Day 2
Time flys by when your asleep. Dreams make it more interesting, especially for Spacewalker, and his thoughts of the mysterious ways that Ava thinks in. He wondered where she has been all his life.
Unfortunately for Ava she was having a harder time falling asleep, when she did she woke up in a sweat trying to catch her breath.
Narrator's POV.
"*Gasp* oh it was a shitty dream like my shitty life." She said. she looked over at Octavia, who was half way of the bed. "What? Wh-what happens in your sleep that you get like that?" She said under her breath. Ava looked at her bed, the ground, then the flap to the outside world for a few minutes before Octavia woke up.
"Good morning, sunshine." She said. She was sitting on the ground taking hair out of her mouth.
"Good morning. I want to go exploring but I don't want to go alone. I've been alone for too long." Ava said getting out of her bed, helping Octavia to her feet.
"You could ask Spacewalker." She said. The girls were walking towards the dropship.
"What's with that nickname? It's not bad but why do people call him that?" Ava said.
"Why don't you ask him yourself?" Octavia jumped at the voice, Ava turned to see a long hair, nice eyes, cute boy standing there with a smile.
"Yeah, Ava just ask him yourself." Octavia chuckled, she continued her walk to the dropship. Leaving Ava with Finn.
"Yeah... ok... Uhmm... So why do people call you that?" Ava asked.
He looked at her.
"Because of my crime." He said.
"What's your crime?" She said.
"What's your crime?" He was smiling at her, admiring her face when the sun hit it, the way her eyes sparkle in the sun, how the wind blows her shoulder length brown hair that fades into a lighter brown.
"I asked you first." She said smiling back. Moving her side bangs out of her face.
"No, I asked you. You asked your question know I'm asking mine. What's your crime? You don't seem like the type that would do anything bad." He said. Ava thought about telling him, she really wants to know his crime but it's such a sensitive topic.
"I took the fall for someone about sealing medical supplies and food. When I was nine." She said. "Know what's your crime?" She said with a small smile.
"I want for a Spacewalk and got caught. Know tell me the rest of your crime." He said smirking. Ava was shocked, ' how did he know there was more?' she asked herself.
Ava's POV.
"Well after I got locked up, they found out that I didn't steal that stuff and that it was my sister how did. Since she was twenty she got floated for it. I got locked away because I was a sibling, my mother got floated for having me and that's when I met my father." I said. Octavia jumped up on my back, pointed to a path in the woods then screamed.
"LET'S GO ON AN ADVENTURE!!"
"Well I guess I'm going, I'll see you around Spacewalker Finn." I began walking with Octavia on my back.
"SEE YOU, PRINCESS AVA!" He screamed as I was already in the woods. I chuckled to myself.
We walked in silence for a few minutes. Octavia still on my back. Good thing she light.
"So you like him?" She said. This caught me by surprise. Jk no it didn't she's my best friend, she knows when I like someone.
"Yeah." I said with a sigh.
"I think he likes you." She said in a 'matter of fact voice.'
"You think everyone likes me." I said back with a 'I'm always right voice.'
"Yeah. That's true. But this time I'm right, cause I saw him talking to you on the dropship. When you pulled him close so he wouldn't die. You love him and he loves you." She said.
"So I saved him from being injured and maybe death. That doesn't mean he likes me. Plus I'm ok being alone." I said trying to sound good.
"You fucking liar. You have been alone for a long time. You are lucky that Marcus let you have some of a normal life. When I was locked away I didn't get to go out. You did. I don't know why you always choose to be in the skybox." She said. She was right I was lucky and I threw it away.
"Well at least I met you." I said lightning the mood.
"Yeah. Without you I would have gone insane." She laughed a little.
"What do you mean 'would have'? You are insane." I said we both started laughing.
2 hours later.
We saw a two headed deer. Which I thought was really cool. Octavia thought it was gross and scary.
We stopped by an abnormal looking tree. I pulled out my pocket knife my father gave to me when I was young.
~Flashback~
"Ava, I want to show you something." Kane said to his daughter. They stood by a big window looking out at earth.
"What is it?" The nine year old asked.
He kneeled down to her level. Reached into his pocket and pulled out a silver pocket knife. On the side 'C.K' was incraved.
"What's this?" She asked.
"Its a pocket knife my father gave to me and his father gave to him. The initials are my great grandfathers. Clifford Kane." He said handing it to the girl.
"For me?" She said taking in her hands and holding it close to her heart.
"Well I figured that we should continue the tradition." He said. Giving the small girl a hug.
