Chapter 32

When AJ woke a few hours later he looked into her sleeping face and got up as quietly as he could so as not to wake her, dressed in his running clothes and headed out the door without her stirring.

Cassie got up while AJ was on his run and went downstairs to see off the couple who's vow renewal had set all of this in motion. She had just finished making breakfast for the two departing guests and went into the family room to invite them to come and eat.

Grace came down as the three of them were passing through the foyer. Harm stood between the women and even Grace couldn't tell which was which. "Mom?" she questioned them looking back and forth between them. Both realized what was going on right away and they shared an amused glance before responding in unison, "Yes?"

"Hey no fair!" she declared.

While Harm looked at the girl and asked, "You really can't tell who is who?"

"Well one would presume you saw your wife get dressed this morning so by knowing what she was wearing it would be a lot easier for you!" Grace snapped, not liking his attitude.

"Grace there's no need to be rude," Cassie gave herself away by correcting her daughter.

"Sorry Mom," Grace appologized looking at the woman who had revealed herself as her mother.

They all started into the dining room to eat when AJ returned from his run. He hadn't been there when Cassie got up that morning so wasn't aware of what she had put on. Therefore he couldn't tell by appearance which of the two beautiful woman was his brand new wife. Harm was at the buffett getting more food and there was an empty seat beside both Cassie and Mac so that gave him no clue either.

However without any hesitation he walked over to one of them, leaned over her, and kissed her tenderly on the lips.

She pulled back with a chuckle, "You need a shower Sir!" Cassie told him.

"I guess I do," he smiled in return. Saying good bye to Harm and Mac because George would be taking them to the airport as soon as they finished eating AJ headed up the stairs to take his shower.

When he returned to the dining room Grace was telling Brandon, Adel and Francesca the story of what had happened that morning with her inability to tell the difference between her own momother and Mrs. Rabb. She had just gotten to the part about AJ returning and going right up to Cassie to kiss her. Grace turned to face her new step dad and asked, "How in the world could you tell them apart like that?"

"It was actually very easy, I looked into the eyes of one and saw an old friend that I had known for years, liked and well respected but nothing more than that. Then I looked into the eyes of the other and saw the woman that I have loved for such a short time but will continue to do so until the day that I die. There was just no comparisson at all."
