So, that new episode was a doozy, wasn't it? I'm feeling all the feels right now, so I'm trying to get all my angst out. This didn't have a beta and the majority of this was written super late, so if you see anything, please PM me or leave a review or something.

When Janus said it, Remus felt like his heart was being ripped out of his chest. Roman, I'm glad you don't have a moustache, otherwise, between you and Remus, I wouldn't know who the evil twin is.

Yes, Remus has made fun of his name for a while at the beginning. He was Remus after all. What did Janus expect? But that comment was to low. He didn't have to say that. He didn't have to mean that. And Janus did, Remus was sure of it. They had lived together long enough that Remus could tell when Janus was lying.

And so, Remus didn't say anything when Janus called that he was back. He didn't say anything when Janus started calling him, to find out where he was. The only time Remus said anything was when Janus knocked on his door and said, "Remus? Are you in here?"

"Whaddya want?" Remus said, almost letting his anger slip through.

"I...just wanted to see where you were," Janus said through the door. He didn't open it. Remus scoffed.

"Lies. You just want to gloat. You just want to rub in my face how you've finally won." Remus opened the door now. He needed to see Janus' face. Remus wanted to see the look on his face. "I heard what you said. I heard how you think I'm evil. I thought we were on the same side. But apparently not. Oh, boo hoo, Roman made fun of your name. So? You could've been the bigger person. You could've walked away. But you didn't. I'm leaving, and I don't know when I'll be back. Have fun with the others, Deceit."

Remus pushed past Janus, ignoring the look on his face. Ignoring how hard it was to call him Deceit. Ignoring the feeling that they had just broken years of trust just like that. Ignoring everything.

He ended up in the forest. The forest that he and his brother had made, a long time ago. But it didn't hold the same magic it did years ago. It was quiet. The sky was grey like it was going to rain.

Remus quickly walked through the trees, mud getting on his clothing. He didn't know where he was going, but he hoped that the forest would remember him and lead him to where he needed to go.

After what seemed like hours of walking, he finally got to a clearing. Remus didn't expect to see Roman on the other side of it, kneeling down with his head in his hands. Remus froze. Even before Roman officially left, the forest was in Remus' part of the Imagination. Roman must have had a worse time than Remus had thought.

Remus crossed the clearing, coughing slightly to alert Roman to his presence. His head whipped around, glaring daggers at Remus. "Go away. I don't want you here."

Remus nodded sadly. "I know." He sat down beside Roman, stretching out his legs. It was a stark contrast to Roman, who was curled up in a ball.

"If you know, then why are you still here?" Roman asked, his voice breaking at the end. He was barely holding himself together. Roman had come out here to get some alone time, some time away from everyone. But that obviously didn't happen.

"I heard what happened," Remus said softly. That in itself was weird. Remus was never soft. He was always saying something inappropriate or plotting. He never just sat quietly and listened. Somehow, that made Roman even madder.

"You're on his side, aren't you? You think he was right, that I am evil and rude and everything I'm not supposed to be." And that hurt Remus, it hurt him to know that Roman agrees with Janus. Remus really is the worst.

"I came out here to get away from Janus." Remus didn't miss Roman flinch when he said his name.

"Did he insult you too? 'Cause I don't want to hear it if he did."

"I didn't come to make you hear about it. I was wondering if you wanted to talk." Remus replied shortly.

"I don't," Roman said, twisting so his back was to Remus. This was Remus' signature move, turning his back on his brother. Back when they still lived together, Roman knew that he had won one of their petty arguments when Remus did this.

Roman's shoulders started shaking again. Part of Remus wanted him to get up, leave and let Roman deal with it himself. But another part of Remus (the part that still missed his brother), told him to comfort Roman.

Remus sighed, stood up and walked to the other side of Roman. He sat down with his legs crossed and waited for Roman to look up. He finally did and said, "Are you still here? You can't take a hint, can you? I just want to be alone. Why don't you understand me? I'm a failure and I was mean and I can't do anything right. I just-"

"Roman," Remus interrupted, placing a hand on his shoulder. "I know. You messed up-" Roman let out a little squeak that was almost a sob, "-but you can't do anything about it now. I'm not saying that you have to go back now. Heck, you don't have to go back. But I'm trying to be there for you. I'm trying to do what I haven't been able to do for years. I've missed you, Ro, and I'm just trying to make you feel better, even though life sucks and people are awful. So, be mad at me. I don't care. Just get it out." This was hard for Remus also. He wanted to be inappropriate, to make jokes that didn't have anything to do with the situation. He wanted to make Roman happy again.

But that was going to take a while. Roman was sobbing, not looking at his brother. Remus slowly moved over to him and fully put his arm around Roman's shoulders. Surprisingly, Roman turned into Remus' shoulder instead of pulling away.

After what seemed like hours, Roman's tears finally dried up. He took one last stuttering breath and pulled away from Remus. "You good, bro?" Remus asked.

Roman nodded slowly, then nodded faster. "Y-yeah. I'm getting there. I mean...yeah, I'm fine."

Remus smiled softly, then said, "Good. Now, do you want me to beat anybody up for you?"

Roman laughed. "I don't think that would be the correct method to go about things. But thank you. For everything." Remus nodded and they sat together in the clearing until it got dark. Because that was okay. It might not go back to normal immediately. Heck, it might never go back to normal. But they just have to do the best that they can. And that was enough.