~End of flashback~ Narrator's POV.
"What are you doing?" Octavia asked. She was sitting against the tree.
"I'm marking it. It's now my safe place." Ava said finishing her initials.
"Should we head back?" Octavia asked. They have been out there for awhile cause the sun was setting.
"I don't want too but Bellamy is probably worried. so yeah, we should." Ava said she looked at Octavia and noticed something was wrong with her leg. "What happened to your leg." Ava pointed to her leg.
"Oh, yesterday I got in an accident." She said beginning to walk back to camp.
"What do you mean?" Ava asked, curiosity flooding her mind.
"Well there was a waterfall I wanted to go swimming, Something grabbed my leg. It was a whole thing. I'm good and my legs fine." She said. Ava nodded.
At the camp.
Bellamy was walking around asking people if they seem Octavia. They all said no, he was getting worried.
"Oh my God! I can't believe you did that." Octavia and Ava arrived at the camp. The girls were laughing. Bellamy turned around and saw his sister. He ran up to her and hugged her. When he let go he looked at Ava and Octavia. They know he was gonna yell at them.
"Where have you two been?! I was so worried?!" He raised his voice. People near by turned to look at what was going on.
"We went on a walk. Bell we're fine." Octavia said.
"You could have gotten hurt." Octavia rolled her eyes at him. His eyes glued to her. He looked at Ava who was looking at the ground. "Ava what do you have to say?" She looked up and saw that he was pissed. She attempted to talk but nothing came out.
"Leave her alone." Octavia said. He kept his eyes on Ava.
"Ava. Say something." He said, his voice getting louder.
"W-we went f-for a walk. We lost t-track of time. We're sorry." She said. Octavia was gonna say something but Ava poked her ribs. Bellamy walked away.
"Come on, let's go see if your boyfriend's here." Octavia said, running to the dropship dragging Ava with her.
"Who?" She asked.
"Finn. Your boyfriend." Octavia ran into the dropship. Ava almost tripped over but caught herself.
"He's not my boyfriend." She said getting her balance back.
"But you want him to be." Octavia said wiggling her eyebrows. Ava didn't say anything, her reddened face said everything.
"Isn't she cute when she blushes?" Octavia said. Finn who was now right beside her nodded.
"Oh yes. Yes she is." He said. Ava's face turned a deeper shade of red.
"Finn I need you." A blonde hair girl says. She looks at Ava and hugs her.
"I thought I'd never see you again." She's still holding Ava.
"Clarke?" Ava says gently pushing her back to see her face. Clarke nodded and hugged Ava again. " It's so good to see you."
"You too." Clarke says coming close to tears.
"Don't cry Clarke." Ava says.
"Finn. I need your help to come up with a plan." He nods.
"What do you need Ava's boyfriend for?" Octavia says. Clarke, Finn and Octavia look at Ava.
"Boyfriend?" Clarke says not believing her own words.
"Boyfriend." Finn says smirking and biting his lip. Ava's face was so red. She was standing by a wall, so she turned and hit her head on it. (Not to hard but not soft.) Ava was know ready to face them.
"I-I never said that." Was all she could say. Finn winked at her. She died on the inside. She opened and closed her mouth a few times thinking of what to say.
"So is he your boyfriend or not?" Clarke asked. Ava zoned out and didn't hear her or see that Finn put an arm around her.
"Yes. We are something of an item." Finn said. Ava snapped back to reality.
"What?" She looked at him. He laughed at her voice crack and confused face.
"I'm kidding." He said.
"Sure you are." Octavia said. Clarke nodded. Clarke walked off and Finn followed.
"What the hell Octavia!" Ava said quietly so only Octavia could hear. Ava started playfully hitting Octavia's arm.
"Forgot one thing." Finn said walking back to you. He kissed Ava's cheek, her cheeks turned red. He chuckled and went back to Clarke.
"I need to lay down." Ava said. Octavia was laughing her ass off, she holding her stomach and holding Ava's shoulder.
"You poor fool." She said before laughing more.
"I'm going to bed. You coming?" Ava asked
"Yeah, I'm coming" Octavia finished laughing. The two girls were walking out of the dropship. But Ava turned to see Finn, he looked at her and winked. Her face turned red again. He smiled. The two girls reached their tent. They got into their p.j's, their backs to eachother.
"Goodnight Ava." Octavia said wiggling in her make shift bed.
"Night." Ava respond.
So many questions flooded the girls mind. Questions she had no answers too. There was one thing she was certain about and that was, that she was going to get closer to him...
