Over the next two weeks Isabelle and Randy talked regularly. Even if it was just for a few minutes. It was early in the morning. Isabelle was in her hotel room. She was about to go down to the hotel gym when her cell phone rang.
"Hello?" She said.
"Hi baby." Stephen said.
"Hi."
"Good morning."
"Good morning."
"What are you doing?"
"Going to the gym." "You getting ready for work?"
"Yeah." "I just wanted to hear your voice." "I miss you so much."
"I miss you to."
"I have to go but have a good day."
"You to."
"I love you."
"I love you too." "Bye."
"Bye."
Isabelle went down to the hotel gym. Randy and others were there.
"Hi Isabelle." Randy said when he saw her
"Hi Randy."
"How are you today?"
"Good." "You?"
"Can't complain."
Isabelle was working out. Randy could see her from where he was.
"Fuck she's so beautiful." He thought. "Why does she have to be engaged?" "God those legs of hers." "I guess I'll never get to know what they taste like."
A little while later Isabelle turned around to go to a machine. She saw Randy lifting weights. He was all sweaty. She subconsciously started biting her lower lip.
"What the hell am I doing?" "I have Stephen." "Shame on you." She scolded herself.
Later that night after the show she stopped at an all night diner for some dinner. She ordered a cheeseburger, french fries and a chocolate milkshake. As she was waiting for her food she felt someone tap her on the shoulder. She looked up and saw Randy.
"Hi Randy." She said.
"Hi." "What are the chances?" "Can I join you?"
"Sure." He sat down in the booth across from her. "Come in for dinner?"
"Yeah." "I come here every time we're in town." "I love this place." "Plus I like supporting small businesses." The waitress brought Isabelle's food. Randy ordered his. "Your food looks good."
"Yeah but I'll regret the chocolate milkshake."
"What are you talking about?" "Your body is great."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome."
"I pulled in here because it reminded me of home."
"Where are you from?"
"Valley City, North Dakota."
"Have you always wanted to be a wrestler?'
"Since I was seven." "No one in my family supports it, only Stephen."
"Why doesn't your family support you?"
"They think it's a career choice that's going nowhere."
"Are they aware you work for a multi million dollar company?"
"Yeah." "Stephen helped pay for my wrestling school."
"What does he do?"
"He's in computer software."
"How long have you two been together?"
"Ten years."
"Ten years?" He confused. "That can't be right."
"It is." "We've been together since sixth grade, we were twelve."
"You didn't get engaged when you were twelve did you?" He said jokingly.
She laughed. "No." "He proposed to me right after we graduated high school." "Our parents weren't happy at first but we promised them we'd wait." "We've been engaged for four years."
"So you've never been with anyone else?"
"Nope." "Stephen's my first everything."
For the next several hours they shared stories about themselves and their childhoods.
"Jesus, it's two o'clock in the morning." She said looking at the clock on the wall.
"It is?" "It doesn't seem like we've been here that long."
"No it doesn't."
They went back to the hotel. Randy walked Isabelle to her door. They were standing outside the door.
"I'm glad we ran into each other tonight." Randy said. "I had a really good time."
"Me to." "Goodnight."
"Goodnight." She went inside. He went back to the elevator. Getting to know her made him want her even more.
