The day for the practical exam had finally arrived. Many of the students looked forward to it after the written exam a few days ago. To the suprise ofe the students, they were greeted by all the teachers. They were about to ask the teachers why almost all of them were there, but stopped when Nedzu popped out of Aizawa's capturing gear.
"It is I, the principal!" the small white fured animal said with excitment. "You probably have heard about the practical exam from the older students. Haven't you?" He asked. "Yes, it's just like the entrance exam. Smashing robots right?" Kirishima said with an excited voice. "It's true that it used to just be a fight with the faux villains. But due to the recent rise of the league of villains we have decided to change the exam. You will be paired up and fight us teachers!" The small animal announced. "WE'LL FIGHT YOU!?" The entire class shoted. "Yes you will be fighting us" Aizawa said.
Aizawa started listing up the pairs and who they would be fighting. Eventually only Izuku and Bakugo remained. They then saw the figure of All Might coming down from above and making a superhero landing. "Young Bakugo and Midoriya, you will be fighting ME!" All Might announced and looked down on his two students. Izuku was having an internal muttering rant 'How can I defeat him!? Even with my equipment I'm slower, weaker and he has years of experience. There is only one thing I can do better than him, but how do I use that?" He thought to himself. "We teacher will be using these compressed weights made by the support department that will serve as a handicap" Aizawa said as the teachers started puttig on the weights on their arms and legs. When All Might took on his weights his arms dropped a bit beacuse of the unexpected weight. "Now get to your assigned areas. You will get the time to prepare and make a plan" Aizawa said and the students and teachers started to head towards their areas.
Izuku's and Bakugo's walk was filled with an uncomfortable silence that lasted all the way to the place of their exam. "Kacchan, we need a plan if we-" Izuku tried saying carefully "Shut up Deku!" Bakugo snarled back. "No, you shut up!" Izuku snapped back at Bakugo with anger that surprised the explosive teen. "I am so tired of the way you treat me! The way you treat everyone! Why? Why are you like this!?" Izuku shouted at Bakugo who just stood there silent. "Come on answer me! It's the least you can do after all those years" Izuku said again. "You never give up!" Bakugo snapped at Izuku "Thats why. You NEVER give up! You keep standing in my way and look down on me. Then I push you away and you just keep climbing back up! It pisses me off!" Bakugo yelled and aimed an explosion towards a tree. "And at the sports festival I... lost. I lost to the one I have always looked at as pebble in my path. Why can't you just leave me alone? I'm supposed to be number number one! I have the quirk!"
Izuku stood silent, trying to formulate a response. "Kacchan" He said carefully. "WHAT!" Bakugo yelled and turned away from the knocked over tree and back to Izuku. "I never looked down on you" Izuku said to his childhood friend. Bakugo stood with a confused look when Izuku continued with his response "I never looked down on you. You can't move forward if you keep looking down on people. If you want to rise higher then you have to look up at people, which is what I did. I'm quirkless so I couldn't be born powerful. I had to make my own path if I wanted to do anything. I idolized All Might of course, but you were the one that was the closest and you had power. I looked up to you as the thing I could never have, but always wanted. Just take the number one spot, I can't have it anyways. I'll be lucky if I ever get into the top fifty, not to mention the top ten, but the number one spot is something I could never reach. The only reason I keep trying to reach it is so that I will always do my best. I'm sorry if you thought I stood in your way or looked down on you. I just hope we can get past that and do our best to make eachother go all out. What do you say?" Izuku said and extanded is hand for a handshake with a big smile on his face.
Bakugo was thinking about what he just heard. "You never looked down on me?" he muttered to himself. "Ok" Bakugo said and took Izuku's hand. "Let's keep pushing eachother forwards. Now, do you have a plan?" Bakugo said with a small smile himself. "Well we have one advantedge over All Might. He can't manuever in the air as well as we can. And I also think he has a weak spot" Izuku responded with a small smirk.
"THE EXAM HAS BEGUN" a robotic announcer said over the speakers. Izuku and Bakugo walked down the mainstreet. Izuku was using his goggles to enhance his vision. They walked for a short while before Izuku saw a whirlwhind of destruction heading towards them in the distance. "Get behind me!" he yelled and put up his shield. Bakugo got behind his childhood friend just in time. The windpressure caused alot of damage to the surrounding buildings, but Izuku and Bakugo remained unharmed. "I'm a villain! Why would I care about this city!" All Might said as he emerged from the chaos, facing the two students.
Izuku and Bakugo immediatly started their plan and launched forwards towards the symbol of peace. All Might jumped towards them at an even faster speed, but they dodged him midair. When All Might turned around he saw Izuku coming towards him from the right. "To slow young Midori-" He said as he grabbed Izuku, but his hand went straight through him. "A projection?" All Might said confused. "Wrong target old man!" Bakugo yelled as he aimed his gauntlet right at All Mights injury and fired. Bakugo didn't have time to stop and turned around heading towards his teammate that was heading towards the exit.
