Star Wars: Kenobi

Eight years after Revenge of the Sith, Obi-Wan Kenobi has gone into hiding on the planet Tatooine with a single purpose. Watching over the boy, Luke Skywalker. Though the jedi are no more, it seems like some people need help from the former jedi, as an old friend has tracked Kenobi down in hopes to track down an old enemy.
Chapter one: The boy
Just a regular day on the sandy planet Tatooine, when an older woman is out walking back from the market not too far from her home with her eight year old nephew. The two people walk with their stuff putting it in the speeder.
"I am glad you came with me to get the food for dinner tonight", Beru was talking to her eight year old nephew with a smile.
"I am glad I came. Can I have that blue milk when we get home?" As the two continue putting their stuff in.
"Of course after we help your Uncle Owen with the crops" Beru finished putting the food away with Luke.
Before they get in the speeder the two are halted by three pirates.
"Give us everything in that speeder" The head of the pirate group said. They point their weapons at Luke and his Aunt. Beru tried to plead with them, but ended up getting hit in the head by one of the pirates. Luke comes rushing towards her, but gets hit in the head as well. The boy gets knocked out.
When the pirates were about to raid the speeder, they were stopped by a hooded man. It is revealed to them its a bearded man in his late 40s.
The man says, "You will leave the speeders and find a new hobby" The pirates just walk away. When they left The man checked to see if Luke was alright as he had been watching him for quite some time. When Luke opens his eyes all he sees is Beru still hurt. The boy helps his aunt up and leaves. From a distance the hooded man with a beard watched them go off before leaving.
Back at the hut
The man removes his hood and sits to meditate. This is revealed to be Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi from the clone wars, but what is he doing on a hot, terrible planet like this? A voice speaks to him.
"Obi-wan I sense your troubled my friend" The ghost talks to him
"Master Qui Gon, I am lost for the first time in a while. Since I failed to help Anakin, Master Yoda instructs me to look after his son, but I am not sure why I bother. Luke's Uncle Owen already expressed many times that he doesn't want me near his family". Obi-wan expresses his feelings.
"You know why you have to Obi-wan. I sense the day will come when you will train the boy. Just be patient. We lost Anakin already because we failed to see the darkness, but we cannot risk losing Luke as he is the jedi and the galaxy's last hope" Quigon responses to his former padawans comment.
Obi-wan then nodes in agreement. "He is the chosen one. I assure you he will bring balance back to the force. That I can promise"
After the two old friends briefly talk there's a knock on the door.
The former jedi knocked on the door. Once the door opens it is a figure in mandalorian armor uses a blaster to stun Obi-wan knocking him out unconscious. The other two next to the mandalorian drag the body of Kenobi on to the ship next to the hut and then the ship begins to take off.
Chapter 2: Old friends
Obi-wan wakes up on the ships medical bed in shock. "Where am I!" the old master begins to panic. "You are on my ship, welcome Kenobi" the woman in the mandalorian armor begins to remove her helmet. Obi-wan realizes who it is. The woman who captured him is the Duchess Satine's sister, Bo-Katan.
"Sorry about the blaster, but I knew you wouldn't listen to reason" the lady mandalorian begins talking.
"Take me back at once!" Kenobi demanded
Bo-Katan took a deep breath knowing that this would happen. However she speaks, "I don't know why you're on that planet or what you're doing, but I need your help. Me and the leftover death watch have tracked down the renegade sith Maul. After the siege of Mandalore the empire came and took over and then he fled, now leading some parts of the crime syndicate. We need your help to take him down. Rest of Death Watch wants revenge for what he did to our people. We tracked him to Corellia. A source says he's meeting with some crime lords so we can use your help.
Obi-wan responds, "I know you want revenge for what he did to your sister. Believe me
I do, but I have an important mission. Its classified, but I can't go I am sorry"
Bo-Katan seems like she wants to retaliate by this response, but she doesn't. Insted she gives Obi-wan an angry face and leaves. "You have one hour to change your mind". Door closes.
Obi-wan meditates as to thinking about what Bo-katan has said.
Qui Gon force ghost appeared, "I sense conflict Obi-wan. I know whats bothering you I think you should go"
Obi-wan responds, "Master I want to go, but what about Luke?"
