Author's Note: Thank you for the likes and comments so far! I really appreciate it! Here's how another set of roommates experienced the same day Kanemaru and Taku had in chapter 1.

Warnings: mentions of throwing up. If you want to skip over it, you can skip the part where Miyuki comes back to his dorm after breakfast and continue when the third years come to his room.

Miyuki's POV:

Kuramochi:

Oi Miyuki let's get breakfast together

We'll be at ur dorm in 3 minutes

"We?" I ask myself, looking at the text Kuramochi sent me a couple minutes ago. I don't have much time to ponder it, so I get out of bed and change into a comfortable shirt and put on my glasses. A moment later I hear a knock on the door. "Miyuki?"

I open the door to find Kuramochi and Nori on the other side. "Oi, keep it down. My roommates are asleep." I whisper to Kuramochi, knowing full well that Nori isn't the source of the noise at the hour.

"Good morning to you too, Sunshine." Kuramochi greets. "Ready for breakfast?"

"Just a moment. I need my hat." I tell the two before stepping back in my room.

Kimura starts to stir. "Huh?" He asks softly.

"Sorry about that. Kuramochi came by. It's like almost 8 so you can go back to sleep. I'm gonna go get breakfast so I'll see you later."

"Aye, aye, captain." He says before lying back down. I look towards our other roommate to see if he got woken up too. He's out cold. I grab my hat and room key from my desk, then I step out of the dorm.

"I ran into Kawakami on the way to get you. Shirasu's gonna meet us at the cafeteria." Kuramochi says. Nori nods in agreement while yawning. The two are still in pajamas and Nori has headphones around his neck.

"So, what's up that you decided to drag me along to breakfast?" I ask.

"We don't have practice today, so I know damn well that if we didn't do anything, you'd probably hole yourself up in your dorm all day reviewing scores from past games and preparing stuff for the pitchers." Kuramochi says bluntly.

-2 hours later-

"Hold on a moment, guys." I tell the third years as I scan the cafeteria. I see Kimura sitting with some of his classmates and I make my way towards them. Shirasu, Kuramochi, and Nori follow slightly behind me. "Hey Kimura, did Okumura make it to breakfast?"

"He was still out cold when I left." Kimura says.

"Thanks. I'll see you back at the dorm." I tell him.

"See you later, Miyuki-senpai."

I head back in the direction of the dorms with my friends. "Get your books and meet back at my room." I tell them. They give their acknowledgement and scatter.

I unlock my dorm and take off my shoes. "Okumura?" I ask softly. He's awake in his bed. "Hey kid, I know meals can be tough, but you need to get breakfast before it ends." I make my way towards him. Shit. He looks pale.

He shakes his head slightly. "Can't. Stomach hurts." Okumura mumbles.

"Hurts? In what way?" I ask.

"I don't feel well." He says.

"Do you mean like a lot of pain? Do you feel like you might be sick?" I ask my questions slowly as to not overwhelm him. "What do you need? Pain meds? Water?"

"Trash can." He cuts me off. I nod and grab our trash can, which luckily is lined with a bag.

After a moment he starts gagging. I pull his hair out of his face and rub his back gently as he's emptying the contents of his stomach. After a couple minutes, he stops. "Thank you." He says between deep breaths. I put my hand to his forehead and frown.

"You're burning up. Can I take your temperature?" I ask.

"Can I go brush my teeth first?" He asks.

"You good to go on your own?"

"I'm not a kid." He says.

"Technically, you are but I know what you mean."

"I'll be back in a few." He says before leaving with his toothbrush and toothpaste. I take this time to look for a thermometer and some cold medicine. I pause when I hear a knock on the door.

"Hey guys." I greet Shirasu, Kuramochi, and Nori. "Can we postpone our study session to during dinner? Okumura's not feeling well so I'm going to take care of him and make sure he's okay."

"Yeah. See you then." The group says, before heading back to their dorms.

"I'm back."

"Okay. I found the thermometer." I hand it to him. He sits down in bed and puts the thermometer under his tongue.

"Okay." I say after a few minutes. "May I see?" He takes out the thermometer and hands it to me. I read the temperature and frown.

"How bad is it?"

"38.8 degrees."

"Ugh."

"Yeah. Want something to bring down the fever?"

"Yes please."

I grab some cold medicine and pour it out into a paper cup for him. He frowns. "Cold medicine tastes gross."

