Fair Warning to all purists as this is a mix of Sonic Underground and Sonic X crossed with Sailor Moon it will be AU. Don't like, don't read.

Prologue

Crown Princess Serenity V barely has time to comprehend the destruction raining down upon her home before she topples over the balcony she was standing upon, impaled by a piece of the palace grounds that had been dislodged in the fighting, Ginzuishou, I beseech of you, help me to escape the plans my mother has for me in my new life.

The Maboroshi no Ginzuishou flashes in response to this, unnoticed by the Queen. If the Ginzuishou could cackle maniacally it would, relishing in the chaos that would emerge by the time anyone realized that the princess had not been reincarnated with her courts and so called prince. Sending its Guardian to the world where the Master Emerald resided to be reincarnated was rather inspired on the Ginzuishou's part, and due to all the Chaos Energy the Time Gates would be unable to track down the missing princess.

Mobius:

A light purple furred hedgehog with a lavender colored muzzle and quills, and sapphire eyes can be found wearing a long sleeved cobalt blue t-shirt, black capris, black gloves with stripes the same shade of blue as the shirt, and tennis with white laces that were the same blue as her shirt and stripes on her gloves can be found exchanging anxious looks with an older male hedgehog as they wait on the older male's nephew, whom also happened to be Luna's boyfriend, to return. The male's fur had started to fade with age to a cadet blue. The female's name is Luna Moonrose, and her older male companion in waiting is Chuck, both members of the resistance against Dr. Ivo Robotnik. The Resistance had discovered that Robotnik had devised a forcefield to put up around all of his factories, he was testing it that day. Chuck's nephew Sonic was the only hope the Resistance had at taking the field down from the outside. Sonic had been gifted with superspeed, and if he could go fast enough he could tear through that damnable forcefield like it was paper.

Luna's head turns towards the entrance to their little base, where Sonic had been gifted with superspeed she had empathy. She makes it to the door just as Sonic does, and the blue hedgehog with peach colored arms along with the fur on his stomach and muzzle collapses into her. " So way beyond tired, Lu. "

" I need you to stay awake just until the couch, okay, Sonic. "

Exhausted dark brown eyes meet hers, and Sonic nods. " Ya did good, Sonny-boy. "

Sonic manages a weary smile in his uncle's direction, " Thanks, Unc. "

The exhausted fourteen year old, with Luna's help, manages to make it to the couch, and grabs her left wrist before she can walk away. Luna rolls her sapphire colored eyes, and sits on the couch. Sonic was out before his head touched her lap, Luna running her hands through his quills, " He's fine, Chuck, just exhausted. Nothing time and rest won't cure. "

" I need to join back up with the rest of the Resistance, you got him, Luna. " Chuck asks.

" Don't worry, he's in good hands, if need be I can share some of my own energy with him. Be careful. "

" As careful as I can be. " Chuck replies, and slips out once sure there was no one around.

Luna blinks when she can sense another presence not long after Chuck leaves, and her blue eyes widen when they see a Mobian wearing a purple cloak, " Relax, Luna, I am the Oracle of Delphius, I mean neither yourself nor Sonic any harm. I need to speak to Sonic though. "

Luna sighs at this, as she could sense no deception, " Can't what you need to speak to him about wait until he's rested? "

The Oracle looks at the purple hedgehog, " I'm afraid not, young Luna. I can revitalize him easily enough though. "

Power flows from the Oracle and into Sonic, causing the blue hedgehog to bolt up, and he barely catches himself from collapsing backwards, " I was just way past wiped out, so how am I wide awake? "

" That would be because of me, young Sonic. I am the Oracle of Delphius. "

Sonic looks at Luna and quirks an eyebrow to which Luna responds with a discreet thumbs up. " The what of who? "

By the time the Oracle is done explaining everything both teens are stunned speechless, though it didn't stop Sonic from eating the chili dogs the Oracle had conjured up, he had also conjured up some hot cocoa for Luna. Neither teen had been expecting Sonic to be one of the missing royals of R(M)obotropolis. Nor the news that he had two siblings out there as well. " Lu, toss me my guitar, please. "

