"Exactly why did you decide to recommend me to Sir Nighteye again?" Izuku asked Mirio as they walked through the building of the aforementioned hero. "He actually wanted me to introduce you to him after my battle with your class. I told him that out of everyone in your class, only you made predictions based on my actions and that is something Sir wants from people" Mirio replied. "I see" Izuku said. "Oh, and All Might also asked me to recommend you" Mirio mentioned like it was the least important thing. "All Might asked you!?" Izuku asked, more out of shock that Toshinori didn't tell him. "Yeah, and he was all serious about. I think he really wants you to succeed" Mirio answered. "Oh, and one more thing" Mirio said as they stopped in front of the door to Sir Nighteye's office. "He may not seem like it, but Sir appreciates humour. If you want the internship, you need to make him laugh at least once" Mirio quickly said and pushed Izuku inside the room. "Good luck!" he said and closed the door.

Izuku's eyes looked around the room he suddenly found himself in. The was immediately one thing he noticed. The room was covered in All Might merchandise. Not as much as Izuku used to have, but still more than the average fan. "Please, sit down" A voice said from behind a desk. "Or are just going to stay there all day" The man said in a serious voice. Izuku sat down at the other side of the desk, slightly nervous looking at the former sidekick of All Might, Sir Nighteye. "So, Izuku Midoriya, star student at UA and quirkless" The pro hero stated. "W-well I wouldn't call myself a star-" Izuku tried to say but was stopped by Sir Nighteye. "You won the sports festival, survived the Hero Killer, passed in an exam against All Might and defeated the villain Muscular. All of this while quirkless" He said, putting emphasis on the last word. "You somehow even managed to become Toshinori's first choice as his successor" He added with some venom in his words. Izuku didn't reply.

"As I said. Star student at UA and quirkless" Sir Nighteye stated after Izuku didn't reply. "Now, over to why you are here. What are your thoughts on Mirio?" He asked. "Well he definitely has a similar charisma to what Toshinori had when he was All Might. And from what I have seen he wants to be a hero for all the right reasons. But I can't make the decision yet" Izuku answered. "Why not? Can't you just tell Toshinori that Mirio is the right choice, he gets one for all and I let you keep your internship. Or maybe you want one for all all for yourself?" Sir Night asked critically. "No! Of course I don't want it! I spent years waiting for, just dreaming for that a quirk would magically appear. And when I was finally offered one, I had changed. I know it is important that one for all is passed down, but I made a promise to Toshinori. I have to see Mirio do a pure act of heroism. I don't doubt he would do such a thing, but I promised that I have to see him do it. Until then, we will just have to wait" Izuku explained. "Then we will just have to do as planned. I give you an internship at my agency so that you can see Mirio in action. When you see him do anything that would qualify as a heroic act, you tell Toshinori. Mirio gets one for all, you will have an internship, and everyone will be happy" Sir Nighteye said. "Deal?" He asked. "Deal" Izuku replied. "Well then, welcome to my agency. You will be contacted when you need to go on a patrol or other things. That's all" Sir Nighteye said and showed Izuku to the door.

It very quickly became clear to Izuku that Sir Nighteye desperately wanted Mirio to have one for all. Just the day after accepting the internship, Izuku was put on a patrol with Mirio, same the next day, and the next day and the day after that. The only exceptions was during the weekends, every other day besides that was patrol. Some times there would be a small incident that they were called in for, and more often than not, Izuku would be sent to deal with it alongside Mirio. Much to Sir Nighteye's dismay, nothing would happen that allowed Mirio to truly show himself. In fact, nothing really happened at all, until one day.

Izuku and Mirio was patrolling as usual when a little girl ran out of an alleyway and into Izuku and fell back. She had white hair and a single horn on the right side on her head, she couldn't be older than six. She had simple white clothes and her arms and legs were covered in bandages. "Are you okay? That must have hurt" Izuku asked the frightened little girl. "There you are Eri" A man said as he came out of the same alleyway. The most notable thing with the man was the plague doctor like bird beak he had over his mouth. Eri backed away from the man and grabbed onto Izuku. Izuku could feel her shaking, he also noticed that Mirio had gotten a much more serious expression.

