While the battle raged on, meanwhile, back at the base, Leia felt the sting of Kabob within her. She looked around—Rose had seen it happen to her. Leia calmly walked over to her cot and sat down, a grim look upon her face—she had seen so many things in her lifetime, and as such, she was prepared for what would happen next.
"Rose..." Leia said. "Help me lie down..."
"Leia?!" Rose asked, then, as she helped her lie down, she knew just what was happening. "No...Leia...if this is what I know it is...don't go! Please, for the love of the Lite Vinaigrette don't go! You've got so much to live for!! Don't leave us, my general!"
"Rose..." Leia said, giving a slight sigh. She pulled the General badge off her blouse, and slowly pinned it on Rose's camo blouse. "Zhe only General I see, is...is you."
"...what?" Rose asked, staring at the general badge on her blouse in disbelief. "Leia—"
"Take care of them for me..." Leia said.
And with that, Leia was gone.
Rose tried to hold back a large, fat tear, but failed as she pulled the blanket over Leia's face in solemn respect.
Suddenly, a few soldiers (who had been watching this the entire time) came over to Rose, noticing her new badge.
"So, uh, General Rose..." one of them said. "What do you say we do now?"
Rose thought a moment and smiled.
"We do what Leia did." She said. "Rise to the occasion."