"I may have something else that could help but this will be the most effective. Would you rather have to deal with the taste of cold medicine, have to swallow a pill, or deal with fever and throwing up again?"

"Fine. I'll take the cold medicine."

"I can get Kimura to bring back some orange juice if you'd like. That way you have something to chase it down with."

He nods. "That'd be nice."

I pull out my phone to text our other roommate.

Kimura:

Hey when you come back from breakfast can you pick up some orange juice from the vending machine?

I'll pay you back

Sure thing

Be back in a few

Kimura's text sends a wave of relief through me. "Kimura said he'll be back in a few minutes with juice. The medicine will help bring down your fever and settle your stomach, but it may make you feel tired. He nods in understanding. I hand him the medicine and he stares at it for about half a minute before drinking it.

"I'm back." Kimura announces as he comes in. "Here you go, Miyuki-senpai." He hands me a bottle of orange juice.

"Thank you, Kimura." I hand the bottle off to Okumura.

"Thank you, Kimura-senpai." He says. He opens the bottle and starts to drink it.

"Slow sips." I remind Okumura. He nods.

"Is he okay?" Kimura asks awkwardly.

"I'm sick." Okumura says.

"Anything I can do to help?" He asks.

I take a moment to thing. "The orange juice was a big help already. If you don't mind though. Could you fill this with cool water?" I hand Kimura a container. "I'm gonna change our trash bag." He nods. "We'll be back in a few minutes." We head out the dorm.

A few minutes later, I return with our trash can then I go to wash my hands. Kimura has the container of water and he also got a bottle of water from the vending machine. He set the two on Okumura's nightstand.

"Okumura, I'm going to dip this rag in water, wring it out, and place it on your forehead. That will also help bring down your fever."

"Okay." I do the things I told him I'd do. He sighs softly and a small smile appears on his face when I set the rag on his forehead. "It feels nice." He says.

"Good. If you need anything else, let us know." I tell him.

"Thank you, senpai." He says.

-1 hour later-

Okumura's currently asleep. Kimura and I are studying.

Knock. Knock. Knock.

"I'll get it." I tell Kimura.

I step out of the dorm and see Seto. "Good morning, Seto. What brings you here?" I ask him

"Good morning, captain." He greets me. "I was looking for Koushuu. I'm dyeing my hair today and I wanted to see if he wanted to help."

"He's in our dorm, but he's asleep right now." I tell him. "He wasn't feeling well last night, so I think he's just trying to sleep it off."

"That's a shame. Anything I can get to help him?" Seto offers.

"We have stuff here. Thank you for offering though."

"If he's feeling better, can you ask him if he'd like to help? And tell him I hope he gets well soon?"

"Sure thing, Seto."

"Thank you, Miyuki-senpai." He tells me before leaving.

I step back into my room. "That was Seto. He was looking for Okumura." I tell Kimura. He nods and goes back to studying.

-8 hours later-

"Shirasu, what do I do?" Kuramochi asks, in regards to our economics homework. "The only groceries I'll be able to afford are instant ramen."

"Let me take a look." Shirasu says as Kuramochi hands over the paper. I look at Kuramochi's budget plan as well. "Have you considered spending less money on video games?" He asks.

He lets out a laugh. "That's a good one, Shirasu." Once he stops laughing, he looks at Shirasu's face. "Wait are you serious? That's surviving life, not living it."

"Given how much you have spending on baseball equipment, you'll be able to live with a reduced video game budget." I point out.

"And if you buy used games, they'll be cheaper. Which means you can get the groceries you need." Shirasu points out. "Try to rework your budget with more focus on necessities, then you can spend whatever's left on personal stuff." Shirasu hands Kuramochi his paper back.

"How about you, Miyuki?" I hand him my budget plan and he starts reading. "Have Okumura review numbers with Sawamura while Yui catches for Furuya. Work on slider with Kawakami." He reads out loud. "Miyuki this is a pitcher and catcher training plan. Where's your economics homework?"

I search through my folder for the right paper. "My bad. I'll take that. Here's my actual budget." Shirasu stares at it for a minute. "Nice. Smart idea to set aside some money each month for emergency and some for an inconsistent investment in baseball gear. How about you, Nori?" Nori hands over his budget. Shirasu hums in approval before giving it back to Nori. Out of the corner of my eye, I notice that the lunch line has gotten significantly shorter. I excuse myself from the table to get myself some more food.

