As normal, I own nothing.

First Person

Miku's pov

I stumble out of my room, still groggy from waking up. I look at the clock. Seeing that it's 5:00 in the morning, I decide to just stay awake. Walking to the kitchen, I take time to analyze my surroundings. This place is new. It's a little home the vocaloids built into a computer somewhere near the site for this 'comic-con'. I've heard of it, but never been to one so i don't really know what to expect. Either way, we decided to just establish a somewhat 'base camp' near the event location for ease.

I enter the kitchen to see that some others are already there. Len and Lily are already eating breakfast, Len looking just as bad as me and Lily humming her own little tune surprisingly peppy this morning.

"Hey guys," I offer as a weak greeting. As soon as I sit in an open chair, my head hits the table.

"You look out of it. Not sleep well?" Was the annoyingly peppy response from Lily.

"No, I didn't. How are you so energetic? You normally aren't a morning person."

"That's probably because I've been up for several hours now. Went out and explored the town last night. Hit up some parties and got home just a couple hours ago."

I should've expected that. Lily does like to go out and find clubs and parties wherever we go. I look over to Len, and by look I mean slightly angle my head to look at him from its place on the table. He's in the same position as I am, but I'm not that surprised. He's been like this since Rin went on her mission. It gets like this whenever they are apart for too long. They share a room because it is easier for them to sleep in each other's presence. Luckily, Len will be his normal self soon, it's just during breakfast hours he is basically dead.

Normally it isn't this bad though. At a matter of fact, Rin being gone is putting a toll on all of us right now. Not for the fact she isn't here, but more of the fact that she hasn't answered or called us. We can't even locate her. We can tell she is still alive, part of the vocaloid getup has a sensor that scans how much electricity we have within ourselves. It is a recent edition and it allows us to monitor each other's vitality. To work it has to be a part of the clothes the vocaloid is wearing, not the vocalizer like everything else. It is a recent advancement we've made, and the viruses don't yet know about it. It's because of that that we can see that she is alive, we just can't reach her. So all we know is that something must have happened, we are assuming something happened to her vocalizer.

We are all holding onto the hope that she approaches us at comic-con.

But I digress, comic-con starts tomorrow, so for now it's best to prepare and put it out of my mind. Easier said than done, but I will try.

Today we have a rehearsal. We made contact with some scientists that continued the vocaloid project. It turns out that the people that died on the day so long ago weren't the only ones on the project. We escaped and disappeared, so the project was on hold. But they contacted us one day and after a while we agreed to let them continue. They now act as our main liaison between the real world and the digital one. This rehearsal is one of them pretending to program our dance moves while we actually practice our performance.

It's a simple ruse, he sits at a computer connected to the hologram screen they use at our concerts (the world doesn't know we are living and can materialize in the real world after all) and acts like he is running a premade performance. We generally just do our thing but occasionally he has to do something to seem like he is actually doing his job. Honestly this is just to see if the screen is big enough or if we need to reorder or compress ourselves to fit easier, so it should be over quickly. That thought is the only thing driving me as I get ready.

As we were sitting at the table slowly eating, more people woke up and soon we had a full table. We agreed who would go to this rehearsal, as only some of us really need to go to do a screen check, and those who were going went to their rooms to get ready. I really didn't want to go today, but unfortunately I drew one of the short straws.

The three who drew the short straws were me, Luka, and Meiko. Seems like it's gonna be a girls night, maybe it'll turn out alright and I won't be bored out of my mind. I finished upp getting ready first, and Meiko and Luka shortly followed. Getting to the computer is by no means a difficult task. As Vocaloids, we can travel through the internet as data, uploading and downloading ourselves from our home to the computer used for the show. All in all, it only took a few minutes to find our way to the screen check.

The only problem with getting here so fast meant that scientist acting like he is testing everything isn't prepared and we can't go out yet. So the three of us are just sitting here. I sit down and lean back on a wall in the room we prepared for a situation like this, though I know that I probably won't be able to get any sleep.

"So Miku, how was the date?" I hear the teasing voice of Luka call out. Looks like I wont get any sleep at all.