Luna walks over to the guitar and tosses it to him, then leans back against the couch as she listens to Sonic play the song that was in his heart. Both of them are surprised when Sonic's medallion glows once the song ends, and Sonic holds his now free hand out to Luna, " You're coming with me. "

Not long after Luna and Sonic can be found at a club, unaware of the raids that Robotnik is performing at that very moment. Luna is sitting on the stage while Sonic is playing his guitar when a green hedgehog makes his way onto the stage, wanting to sit in, and he heads for the drums, and not long after a pink hedgehog leaps up onto the stage complimenting Sonic and the green hedgehog's playing even as she starts playing the piano. Luna was on her feet the instant the wall was blown open by SWAT bots, and was quick to wrap her arms around Sonic's neck. " Who are you guys? " the pink hedgehog asks.

" We're your brothers. " Sonic answers.

" We are? " the green one asks as Sonic zips around, grabbing the female's right wrist and the male's left wrist.

" I'll explain later, first I have to get us out of here. Meet us in the public square in two hours. You ready, Lu? "

" Do it to it, Sonic. " Luna replies.

Sonic races out with Luna and his siblings, once he drops his sibs off somewhere relatively safe he transfers Luna into a princess carry, and shoots off towards the next safe house on the list, only to find a coded message from the Resistance. The note drops from Sonic's fingers as shock and horror overcome him, " Buttnik got Uncle Chuck, Lu. "

Luna's blue eyes widen in horrified shock as well, and she doesn't resist when Sonic pulls her to himself, burying his head in her shoulder. She just runs her fingers through his quills, letting him have this moment of vulnerability. Sonic understood that they had very low odds of retrieving his uncle before he was roboticized. Luna keeps track of the time and she sighs, " We have to get going soon, Sonic. You have two very confused siblings to explain things to. Do a quick sweep of the house to see if there's anything useful here, and pack it up, especially medical supplies. "

Sonic's arms tighten around her briefly before he pulls away, then he was blur of motion, he comes to a stop in front of her with a back pack in his hands, " All I found was medical supplies. "

Luna takes the back pack and puts it on, " Don't bury your emotions too long, Sonic, or they'll blow up on you. "

Sonic sighs, and pulls her to himself again, running a hand through her quills, before scooping her up into his arms, " I know, Lu. "

They get to the town square at the same time as Sonic's siblings, and Sonic sets Luna on her feet, " Let me guess, Buttnik grabbed your foster parents? " Sonic asks them.

" How did you...Oh, where are my manners, my name's Sonia. "

The green one speaks up next, " I'm Manic. "

Sonic runs a hand through his quills, " I'm Sonic, and this is Luna. Both of us, along with my Uncle Chuck, are/were a part of the Resistance. A fellow Resistance member left a coded message for me at a safe house informing me Buttnik grabbed my uncle. Odds are good we're already too late to save them, any of them. " He then proceeds to explain what the Oracle of Delphius had told him.

Time seems to pass quickly after that, Manic and Sonic clicking immediately. Manic also made sure to get to know his brother's girlfriend, delighted to find a fellow empath. He may have grown up a thief, but he never poached another's girl. Not long after Robotnik's plot to kill Sonic and Manic through a virtual reality game Sonic, Sonia, and Luna are sent off on a mission with Manic running the distraction. Luna was to act as a look out for Sonia while she downloaded Robotnik's digital files while Sonic looked through the factory they were in for any hard copies as well as left timed charges throughout the place. It was only sensing a brief flash of murderous rage from behind herself that has Luna spinning around in time to have Sonia's hands wrap around her throat, sending both females to the floor. Sonia ends up straddling Luna as a result and she increases the pressure of her hands around Luna's throat. Luna's hands fly to her throat to try and pry Sonia's hands away. The pink hedgehog was just too strong, and Luna calls for help in the only way she can, reaching for Sonic with her empathy, and broadcasting her emotions towards him. Awareness fades away from her just as a ball of blue energy slams into Sonia, and she allows herself to go under, she was safe now.