Meanwhile All Might was clutching the left side of his abdomen, coughing up some blood. 'Did Midoriya tell Bakugo of the injury?' He thought to himself before standing back up. He then went full speed towards his students. When he reached them they started out maneuver him midair. All Might got tired of it and jumped towards Bakugo at an immense speed. He managed to grab him and destroy his gauntlet. 'Where did the other go?' All Might wondered. He quickly got his answer when a massive explosion hit his back, making him loose Bakugo. "You have learned to cooperate haven't you" All Might said to the two as they ran away.
Izuku and Bakugo didn't have a long break since All Might reached them in a few seconds. This time the pro hero destroyed the other gauntlet before it could be used against him again. "Not this time" he said and punched Bakugo staright into a wall. He then changed his attention towards Izuku and attacked him. Izuku deperatly tried using his shields to block the punches. For each punch the shield got more and more deformed. Eventually Izuku had to throw on away then the other.
The next punch Izuku was forced to grab with his exosceleton. A second punch came towards him which he blocked with his other arm. Izuku was now being pushed backwards, away from the exit. After several meters Izuku managed to dig into the ground and stopping All Might. A small wave of air wa realeased when the two stopped. All Might kept increasing his power making the concrete crack up under their feet and pushing Izuku's feet into the ground. The exosceleton could no longer hold up against the pressure and started to bend. The part of the exosceleton covering the hands broke, making Izuku let out a yell of pain. "What will you do Midoriya, when you face a power you can't overcome?" All Might asked as he destroyed the exoskeleton. "I will keep on smiling. So that I can make people feel safe, no matter what!" Izuku responded and he looked up at All Might with a smile mirroring the one the hero used himself.
The exoskeleton was just about to completely fall apart when Bakugo came out of the blue and made an explosion staright in the face of All Might. "Run Deku! Get to the exit!" he yelled and kept barraging the hero with explosions. Izuku released himself from the exoskeleton and went towards the exit as fast as he could. Meanwhile Bakugo was also trying to move towards the exit, but hd to keep All Might at bay. He kept using explosions so powerful that they hurt him. Eventually All Might got the upper hand and punched Bakugo straight into the ground and knocking him unconscious at the same time.
Izuku was about to leave through the exit when he saw All Might holding his unconscious childhoodfriend. He immediatly turned and headed towards All Might, not wanting to leave Bakugo behind. "Never leave someone behind!" He said and punched All Might across the face with his staff. All Might tried grabbing him, but he had already disappeared. All Might then got a powerful blow to the back of his head and once again Izuku had disappeared out of sight before the number one hero could do anything. Izuku kept going in and out, attacking faster than his opponent could react. He used all of his equipment to gain an even greater advantage.
Eventually All Might was kicked into the ground and before he could get up he was pinned down with a net and covered in capture foam. Then he felt electricity going through his body. It took him a few seconds to get out of it. When he got out he immediatly went for Izuku and Bakugo. Izuku was traveling at a speed rivaling Gran Torino. All Might tried casing them, but they changed direction at an inhuman speed. He also noticed something else, whenever Izuku shot out a tether it wouldn't do anything to the enviroment. To late did All Might realise it was a projection and looked back just in time to see the duo go through the exit. "TEAM MIDORIYA AND BAKUGO HAS PASSED" The robot voice announced. "You got me good Midoriya. You got me good" All Might said to himself as he saw Izuku pass out on the other side of the exit.
Later in recovery girl's office All Might got scolded. "What did you do to these two!? Bakugo has broken ribs and Midoriya has a broken wrist and severe damage in his hands. You are lucky that Midoriya will only get away with some light scarring on his hands and wrists" Recovery said angrily to the symbol of peace. "I'm sorry, but I couldn't make it too easy for them" He said, trying to defend his actions. "One thing is giving a challenge. It's a completely different thing to destroy them in the process. Although, it seems they have put aside their disagrements and changed whatever realationship they had before for something better" she replied. "They apparantly were friends when they were young so it's good to see them treat eachother with respect" All might said looking at the two heros in training.
Later in the day Izuku and Bakugo was released from the infirmary and left the school along with the rest of the class. "So you managed to win against All Might. That's impressive" Iida said to Izuku. "We didn't win, we just managed to get past him and I couldn't have done it without Kacchan" Izuku replied. "So you managed to work with him?" Ochako asked. "Yes. Needed to talk with him for a bit, but I think we can become friends again. Although, I think he would prefer friendly rivals" Izuku replied. "That's good to hear Midoriya. By the way, would you like to go out and get something to eat? As a celebrtion for passing the exam" Iida asked. "Yes of course" Izuku and Ochako replied. "Hey, Kacchan do you want to go get a bite with me Iida and Ochako?" Izuku suddenly asked Bakugo who was walking a few meters behind them. "Sure" he replied, making Iida and Ochako stand still in shock over their classmates unusual behavior. Bakugo walked up to Izuku, walking by the still shocked Iida and Ochako. "Hey! Are you gonna stand there all day, I'm hungry!" The two got out of their trance and walked up to Izuku and Bakugo who was having a fierce debate over who would win between Todoroki and Bakugo. Iida and Ochako shared a confused look over how the two now treated eachother.
