Author's note: Hi everyone, here comes the last chapter of the story! I know some of you will hate it, sorry about that, but well… I thought I should finish anyway. I will start a new story tomorrow or the day after that. Please check it out! Especially if you hate this one, cuz I think it will be much more… Well, I probably shouldn't reveal anything… Anyway: Please enjoy!

Exactly: About my name: A good guess! I hadn't thought about it myself. So no, it's wrong answer. Point is, I am going to write a story where the secret behind is going to be revealed. Just read on (when I write it, of course) and you will find out. About your own name: I noticed that you used it first time right after someone had told me how to spell exactly in the reviews of "Your brother is a murderer". Was it a coincidence, or did you call yourself "Exactly" because of that? And also, did you believe my name was Ray? Well, that was indeed a lot of questions! ;-) I was just curious, you know… Also, I have to confess I am really curious about your review to "Your Brother is a Murderer". I mean, it has to be a pretty long review considered you have used about 15 hours writing it! No, just joking… ;-)

Chapter 5 – All's well that ends well

"You may kiss the bride"

With trembling hands Joe lifted the veil. All hope was gone from his eyes. He was going to face his bride – and it wasn't Vanessa…

'It isn't Vanessa, it isn't Vanessa, it isn't…'

"Vanessa?!"

Joe heard himself scream. He was staring into Vanessa's emerald-eyes. Not someone's emerald-eyes, but into Vanessa's emerald-eyes. And they were beautiful, breath-taking beautiful. She smiled, the magic, wonderful little smile he loved so much. She was his wife. His only, eternal wife. No one else. Not someone. It was Vanessa.

"What?" Joe found himself too confused, too dizzy, too incredibly relieved to say anything that made any sense. Was he dreaming? If he was, he wanted to never, ever wake up again.

"Yes Joe, it's me." Her voice was soft. Soft, beautiful, happy.

Before Joe could answer she took his arm and lead him down the aisle. Not able to protest, Joe just followed. He was more and more sure the whole thing was a dream. The people sitting on the benches were his friends and family. His mum, dad, aunt Gertrude, Callie, – everyone was present. Everyone except from himself, Joe thought mournful. His mind was a blur, the world was spinning in front of his eyes. He was dreaming. They lived. Lived in front of his eyes, but out of his reach.

Surrealism. It was all so surreal. He was married with Vanessa. Okay, good. But what with the kidnapping? Frank? The two guards? The crazy woman who had forced him to marry the love of his life? It didn't make sense at all. After all, though, dreams don't usually make a whole lot of sense…

"Joe, husband, cheer up! You don't look like a groom at all! Don't you love me? Aren't you glad we are married?" The voice besides him, waking him from one dream to another. It was Vanessa. They were out of the church. The sun gleamed towards them. But Joe knew it was night. That's when you sleep, after all. And you dream when you sleep… unless…

"Vanessa? Is this… real? Am I dreaming?" His own voice. She laughed at him, her red lips turning into a wide smile. "Of course it's real, Joe Hardy! We are married! You have any regrets?"

"Not at all!" For the first time since he had said gotten married, Joe felt a small hope lit in his heart. Perhaps it was real after all?

"Frank! There you are! I think we have something to speak about."

Joe stood in the garden of his parent's house, the red evening sun reflecting in his vivid, blue eyes.

"So true! First of all, congratulation! I haven't said a word to you since you got married, and that's three hours ago now." Frank said, looking at his watch.

"Wrong. We haven't spoken since you told me to marry someone." Joe corrected "I have asked Vanessa what's going on, and she told me the whole thing: You guys, or shall we say you, arranged this to get me married. The guards were Chet and Biff, the crazy woman some actor called Angelica Starbuck. Why Frank? Why?"

"First of all, dear Joe, cuz you asked me." Frank started.

"I? Asking you to kidnap me? Sorry Frank, but I really can't remember I ever said something like that."

"Well, not exactly asked me to kidnap you, but you told me to set the date. Well, I did. You asked me to arrange everything. I did it. You asked me to forget all about those documents we were going to get in order. I did. And as the marvellous big brother I am" Joe could see Frank's eyes twinkle with a teasing shade "I thought I was going to give you a wedding in "real-Joe-Hardy-fashion". You can't deny I managed rather well, can you?"

Joe just stared at his brother, not sure weather to yell at him, roll his eyes or say thank you. "Do you have any idea how much it… hurt?" he finally managed to choke out.

"What is light without dark? Nothing. You have to experience something bad to really enjoy the good things in life. Therefore: Enjoy!" Frank grinned broadly; his deep-brown eyes gleaming.

"You know Frank, I will never forgive you." Joe's voice was more teasing than serious, but still, a hint of gravity lay as an abyss in his undertone.

"For giving you what you asked for? For giving you Vanessa? For letting you see how lucky you are? Seriously Joe, I never meant it to affect you as much as it did, but after all: Wouldn't you have done the same to me?"

Suddenly, both Joe's sapphire-eyes were fixed on him, now with nothing but amusement in them "What have I done! You are already married!"

"There you see, little brother, its a good thing being able to make up your mind." Frank said with a smile.

"When is your golden wedding?" Joe's face was as serious as a mask when he asked.

"In about 48 years or so. How?" Frank asked, slightly taken aback.

"Nothing. I just have some… preparations to do." Joe smiled smugly. Frank couldn't help but laugh. "Okay Joe, I have to say I look forward to it!" he smiled.

"Really?" Joe sounded astonished "you shouldn't, Frank. You really, really shouldn't…"

Smiling, the two brothers headed back to the house. Inside, a wedding was awaiting them. Especially, it was awaiting Joe Hardy. The beautiful, exited woman in a long, dazzling white wedding dress was awaiting him more than anything or anyone. You can call her a someone. Joe preferred to call her Vanessa. Just in case. Just to make sure he wasn't dreaming, but that she really was his wife. It was so close between dreams and reality, after all. So close between criminals and family, so close between betrayal and loyalty. Happily, he found himself on the right side of all those things. Just barely, though…

Closing his eyes and imagining the tall, emerald-eyed woman who now was his wife, he realised barely was more than enough. It had made him… happy. Happy beyond belief…

Finished! I know some of you will hate me and say Frank would never do such a thing. Perhaps you are right. But still… A wedding in "Joe-Hardy-Fashion" can no one deny it was! As I have said before, the whole plot belongs to Frank Joseph Haydn, so a great thank to her! If something was wrong with this story, go to her. If you loved it: Go to me! (No, just joking:-))

Anyway: As always, I love to read your reviews, so please tell me what you think. I will soon, tomorrow or the day after that, start a new story. Actually, I will start two. Please check them out! They are going to be quite different from this, I think. Don't know exactly yet, though, so you will have to read to find out ;-)

Before you go, I need to thank those of you who reviewed this story. You are fantastic! So a big thank to Exactly, Candylou, OinBed and EvergreenDreamweaver! Until next time, then…

Au revoir!