Elsewhere in the factory Sonic stumbles as fear and desperation not his own wash over him, forcing him to turn a quick somersault to keep from face planting. He tears through the factory, moving faster than he ever had before, and as his dark brown eyes take in what is happening he curls himself into a ball mere moments before slamming into his sister. The pink hedgehog crashes into the wall behind her as her brother comes to a stop. Sonic kneels, without taking his eyes off of his sister to check his girlfriend's pulse, relief washing through him that he'd been fast enough, pure protective primal fury sweeping in soon enough. " Care to explain why I found you in the midst of attempted homicide, sis? " Sonic snarls it out, his quills flaring and sharpening in response to his emotions.

Sonia's own quills are looking rather sharp as she inwardly fumes, she had failed to factor in Luna's empathy when she crafted her plan for the purple hedgehog's demise to look accidental. Getting caught in the act by her brother had not been planned for, " Not particularly. Honestly you weren't supposed to be able to interfere, Sonic, but I failed to consider Luna's empathy when I came up with my plan to make her death look accidental. " Sonia activates her medallion, and once it takes it's blaster form fires it at Luna.

Sonic barely has time to throw himself in front of Luna, the blast stunning him. It was Luna squeezing his left wrist tightly, and holding her watch in front of his eyes that jolts him into action. Sonic scoops her up into a princess carry even as he bullets for the exit. He just barely clears the factory when the charges detonate, and he curls around Luna as the blast combined with his speed sends them tumbling. Once they've rolled to a stop, Sonic managing to end up on one knee, Luna still cradled in his arms, he heaves a sigh, silently apologizing to Manic for what he was about to do, and the blue hedgehog blasts away from R(M)obotropolis. He only stops when he finds a cave they can rest in. As he settles Luna on the cave's floor he hands her his medallion, knowing it would identify him as royalty faster than his looks, " I need you to keep this safe for me, Lu, okay? "

She squeezes his hand in affirmation before stowing his medallion in the black fanny pack Manic had gotten for her so she wouldn't have to lug a cumbersome back pack around to patch them all up. Sonic frowns and fights off his exhaustion for a little longer to see exactly how much damage his sister had done. There were already vivid hand shaped bruises forming around Luna's neck if you knew how to look for them, and he sighs, " I need the bruise cream, Lu. Though once we've rested I will be getting you to a doctor. "

Luna reaches into her fanny pack and pulls it out. Sonic props her up against his left leg as he gently applies the bruise cream. He knew she had to be as tired as he was if not more so, she'd nearly died. Once done with that he hands the cream back before running his hands gently along her head, just to make sure there were no lumps. He's not surprised when Luna's head lands on his left shoulder and nestles in. He takes the time to make sure all methods of tracking and communication they had on them were destroyed before finally allowing himself to crash. His peach colored arms wrap around the purple hedgehog sleeping against him, and he gets himself as comfortable as he can, keeping Luna's head on his shoulder. He went to sleep as Prince Sonic and woke up as Sonic, member of the Resistance.

Chapter 1

Luna huffs as she leans against the glass of the containment capsule she was in with Cream and Cheese, a young rabbit Mobian and her Chao. Thanks to nearly being strangled to death Luna was now mute. In response to this she had developed telepathy to go with her empathy, even though she had learned Sign Language too, I'm waaaaaaiiiiiiiting!

On his way to the base Sonic rolls his eyes, Just how long have you been wanting to use that line on me, Lu?

How long have I known you again?

Sonic chuckles under his breath at this, even as the motion activated lights click on, and the proximity alarms go off. Bots were also being mobilized as a perimeter defense in response to his approach. He knew Tails, his two tailed younger adoptive fox brother was up in the Tornado with Amy, a light pink hedgehog that generally wore a simple red dress, ready to back him up if he needed it. Almost there, Lu. What's his plan THIS time?

I'll let you listen in, you KNOW how much he loves to monologue.