"I'm sorry for the inconvenience heroes. She sometimes just runs away. Come now Eri" The mysterious man explains with a deadly coldness in his voice. "Are you her father? She seemed very scared" Izuku asked, trying to get out some more information. "I'm taking care of her. I just scolded her for something she did. Give her an we can keep going on with our day" The man answered in the same voice as before. "I don't know. She has a lot of bandages, maybe we should take her to a hospital" Izuku said as he got ready to protect the girl. He knew there was something else going on and he could see Mirio getting ready to fight. "Eri is just clumsy, so she ends up getting a few bruises. I assure you it's alright" The man insisted, with more impatience this time. "These look a lot worse than normal bruises to me" Izuku said as he carefully grabbed one of Eri's arms. The little girl winced at the touch. The man then turned around and started slowly taking of one of his gloves. "Come now Eri. We wouldn't want anything to happen now" He said with a threatening voice. Before Izuku could react Eri ran to the unknown man and walked away with him. "So you finally came to your senses. I'm sorry for the inconvenience heroes" The man said and walked back into the shadows with Eri. Izuku was about to run after them when Mirio stopped him. "That man was Overhaul. The leader of a yakuza group Sir is investigating. They are called the eight precepts of death and have ties to the league of villains" He explained. "But we can't leave that girl alone with them!" Izuku protested. "I know, it's not ideal. But if we go after them now things could become worse" Mirio said with a regretful look. Izuku didn't respond. "Let's go back to the agency. I think this was enough for today" Mirio said and they began walking back.

Luckily for Izuku's conscience, the investigation went fast from there. Sir Nighteye bumped into one of the yakuza members which allowed him to see into the yakuza's future using his quirk. This allowed him to get a very rough idea of the layout their base. Around the same time Kirishima and Amajiki, under the internship of Fatgum, found a villain with drugs from the Eight precepts. Amajiki was injected with one of them and lost his quirk for several hours. The rest of the quirk removing drug was found to contain human blood and DNA, presumably Eri's. This led to her rescue becoming a top priority. After a debriefing, a team was put together, ready to raid the yakuza hideout. The team consisted of Izuku, Mirio, Sir Nighteye, Kirishima, Amajiki, Fatgum, Ochako, Tsuyu, Hadou, Ryukyu and Aizawa along with the police. After the debriefing, people went back to what they were doing or in the UA students case, back to the dorms.

"There is one thing I want to say about tomorrow" Aizawa told his students once they entered the walls of UA. "What is it?" They asked. "Tomorrow I won't be your teacher. I'll just be a fellow hero. I will view you as such and I want you to do the same. If some of you decide that you don't want to follow through, you won't be punished. There is no shame in walking away, you are still in training after all" He explained. "I have to do this, for Eri. I can't walk away from someone in need" Izuku answered almost immediately. "Midoriya is right, it's not manly to leave a child alone with such people" Kirishima followed up. "I'll follow Izuku anywhere" Ochako said. "And I'll follow Ochako" Tsuyu added. "I see. There is still time to change your mind. Now, get back to the dorms, it's almost curfew" Aizawa said. "Except Izuku, there are some things I would like to discuss" Aizawa quickly added.

Aizawa and Izuku kept walking around the campus until they were alone, before Aizawa said anything. "Do you remember what I said to you the first time we met?" He asked. "Yes, of course. You told me I could become a hero when no one else did. It was the best moment of my life up until then" Izuku replied. "Well, I was wrong" Aizawa stated. "WHAT!?" Izuku exclaimed. "I-I have done everything I could since then. How can you-" "Calm down problem child and let me explain" Aizawa said, stopping Izuku's rambling. "You will become a hero, I wasn't wrong in that. I was wrong regarding what kind of hero I thought you could be. Back then I was just imagining you becoming an average hero. Being invited to a few interviews, a small fanclub, some t-shirts and maybe a small article in a magazine every now and again" Aizawa explained. "Now though" He said and stopped moving and looked down on Izuku. "I think you can become a great hero, if not one of the greatest to ever live" He said with a genuine smile.

Izuku just stood there stunned by what his teacher told him. "I don't know what to say" He said. "You don't have to. And don't start crying like the first time we met" Aizawa said, back to his usual self. "Thank you" Izuku almost whispered. "Don't thank me. Now get back to the dorms before I have to punish you for staying out past curfew" Aizawa said. "Yes sir" Izuku replied and started running back to the dorms. "Problem child" Aizawa muttered to himself as he saw Izuku running away.
