Day 4
If I could have one wish it would be to redo it all. Actually do everything right, but life doesn't work like that. So now I get to sit in my regrets. Alone.
Narrator's POV.
"Ava. Ava. Wake up. Are you ok? Ava!" Octavia said to her friend who had stopped breathing in her sleep.
"*Gasp* wh-whats going on?" Ava asked, Octavia let a sigh of relief out.
"I thought you died. You just stopped breathing." She said. Sitting on Ava's bed.
"Oh, that happens sometimes. I'm fine." Ava said standing up. "Let's get something to eat. I'm haven't eaten anything since we got here." Ava reached for Octavia's hand, but Octavia stood up to yell.
"You haven't eaten anything?! What the hell! Let's go hunting then, because if Bellamy finds out you only eat once a blue moon, he's gonna yell at you, then kill you." Octavia said walking out of the tent. Ava quickly got dressed (picture above.) And left her tent. Octavia was talking with Clarke and Bellamy.
Ava's POV.
"Hey." Finn popped up out of thin air.
"Hey." I said with a side smile. I was too focused on food, that I didn't hear him talking or Bellamy yelling at me.
"AVA! ARE YOU LISTENING?!" Bellamy was pissed off, which brought me back to reality.
"What? Oh sorry no I wasn't listening." I said hoping he will have mercy on me.
"What's going on in your head? You never seem like you're here. Like you're mentally in a different place." Bellamy said. Clarke, Octavia and Finn nodded in agreement.
"I haven't eaten anything since we got here. This is a new place and a new beginning for us, I'm sorry I want to explore." I said sliding my hands in the pockets of my jeans.
"You haven't eaten anything?!" Clarke and Bellamy said at the same time. 'They would make a cute couple. Maybe they'll name a kid after me.'
"Ava! Earth to Ava." Octavia was waving her hand in my face. I slapped her hand.
"Hi." I said back. Finn smiled, which made me smile
"Stop zoning out!" Octavia said.
"What? Oh... Uhmm...ok... I try." I said. I noticed that Bellamy and Clarke were gone. 'Probably going to make babies to name after me.'
"Can we go?" Octavia said taking my hand, dragging me to the woods.
"What?" I asked. 'Why was I zoning out so much?' I looked behind me and sure enough, Finn was walking right there. I smiled at him, he smiled back lowering his head to look at the ground.
30 minutes later.
"Shit." Octavia said stopping making my bump into her.
"What?" Finn said.
"I forget my knife. Do you have one?" She asked him. Which was weird cause she knows I have one, always on me or maybe she didn't?
"I have one." I say. Pulling the knife out. By the shocked expression on their faces I knew, nether of them knew. Maybe because it was six inches, black handle and sharp beauty.
"Wow." Finn said.
"But you can't fight." Octavia said. I looked at her and said.
"Watch me." We looked for an animal for about fifteen minutes, then we spotted a boar. I flipped the knife so the blade was in my palm. I threw the knife and it hit the boar in the neck. I walked over to it, pulled the knife out and stabbed it's head. They both were very shocked to see what I could do. I took my leather jacket off and through it at Octavia. I then picked the boar up on my shoulders.
"How? You're so small and quiet... How?" Octavia said finally coming back to reality. Finn, Finn was just standing there.
"Well, when your Marcus Kane's daughter you learn a thing or two." I said walking past them.
Back at camp.
"Wow. Who caught the boar?" Bellamy said walking up to Octavia. The sun was coming close to setting.
"Ava did. With a knife, she through." She responded. I walked over to John and plopped the boar in front of him.
"Enjoy." I said walking away. My knife was all bloody, so I thought maybe I should clean it.
"I'll be back." I whispered to Octavia, she nodded. I began my walk to the pond. It was dark enough to see the fireflies, light enough to see my way through the trees. I sat on a beast of a rock and gazed at the pond. I placed a small piece of my shirt in the water, cleaning the blood off my knife. I heard a stick break behind me. I stopped. I was gonna get ready and stab, but it might be Finn or Octavia.
"You're right, it is better at night." Finn said sitting on a rock next to me. 'Ha, I was right.'
"Yeah, what are you doing out here so late?" I asked returning to cleaning my knife.
"I got bored, thought I'd come hang out with you." He said. I finish cleaning my knife, and place it in my secret jacket department. I looked over to him, he was staring at me.
"I see, so what's your thing with Clarke are you guys together? I kinda ship her with Bellamy." I said, he laughed at me.
"No, I'm not with Clarke, by the way she and Bellamy will never get together." He said.
"Yes they will. Patience, they will get together in the future." He moved closer to me. 'Why was he doing that?'
"Sure they will." He said. 'I can't believe this, how dare he not ship them.'
"They wi-" he cut me off by a kiss. 'HE KISSED ME!?" Obviously I kissed back. I moved my hand to the side of his face, my other in his hair. His hand on my rock, his other on the nape of me neck. We pulled apart, my hand still in his hair.
"Well that happened."I said, he laughed at me, again.
"Yeah, I've wanted to that for awhile." He said moving back to his rock, making my hand leave his hair. I moved closer so I could play with his hair.
"How the fuck is your so soft, like what kind of sorcery do you use?" I said messing his hair up.
"I was cursed, so now no one can resist my hair." I laughed at him. We sat there talking, me playing with his hair of course. We talked for about an hour before walking back to camp.
"Ava, I need to talk to you." Octavia said. Running up to Finn and I.
"Ok, bye Finn." I said, looking at him.
"Bye." He walked over to a small group of people. Octavia dragged me to our tent.
"What happened?" She said, we both sat on our beds.
"He kissed me." I said.
"OH MY GOD!! REALLY?!" I nodded. "DID YOU KISS BACK?!"
"Yeah, I kissed back." I couldn't stop the feeling of butterflies in my stomach and a smile on my face.
1 hour later. Narrator's POV.
The girls fell asleep, the night came to a halt as everyone else went to bed. Tonight was a very important night for Ava, it was the one night she didn't think of her sister.
When night falls the fireflies come, they light up the sky. One by one they light like stars falling to the earth, soaring through the trees. Today a girl showed her true colors, but what would happen if she lost herself? Would she stay loner girl Or turn to the warrior?