Sonic rolls his eyes even as he easily dodges the gunfire and missiles that come his way, leaps on top of some bots, and uses the last one as a spring board into the base. He can feel Luna's amusement at the litany of swears he lets off mentally when he triggers a hidden spring trap, swears that increase when a bot's arm slams into him while he's in midair. He mentally cheers when he can hear Tails' shout his name over the roar of the Tornado. He catches the ring Tails fires towards him, and takes the time to trace the path of the Tornado's descent. He spin dashes through a large boulder in the likely landing path before rocketing back towards the base in his revised super spin. Now that he had assured his adoptive little bro was safe it was time to get his girlfriend, Cream, and Cheese.

He swears internally as he listens to Eggman's plan through Luna while making his way through the base. Since going through at the lower levels hadn't worked when one bot decides to try and smash him while he's still super spinning he decides to head up to the top of the tower, smashes a light while he's at it, and careens at one of his higher speeds through the base, and towards the three hostages. He smirks when he hears Cream's faith in him once outside the door, and waits for his cue super spinning in place. He super spins through the door once Eggman says he can't stop him, and Eggman trails off, " Sonic. " Eggman says in a resigned tone, then he perks up, and places the red chaos emerald in his energy amplifier, " You're too late, Sonic, you'll never stop me now. All I have to do is press this button. "

" Yeah, if you can press it before I grab it. " Sonic retorts.

Luna's gaze is focused behind Sonic, Incoming, Sonic.

Eggman's expression had looked defeated before he smirks maliciously, " I'd like to see you try. "

Sonic leaps up and over the bot spin dashing through it, before heading straight for Eggman. Eggman's hench bots Bocoe and Decoe activate the interior defenses which were homing lasers, forcing Sonic to dodge. His dodging options were also limited thanks to the fact that he didn't want Luna, Cream, and Cheese hurt. Luna, meanwhile, has picked up on someone with her empathy that she hadn't sensed in four years, Manic, get your ass in gear and help Sonic out already. I do not appreciate being a damsel in distress, dammit!

Up in the vents Manic nearly gives himself away, but years of being a thief kept him from making any noise. He silently drops down and frees the hostages, pulling them to the floor. He so wanted an explanation, but he knew it wasn't the time. He also knew his mother and sister would be pissed that he had decided to spy on Buttnik. They'd also be worried because he had left without a note. He did wonder why his bro was calling him Eggman though. Sonic is peripherally aware of the fact that someone had freed Luna, Cream, and Cheese so he decides to stop in front of Eggman, test his archrival's reflexes. He leaps away, landing near Luna, while Eggman hits the deck, the lasers hitting Eggman's latest machine. Sonic's green eyes widen when the white energy starts to spill out, he curls himself around Luna even as he sees the green hedgehog do the same for Cream and Cheese.

Manic, for his part, is stunned when his older brother shows no sign of recognition towards him even as Manic moves to protect the little girl and her companion. He really wanted to know what had happened four years ago. He had no more time to think as white light flashes over them, and unknown to those inside continues outwards. Tails had been working on fixing up the Tornado, knowing his big bro had ensured a safe landing for him and Amy before he super spun his way into the base to rescue Cream, Cheese, and Luna. The kit looks up and swears, quickly putting his tools away and stowing them in the Tornado, and diving into the cockpit while Amy Rose, and Knuckles, a red echidna were at the edge of a stream watching the havoc that was unique to Sonic and Eggman's battles unfold. Knuckles had been informed by Sonic that Eggman had kidnapped Cream, Cheese, and Luna. Why, Sonic hadn't known, and Knuckles had come just in case the cobalt hedgehog needed help.

Earth:

Sonic groans as his eyelids twitch while he regains his awareness, slowly sitting up and shaking his head. " I must have blacked out. " he mutters.

It was at about this time the sounds around him register along with the sights as well. His green eyes, turned that color thanks to the Chaos Emeralds, narrow as they take in everything even as he finds himself having to dodge a few vehicles because he had apparently landed in an intersection. Up on a nearby building ledge Luna is also waking up, and adrenaline jolts her awake when she stretches, and finds herself starting to fall. She barely manages to catch herself with her left arm, and winces when she can feel her shoulder jolt out of place. It was then she looks down, and her sapphire eyes widen. Just as a local law enforcement officer throws a net over Sonic the purple hedgehog can feel her grip slipping, Sonic, a little HELP would be appreciated!

