Harry and Ron had been feigning sleep for a good hour before Hermione went to bed. The two didn't want her to know their secret quite yet. They slipped out of the apartment Ron and Hermione were living under the invisibility cloak, and apperated into Hogsmeade. They flinched for a brief second, remembering the last time they had done that.

"Where to?" asked Ron when they made it onto the Hogwarts grounds.

"The shack?" suggested Harry. Ron nodded, and the two slipped inside. It felt a bit smaller than the last time they were inside it, but it would work. The two had been learning to become animagi (Legally). Neither of them had successfully transformed, but it could take time. To Ron's slight pleasure, just because Harry had animagi blood didn't mean he had it any easier. It was a bit predictable what their forms would be, but it didn't mean either of them was any less eager. They had been trying for a good hour before it happened. It was a strange sensation. Harry felt his body reforming and the weight of growing antlers on his head. He felt himself fall on all fours, and the transformation was complete. Harry let Ron survey him for a moment before turning back into himself, which luckily would not need more training.

"Blimey," said Ron. "That was bloody brilliant!"

"Thanks," said Harry, still grinning. To him, he had finally become Prongslet. It had always felt strange to be called that, but now it wouldn't. Harry knew the Marauders would be in for a shock. He had watched his father transform every full moon, but now he could join him. The thought was exciting, as long as Harry's mother let him. Ron had been trying for another few minutes before he started to change as well. In two seconds, a Jack Russel Terrier stood where Ron had a minute earlier. The dog turned back into Ron, who was grinning.

"We've done it, then," he said. "Now to surprise Hermione and Ginny."

"Yep. Let's do it tomorrow." agreed Harry. Ron nodded.
