Harry Potter x Hatching Pete
I Don't Care! I'm Letting Go!
All Harry and Ron could think of was, how funny that Chicken was.
"Who knew this guy was so funny?" Ron asked.
"I know. It's great. Something worth while since the games suck." Harry said.
Jenny, Ron's little sister, smiled slightly knowing who was really under that chicken suit.
"Hey Jenny." Said Angela.
"Hey Angela. What's up?" Ginny asked her.
"You digging the chicken?" She asked.
Ginny smiled looking at him having fun. With a nod she said: "He's letting go of everything. I think it's perfect for him." She told her.
"Reminds me why I came to this school." Angela said.
"Because your boyfriend also, was a chicken in high school?" Ginny said.
Angela laughed. "Sure. But also, I know what it's like to play someone your not till your set free." She said.
Ginny nodded. "I'm sure eventually, my boyfriend and brother will see it."
The girls watched the chicken go on for a little longer before the game was over. Jenny headed to the locker room to see who was under the chicken head.
"Hello Draco." She said.
A tall blonde man turned to see her standing in the doorway.
"What are you doing here, Potter?" He snapped.
"Please don't get all snappy with me. Or I would have told Harry a long time ago." Ginny said. "I'm trying to be nice here."
Draco scoffed. "Please. All you care about is-"
"Ginny! Where did you go?" Hermione Granger came around the corner.
"Hey Hermione." Jenny said quickly closing the door. Draco ducked out of sight before she could see him.
"What are you doing by the boys locker room?" She asked.
"I was trying to see who the chicken was." Ginny whispered.
"Ah. Did you see who?" Hermione asked.
Ginny shook her head. "Nope. Must have doopped out before I got here." She said.
"Well, both the Poole siblings are waiting with our boys. Better get going." Hermione said.
Ginny nodded and they headed out.
"There they are." Pete said.
"They just take their time. Told you. Girls intuition." Angela said.
"Someone was trying to look at who the chicken was." Hermione said.
"Really? Gin. Don't go snooping into a guys locker." Ron shook his head.
"You didn't see him?" Harry asked.
"No. I would love to know who it is. Guy or girl." Ginny said.
"If it's a girl, I'm calling her!" Cleatis said.
"Come on man. You have a girlfriend." Pete said.
"EX! Jamie and I have been broken up for a month now." He said.
Pete rolled his eyes.
"Let it go guys." Angela said. "I'm sure I could talk to her about it." She added.
"Please." Pete begged.
"Shall we get moving?" Ron asked.
As the door opened, Draco walked out.
"Where were you the whole time? Being an evil wizard like always?!" Ron yelled over at him.
"Ron." Ginny snapped.
"It's alright Ron. Just leave him be. He's had his pain. Back in Hogwarts. He's living his life. Just leave it alone. For get it." Harry said.
"And this is why I love you so." Ginny smiled.
"Whatever!" Draco shouted.
Jenny still smiled at Harry and then at Draco.
He walked off before the others could say anything more.
"There you are." He heard a voice. "Hey Jamie." He said.
"How's my lovable cousin?" She asked.
"Please don't give me that." He said sighing.
"What? Are those guys still giving you a hard time?" She asked.
He nodded. "I just wish they'd stop. We aren't in school anymore." He said.
"They will. Once you finish building up your rep as the chicken. Then you can reveal yourself." She explained.
"I don't think be reliving your high school past fantasy is a great idea." Draco told her.
Jamie glared at him. "No. That's not what this is. This is you getting more popular." She said.
"Everyone thinks you are dating the chicken. Which is me. And we, sadly, are cousins." He said.
Jamie huffed and marched on.
Draco smiled a little. Maybe he should be happy people like him. And not for him being...evil. But for being a person. Now, if only he'd show those other losers.
He may be out of school but he still prefers to call them that.
The next game, Draco decided to reveal himself after the game ended. He was a lot too old for this game anyway.
"You sure you want to do that?" Ginny asked.
"How do you-" He pointed a finger at her. "None of that crafty mind stuff." He said.
"Sorry. But sometimes I can't help it." She said.
Draco left her there and went out onto the floor.
The game was like any other game for basket quittage.
Fred and George were the best coaches for this game.
Ron and Ginny were proud that their brothers were doing something other then running their shop.
Fred may be in a chair, but he's still got it.
George ended up winning the game.
As the chicken, Draco cheered with everyone else.
The he stopped.
Everyone went quiet.
Ginny went down to the bottom of the bleachers waiting for him to do it.
"If you do this, You'll never be popular or admired like you were before in school!" Jamie shouted.
Everyone turned to her.
"What the- Jamie?"
"Cleatis Poole?"
Draco then saw the one person who really believed in him.
"Bro. Why is your ex here?" Camie Poole. She always talked to Draco. She even spent time with him before school ever started.
She may not have known about his secret of being a wizard. Course, he had to hide her from his parents. But now, it doesn't matter.
Draco took the head off of him and grinned at the faces of his classmates.
"WHAT?!" Ron and Harry were the most shocked.
"I never- Ginny! You knew?!" Hermione asked.
Ginny ignored her and clapped for him.
"Draco?" Camie worked her way down to where Ginny was standing. Draco slowly walked to meet her.
"Hey Camie." He said.
"You. It's been too long. But, how?" She asked meaning the suit.
Draco thought about telling her that it was all his cousin's idea. But he left it out. "I wanted to be seen not as a bad guy." He said.
"You aren't. We aren't in school anymore Draco." Ginny said. She looked to her brother and friends.
They all were still shocked.
"Oh. Draco. You aren't a bad guy." Camie said.
Draco couldn't take it anymore. He picked her up and spun her around.
"HAY! That's my sister!" Cleatis yelled.
"Oh relax Cleatis." Angela said. "Be happy for her. Now she's found someone who will be the best to her."
Pete smiled. "Sounds familiar." He said looking to her.
Angela smiled then kissed Pete on the cheek. "I love you. Always have." She said.
Camie was set down. But not too long. She leaned up on her toes and kissed Draco.
Everyone cheered for that at least.
Hermione shrugged and clapped.
Harry scoffed but clapped.
Ginny was giggling of happiness for them.
Ron wanted to scream so badly. But he kept quiet. But he didn't clap.
Draco and Camie later got out of the school and went wherever they wanted.
The End