On the car he was sitting on Sonic's green eyes widen, Lu, where…

Look up, genius! I would really appreciate NOT falling to either my death or serious injury, THANK YOU!

Sonic trains his gaze upwards and then swears under his breath, I need you to trust me, and let go. I promise I'll catch you, Lu. He then proceeds to dash off, the oncoming cop car being a help, allowing him to lose the humans that had tossed a net over him, and use the car as a springboard giving him just enough lift to catch Luna in his arms without losing any speed. He sprints off, making sure to keep just tight enough a grip on Luna. Where'd you end up anyhow?

On the ledge I was hanging off of. I stretch and then start falling while getting jolted fully awake with adrenaline. Not cool. Luna replies.

Sonic winces, waking up in an intersection was bad, on the ledge of a building up that high with no idea...he'd take the intersection. It was then he noticed Luna had her left arm cradled against her chest while her right was wrapped around his neck. He makes a note to check on that later, and after standing on a police car for a little bit with Luna still in his arms, he settles them on top of a street light, keeping them both balanced. " Looks like Chaos Control sent us here, Lu, the night time sky is the same at least. Do you think the others got sent here? "

Most likely, those that were at Ground Zero will probably arrive first. Luna replies as Sonic leaps down to the ground just in time for five aerodynamically designed vehicles to show up. One look was all Sonic needed to see that they were designed for speed.

" You're a hard hog to catch. " The male whom seemed to be the leader says as he gets out of his vehicle. Sonic listens to him, amusement growing when he realizes the human male was similar to him, longing for someone whom could actually give him a run for his money in the speed department.

Luna looks between Sonic and the human male, silently sighing. She rolls her eyes as Sonic plays with the other four humans that had come with, chasing them. At one point Sonic even started running backwards in front of them while maintaining his speed. That was when the first human's vehicle emerges from the center that the other four cleared out, and Sonic has to move exceptionally quickly to get out of the way. Then the human male's vehicle pulls ahead, and Sonic, never being one to turn down a challenge blazes forward, breaking the sound barrier at the same time. He frowns when the human brakes until he notices they were running out of road. Now that just irritated him, he was not going to accept a win by default, dammit. There would be a rematch.

His wake causes the fans of the wind farm he flies over with Luna to spin faster, " This place isn't so bad. At least I finally found a true rival when it comes to speed. "

Luna was the first to notice their momentum slowing to a stop, and then she looks down. She then proceeds to internally recite every single swear she had picked up from Manic, directly below them was a pool, Sonic couldn't swim, and due to her shoulder she can't. Right about then was when Sonic noticed their predicament, " A pool, uh-oh. "

Luna keeps herself relaxed, and inhales just before they hit the water. Stay calm, someone had to have heard our entrance into the pool.

Sonic curses internally, making sure to hold his breath when he realizes Luna's left shoulder was hurt, and she couldn't swim at the moment. Just as their air is about to run out someone dives into the pool and pulls them both out. Both hedgehogs gasp for breath as their heads clear the water. The adolescent human boy gets them over to the side of the pool, and Sonic hoists himself out of the pool before helping get Luna out. Then the boy hauls himself out as well. " You two alright? "

" Yeah, we're fine. I'm Sonic the Hedgehog, and this is Luna Moonrose. "

" Christopher Thorndyke, but you can call me Chris. I'm going to go out on a limb and say you two aren't native to Earth. " Chris deadpans.

" How do you figure that? " Sonic asks, " It's true, but…"

" We don't have talking anthropomorphic animals here. " is the monotoned response from Chris.

Sonic blinks at this while Luna laughs silently, He's got you there, True Blue.

Time Gates:

Sailor Pluto frowns as she monitors the eddies of time, it had been nineteen years since the Inner Court had been born, six years since Artemis awakened Venus, and five years since Luna awakened the other three, and there was still no sign of the princess to her confusion. Had the princess been reincarnated too soon or too late? Sailor Pluto honestly had no way of knowing, whatever the reason, for the princess' absence.
