Chapter 21
As they locked up for the evening Cassie told him, "Then everything seems to be in place, all we have left to do is find out when everyone will be flying in so we can make arrangements to pick people up from the airport."
"I still have the rental vehicle so I can pick up anyone that needs a ride. I will need to return to Virginia after the wedding sometime. I'll need to pack up what I want to bring here, possibly put some things in storage, put the house up for sale and then I can drive my car back here with my personal items. If you think you could get the time away maybe you could go with me?"
"I'd like that," she told him as they walked down the hall to their rooms, after checking to be sure the hall was clear they slipped into her room. As Cassie lit some candles AJ was busy turning down the bed. He looked over at her and saw how lovely she was by candle light. "Cassie have you thought any more about the question of us having children?"
"I guess my mind has been more on wedding plans. Have you given it any more thought?"
"I have and my thought was that unless you truly want to have another child that the four we have are fine with me."
"You're sure that you don't want a son to carry on your family name?"
"No, I don't have any burning desire to carry on the Chegwidden name," he chuckled.
"Then I guess Grace will be our youngest," Cassie gave a little sigh.
"Are you sure Cassie? You sounded slightly sad there."
"Not really darling. I'm very happy with the family we already have. The sigh was just at the thought of how sweet babies are. But within a few years Grace will be in college and then we would be free to travel or anything else we wanted. If we had another child that would have to be put off for quite some time."
"Then I should look into a vasetomy one of these days soon," he said as he sat down on the bed to remove his shoes and socks.
"AJ are you sure? That is a pretty permanent solution!"
"I know, but unless you think we will change our minds about another child I think it's the best long term answer."
Cassie thought about his statement for a minute and then nodded her head. "You're right," she admitted as she walked over to stand in front of him.
He took hold of her hands and pulled her down onto his lap, and kissed her tenderly. "I love you so very much Cassie."
"And I love you AJ. I can't tell you how glad I am that you came to Grayhouse for the vow renewal."
"As am I," he told her.
They slowly undressed each other then made love before falling asleep in the other's arms. The next morning they made love in the shower before heading downstairs to make breakfast.
Later that day Marth Tinsdale breezed into the shop announcing that she had found the perfect gift for them last night when she had gone shopping. She then wrapped Cassie in a tight hug telling her how happy she was for the two of them on their upcoming wedding.
While the two women were chatting the young blonde with the sleeping problem came into the store. She went right up to AJ and gave him a big hug. "Thank you SO much!"
Martha was quick to point this out to Cassie.
"You are very welcome. I guess the sleep aid worked then?"
"Oh yes! So very much! It was the best night sleep I've had in weeks!"
"I'm glad," AJ told her and then noticed Cassie and Martha looking their way. "This my fiancee's shop and she is the one that creats the oil blends." Motioning Cassie over to them he told her, "Cassie this young lady was in yesterday and purchased one of your sleep oil blends."
"It was wonderful!"
"I'm pleased that AJ was about to help you," Cassie told her.
"I can promise you that I will be shopping here a lot more from now on!" she turned and left the store with a smile and a wave.
"Well she was certainly a friendly customer!" Martha commented.