"You're really only on your second bowl?" Kuramochi asks after I return.

"I was helping look over your homework." I retort.

"So was Shirasu and he's halfway done his third bowl." Shirasu just shrugs and continues eating his rice.

"So anyways, what'd I miss?" I ask.

"Nori's work is good too."

"Does this mean we're done with homework?" Kuramochi asks.

"Yeah. By the way. How's Okumura doing?" Shirasu asks.

"He has a bit of a fever. I gave him some medicine to help bring it down and he's trying to sleep this off." I explain.

"Tell him I hope he gets well soon." Kawakami says. Shirasu nods in agreement.

"Sure thing." I tell them.

As dinner continues, we end up talking about baseball and video games. Since most people have gotten their third helping of dinner, the line is significantly smaller. "I'll be right back, guys." I head towards the line. When I make it to the front of the line, I start to fill a container up with rice to bring back to Okumura, as well as getting my third bowl of rice.

When I get back, the guys are still talking about video games. "And that's why video games should not have a year in their title." Kuramochi ends what I presume was a rant about dated video games.

"You bring up a fair point, but your argument invalidates any game that has to do with a historical event, such as the Mario and Sonic at the Olympics franchise." Shirasu retorts.

I take my seat and send Nori a glance that says 'what did I walk in on?' He fills me in on the ongoing debate and Kuramochi's firm opinion on the issue.

"And what if the Olympics no longer exist in the future?" Kuramochi asks Shirasu.

"But Nintendo still will?" He asks back.

"He's got a point." I say, flinging myself into the debate.

"Kuramochi does have a point about the representation of history in these games though. If you look at the Just Dance games, they started with the number in the franchise then around 2014 they switched to the year. If you look at the music the games have, the first few games had a wide variety of music but by the end of the decade, there is far less variety in the genres of music the games have." As Nori makes his case, Seto, Asada, Kuki, and Yui make their way to our table. They stand around awkwardly, likely waiting for Nori to finish talking because they don't want to interrupt him.

"Hi senpai." They greet.

"Good evening. Guys. How's it going?" I ask.

"It's okay. Could be better though." Asada says. "Thank you for asking Miyuki-senpai."

"Is there anything I can do to help?" I ask him.

"Well that's why we came over here. We heard from Seto that Okumura's sick today." Kuki starts. Seto nods in agreement.

"So, we decided to make him a get-well card." Yui continues. "We were wondering if you would be able to bring the card to him, since you're his roommate."

"Yeah, that'd be no problem." I tell the group. The first years thank me and hand me their card before going back to their table. I'm glad that the first years are so close to each other.

As dinner winds down, I finish my food. "Good night." I tell my friends before we split up to go to our dorms. On the way back, I stop by the vending machine to get some more orange juice for Okumura. "Okumura? I'm back?" I whisper after stepping into the dorm, just in case he's asleep.

"Huh?" He mumbles.

"You awake?" I ask him.

"Yeah."

"I have some stuff for you. Can I turn on the light?"

"Sure."

I turn on the light and make my way to his bed. "How are you feeling?" I ask.

"A bit better. I think my fever went down."

"That's good to hear. Do you think you can handle eating right now?"

He hesitates then nods. "I think so."

"Good. I brought you some rice and orange juice. Just eat what you can." I tell him. I set the container of rice and bottle of juice on his nightstand. "I also have this for you." I hand him the card. "Your friends in your year asked me to give this to you." He reads the card and smiles.

"I can't believe they did this. Even Masashi added something." He sets the card on his nightstand and looks at me. "Thank you." He says. He picks up the rice and some chopsticks and slowly starts eating. "For everything you've done today. I really appreciate it."

"It's no problem. Do what you can to get well soon, because you're not going to be allowed back to practice until you're well again."

He nods. "Okay." He says between bites of rice.

Author's Note: The act 2 first years are amazing and I love their friendship. Also had to give the current third years some appreciation. Next chapter we're shifting more focus to the OG first years. I have ideas for quite a few chapters and today I'm letting you guys choose which one I'll write next. I'll look at the comments at the end of the day tomorrow and see which one has the most comments saying people want them. Here's the options: 1. Furuya, Yui, and Ono have some roommate bonding that goes wrong, or 2. Furuya and Sawamura team up for a school project.
