torso contort and stretch.
Klaus put the towel down and finally made eye contact with Bonnie's fiery look, "Your creature problem. It's handled."
"Excuse me?" Bonnie crossed her arms.
"That creature that attacked the doppelganger and Salvatore. It won't be bothering you anymore."
"How-what," Bonnie turned from him and shook her head in confusion. The events of the last 24 hours of her life were catching up to her.
She was confused and pissed, "Why? Why would you do that? What gives you the right. I had it-"
"What? Under control?" Klaus snorted sarcastically, "Yesterday's scene at the bar lead me to believe otherwise."
The sun is suddenly blotted out by biblical clouds. Sunlight ceases to stream into the room.
"What gives you the right?" Bonnie seethes.
Klaus' rag drops from his hand. His jaw clenches, "A thank you would suffice, love."
"Cut the 'love' crap. I don't need your help. I don't need you."
Klaus balled his fists, his eyes flashing gold. Damon's words echo in his mind.
"You don't just get to murder at will Klaus. You probably don't even know the full story! You are not the judge, jury, and executioner. Maybe that's what it's like in your beloved New Orleans but this is Mystic Falls! This is reality!"
Klaus stalked over to Bonnie, "And what makes you an apt judge? You're so clouded by your need to be loved by those ungrateful imbeciles that you risk your life at the drop of a dime. What does that say about you, witch? It's pathetic, your path-"
A clap of thunder accented the sound of Bonnie's hand connecting with Klaus' cheek.
Klaus is tempted to laugh fully at the melodrama and irony of it all. His first selfless act in 30 years and he's being slapped for it. Klaus moves his head center and peers down at Bonnie's face. Frustrated tears accumulate in her eyes but not a single one drops.
Klaus opts for a dark chuckle instead. He walks to the bathroom door where steam billows out from the shower he turned on minutes before.
He turns before going in, "You fight every battle for everyone else. So I fought this one for you. I fought this so you could rest, so you could keep that pretty head of yours in the clouds for a bit longer."
Bonnie crossed her arms, her hair creating a curtain over her face. Klaus shut the door to the bathroom softly.
The water was hellfire hot. Klaus stretched his neck back to allow the shower stream to assault his torso.
The steamrolling around Klaus' bathroom might as well have come from Klaus' ears. He hadn't un-clenched His jaw since hopping in the shower.
I don't need you.
Klaus' fist connected with the emerald green tile above the shower handle. The two tiles above and below crumbled at the impact. The water stung his hand before it healed.
You're not good enough for her.
He hit the wall again, then again, again this time lifting his shoulder into it for a larger impact.
Fragments of emerald tiles drop to the drain, mixing with blood tinted water.
Bonnie hastily picked up her clothes from easily the most ornate upholstered chair she had ever seen. They were still damp.
She was still shaking in anger and she couldn't find her left sock.
Her phone vibrated from across the room. It buzzed furiously eight more times before she stalked across the room to retrieve it.
Nine missed text messages from Damon illuminated her screen and they kept coming.
Judgy
JUDGY!
Call me right now.
I don't know how you got yourself tangled up in.
He ripped him in half without blinking an eye, Bonnie.
CALL ME!
He's planning something, I know it.
Call me on your way over here and bring your grimmore.
He's using you to make a play at Elena, I just know it. We can stop him before he gets the chance.
Bonnie, call me NOW.
Bonnie's fingers were numb, she sat down at the edge of the bed, ankle sock long forgotten. The numbness spreads throughout her body. She rereads the message.
He's using you to make a play at Elena.
She loses track of time staring at that message. Ignoring two incoming calls from Damon. She doesn't hear the bathroom door open.
"You're still here?" Klaus says for the third time that day, this time it's devoid of hope. He regards her like an inconvenience.
Bonnie doesn't look up from her phone. She re-reads Damon's message again, "Why did you do this?" Bonnie asks quietly, her voice is tinged with the earnest need to know the base of his motivation.
Klaus seriously considers lying. He thinks of an imaginary nefarious plot that will return them to their proper sides; the saint and the devil.
Then she looks up at him, eyes focused so intently on his own he half expects a spell.
"I did it for you." He said, simply, honestly.
Bonnie nods slowly and looks down at her phone. She shuts it off.
Bonnie is thinking of her lost sock, hiding somewhere in the depth of Klaus' Faberge egg of a master bedroom. If she doesn't distract herself, she'd be in real danger of suffocating Klaus with her thighs.
He licks a spot that simultaneously makes her jolt up and spread her legs wider.
She all but whimpers and Klaus all but coos into her wet center before lapping at the spot again.
Bonnie's head rolls from one side to the other, barely believing the plushness of Klaus' mouth.
He removes his mouth and places a wet kiss on her inner thigh. Bonnie sighs, almost grateful for relief of the maddening pace of his tongue.
She watches him kiss her thigh again then bring his hand to her mound. She shutters as his fingers trace the path that his mouth had previously taken.
Bonnie knew for a fact that she would remember how his pink, wet lips parted in awe and pleasure for the rest of her life. She was mesmerized.
He planted another absent-minded kiss to her inner thigh as he ran his thumb up and down her clit.
Her eyes fluttered shut but she forced them open. She didn't want to miss a single minute of this.
His finger found its way inside her. Her moan is met with a his from him.
"Bonnie, love," he said, already adding a second finger, "God. You're so delicious."
Bonnie can only pant in response, language has left her. Klaus licks his lips and bites down a groan - his other hand reaching to remove his towel and stroke himself.
Bonnie's core muscles tighten as she rolls her hips against his curling fingers.
"Fuck-" she breathes out like a prayer. The expletive leaving her mouth gives Klaus goosebumps.
He can't stand it anymore. He quickly removes his fingers and positions himself at her entrance. He licks those very fingers as he enters her, slowly.
Bonnie can't fathom the fullness. She arches up, her nipples grazing his chest. She circles her arms around his neck and held on.
"T-Tell me," she pants in the shell of his ear, "Tell me again."
Klaus hips snap into her like a mad man, he can feel how close she is.
"I did it for you."
A grin touches her lips. She allows her eyes to close. Everything goes quiet before she shatters into a million pieces.
"There's no way you finished that entire basket of beignets in one sitting."
Klaus fingers padded through her scalp.
Bonnie smiled (to be fair she hadn't stopped smiling for the last 3 hours) and shrugged.
"I can show you when we get there."
