Goku was growing anxious as the days were getting closer to the 10 week mark. He had a date planned and was ready to win back his wife. Goten was excited to have his mom back too. Meanwhile, Chichi was getting ready for the underground martial arts tournament. She had trained hard and even got the heavier weighted clothes from Piccolo to push herself even more.

Finally, the day of the tournament arrived, which coincidentally was the end of the 10 weeks. Chichi headed to the tournament with Tien, Chiaotzu and some of Tien's students. Chichi wore a special outfit. She wore the same combat outfit as she did the last time she fought in a tournament. She even wore her hair in a low ponytail as she did that time. The training had made her stronger and rejuvenated her. She easily passed the eliminatories at the tournament and qualified for the finals. Tien congratulated Chichi for her performance, "That was awesome, Chichi! I wish Goku could be here to see you". A smiling Chichi responded, "That would make this day perfect".

Goku and Chichi might have been telepathically connected. While Chichi was saying those words, Goku felt in his heart it was time to see Chichi. He could not wait any longer. It was time to tell her how much she meant to him. He tracked her energy and used instant transmission to find her. He appeared at the most unexpected place, at the tournament to see Chichi inside of a ring fighting a large opponent. He knew Chichi could take him down since her power level was superior, but could not help to be excited for her. He saw Tien nearby and approached him to get some details on what was happening.

Tien: Oh Goku, I am glad you made it. This is the semi-final. If Chichi wins, she will pass to the finals. The other finalist is pretty good. It will be a close race, but I think Chichi will surpass him.

Goku: I expected everything, but to find Chichi inside a ring

Chichi was victorious and moved to the final duel. When she turned around to wave to her friends, she saw her husband there who was cheering the loudest. She bowed to thank him and all her other supporters.

The final fight was going to start in a few minutes. "Hey Tien, I will be right back. If you see Chichi tell her that I wish her good luck". Tien was confused, "Goku, where are you going? You don't want to see Chichi's fight?" Goku IT himself to Mt. Paoz to find Goten who was playing outside of their home. "Hi son! Come with me". He took his son and transported him to Gohan's house who was having tea with Videl. "Hi guys! You need to come with me". Gohan did not have enough time to ask questions when they suddenly appeared at the underground tournament. "Your mom is fighting. The final fight is about to start". The boys were confused, everything started making sense once they saw their mom in the middle of the ring.

Goku: "Hey Chichi! Give it your all! You are the best!

Goku was very excited to see his wife there, he kept telling the other expectators with a prideful face, "She is my wife!"

Goku was amazed seeing his wife in that outfit, remembering their fight. Back then, he did not recognize her at the beginning, but he felt a strong connection to her. He would have never imagined that Chichi was going to change his life so much. After so many years she looked as beautiful and powerful if not more. Her form and movements were so perfect. He could not stop looking at his wife and wishing he could have her in his arms.

Gohan and Goten: Go mom! We love you!

Goten: Daddy, he looks very strong. Is mommy going to be okay?

Goku: Don't worry son. Your mom is stronger. She fights saiyans every day.

Chichi saw all her family supporting her which filled her with so much joy. She could not lose the final fight having all her boys there cheering her up. It was a close flight, Chichi had some moments where she lost control of the situation, but heard a, "You got this, honey!" and gave her the energy to punch back. She finished the opponent by throwing him out of the ring, winning the tournament. All her family was full of excitement and screaming her name, Chichi the champion.

After receiving her prize, Chichi approached her family and friends. She thanked everyone from Tien's school for their hospitality and support. Goku could not help it and gave her a big hug that lifted her from the ground. Little Goten interrupted, "Daddy, it's my turn. I wanna hug mom too". Chichi had a wonderful day, but she was ready to go back home.

When the Son family was outside getting ready to leave the tournament, Goku called Nimbus. Chichi looked at him confused. He looked at her with a playful smile, "It's tradition after one of us wins a tournament". He took his wife in his arms, jumped on Nimbus and told Gohan, "Son, can you watch your little brother? I will pick him up tomorrow. Make sure he does his reading?". Gohan shaked his head yes. He knew his parents were having problems and was happy to help them to have some quality time together.

Just as they did over 20 years ago, they flew on Nimbus across the mountains and oceans, with the difference that this time Goku did not mind having Chichi very close to him. This time around, he wanted her as close as possible. They flew around a familiar area close to the Ox Kingdom. "Where are we going, Goku?" He smiled, "We are going on a date. On our second first date." Chichi was surprised and confused, "Where?"
