Hello, this is waluigifan64 here again for chapter 4. are you ready? I know this story may not be interesting to anyone but I want to write it so here we go Episode 4. sorry this took so long, as a side note if you want please review, it would really help the quality of this story because I'm not very good at pacing (it's fine if you don't but it's appreciated) Happy may the fourth
Qui-Gon's Pov
he hadn't been able to obtain a training saber for Anikin. that was a problem. fortunately, he was able to plan a trip to Ilum, otherwise, it would be difficult to get his hands on a Kyber crystal for the boy.
now he was on his way to visit obi-wan. as he walked down the hallway he sensed a strange sense of sadness coming from Obi-Wan's room and wondered what he was up to. he then entered the quarters
"ah, master Qui-Gon what is it?"
"hello Obi-Wan, I trust the sith has been keeping you busy?"
"yes master, the council has decided to put him on probation. he can move around the temple but he can't leave, and I have to be with him when he does move."
Probation? that could end poorly
"well, that's not the wisest choice the council has made. what has the sith told you?"
"not much. his name is Darth Maul and he was raised as a sith, kind of like how the Jedi are."
so he was named Maul. a fitting name for a sith, or a Dathomiran, and he was raised from infancy?
"master... do you ever wonder what your life would have been like if you weren't a Jedi?"
"well to be honest, yes I have but there's no way of knowing for sure. the only time I went to my homeworld, I found a force-sensitive stone in a place called the river of light, which I gave to you."
"I forgot that was from your homeworld master. I apologize"
an Idea formed in Qui-Gon's head
"you know I'm planning a trip to Ilum, so Anakin can make a lightsaber. I could drop you and the sith off on Dathomeir when we leave. maybe it will make him tell you something important"
"that's a good plan master. I'll go get the council's approval"
"No, If the council heard they would just say no. they haven't spoken to him."
"Ok master, but you will have to be careful then."
then Qui-Gon left the room.
Maul's pov
boredom. shear unbridled boredom. apparently that was his life now. it was really depressing that the highlight of the day was always when Kenobi showed up. after the shower rod incident, he didn't have a pole to practice his katas with, at least he could meditate now. the collar wasn't restricting his access to the force anymore so as long as he played by the Jedi's rules he could still use the force. he could leave the room on occasion... it didn't help. he needed to fight something.
Kenobi entered the room. finally, he took his time today
"ah Kenobi to what do I owe this pleasure?" he said sarcastically
"well I was going to sneak you to the lowest levels of the temple but I won't if you act like that."
"why sneak me?"
"I'll tell you later come on get up."
as they exited the room maul noticed the cameras were pointing away from the elevators. as soon as the elevator door closed obi wan pressed the button for sublevel 1
"why the basement?"
"just come on."
once they arived in the basement they went to sublevel 212, maul saw that there was almost no one down in the basement.
then he saw Obi-Wan's old master fiddling with a holo droid.
"Alright what's going on here, why did you take me to this poorly lit basement?" maul asked
"We are taking you to Dathomeir but to do so you need to seem like you're still here, this holo droid will pretend to be you, meanwhile you hide in a crate while obi wan is taking the droid to your room, and I will take the crate you are into the shuttle." said
"anything else?"
Obi-wan and his master looked at each other
"We have to knock you out to remove the collar." the master said
"wait, what?" maul said
then everything went black
Anakin's pov
"... and soon we're going To get me a lightsaber crystal. Isn't that cool sir?"
"Yes Anakin that's VERY interesting," Palpatine said
"Obi-Wan is coming with us too, he's getting dropped off somewhere."
"you wouldn't happen to know where would you?" he questioned
"Master Qui-Gon said he would tell me on the way, just in case."
"hm, I wonder if Kenobi is supposed to be leaving the Jedi temple?"
"oh, Sir I'm sure that Obi-Wan is allowed to come."
then Qui-gon entered the room
"I'm sorry chancellor Palpatine, I shouldn't keep leaving Anakin with you." Qui-Gon said
"Nonsense master Gin, watching Anakin is one of the few things I can do to help that's not dull or related to the senate." Palpatine said
"well if it really isn't a problem. Anakin are you ready?" Qui-Gon asked
"are we going, Master Qui-Gon?"
"yes, come on to the shuttle then." Qui-Gon said
"YIPPE!"
"thank you again, for watching him chancellor"
"it's no problem." Palpatine said
it was a problem, just not for him