"He will be safe" Quigon replayed "I sense the conflict in you. This feud with you and Maul has been going on for some time. I suggest if you want it to end then go. Luke will be safe. I sense danger coming, but if you choose to go back Maul might use Bo-Katan to find where you are if she's captured."
Obi-wan conflicted on the situation and put in deep thought. He has had enough of Maul its time to end the feud. Not only is he a crime lord, but can rise to power again to become a new threat to the galaxy.
Obi-wan steps into the room where Bo-katan is waiting for an answer.
"Fine I will go however no one can know that I am a jedi"
Bo-katan responds, "Don't worry we won't be around imperial territory. I just found out from my source that Maul will be on Corellia we will strike at night after the other crime bosses leave. If we do this quickly I will bring you back"
Obi-wan then asks, "Who is this source might I ask and how many people is going with us?"
"I cannot tell you yet, but me and my squad of ten soldiers are left. Rest of the clans like clan Wren Don't want any part of Maul. We lost most resources to the Empire". Bo-katan looks down in shame.
"Obi-wan then choose to talk about her true intentions, "You want revenge for satine I know"
Bo-katan gets mad at hearing about the name and blames the jedi for it. She feel if Kenobi and Skywalker didn't leave to help the Chancellor then maybe Maul would have died at their hands and then Mandalore would be at peace, but she knows this is the only thing she has left. She doesn't says anything for a minute.
"Yeah maybe your right, but this is what I have left, maybe if Maul is brought down its unite the clans I don't know. All I know his this feels right"
Obi-wan then decides that this needs to be done as he has had enough of the former sith, "Alright lets do this for Satine"
The two give each other a slight smile and jobs their ship to hyperspace.
Side note This story has no tie ins with Rebels. This was made long before the Siege of Mandalore arc. I just decided to continue this story.
Chapter 3: Talon
The former Death Watch which was once led by Pre Vizsla has landed on the planet Corellia where Maul has already finished his meetings and gone.
Obi-wan because he doesn't want anyone to know he is a jedi, dresses in spare mandalorian armor that Bo-Katan has. FIts him just fine, but he chooses to hide his lightsaber behind his jet pack in one of his clips.
Just as the former Death Watch walks out they are welcomed by an elderly man, but Kenobi knows he has former Prime Minister Almec. Kenobi grabs one of his blasters before Bo stops him, "He is on our side". Kenobi is confused.
"I know we had our differences in the past, but after Maul took the remaining crew of his mandalorians and left he still said he had use for me, but I realized he only wants power. He killed most of his mandalorians without a second thought" Almac states his words before Obi-wan says something as he holds him responsible for letting Satine die.
Obi-wan then responds, "He took most of his mandalorian troops with him? What exactly happened after I left to save the Chancellor?"
Hearing those words still makes Bo pretty angry at the Jedi for leaving. "After you and your jedi friend left we were able to capture Maul. After the clones were going to leave, a group of Mauls troops came in and busted him out. Looks like he already plan to leave with the rest of his soldiers. The empire came and took over the rest of Mandalore and the rest of the soldiers either refused and were killed by the Empire or went into hiding and that's why its only us. No one wants to fight back against Maul."
Obi-wan wanting to ask more questions decided he did the right thing coming. The group saw there were guards. Bo-Katan and her troops decided to distract the men working for the syndicate. Almac hid so he wouldn't blow his cover.
There was a huge blaster fight going on when Kenobi ran inside to look for the former sith with two soldiers.
They enter his office, but a Twi'lek female figure was in his place and randomly used the force to make the other soldier shoot each other. Seemingly wanting to leave Kenobi to herself.
"So you must be the famous jedi who my master spoke so much about." The Twi'lek said. "I am Talon, Mauls new apprentice.", She grabs her crimson red sabor.
Obi-wan then removes his hilt from the bottom of the jet pack and ignites it. Before Kenobi says a word Talon uses the force to break the window to escape. The Jedi go after her.
When Obi-wan uses his jet back to fly after her he uses his advantage and swings at Talon who is running away. She blocks the attack and kicks him. Kenobi falls on his back and realizes that his jet pack is damaged, but takes it off and runs. He uses the force to pull her down after she tries running away.
The two clash in a saber lock. Kenobi uses his famous lightsaber form soresu to block her attacks. In frustration she uses her anger to make her hits more heavy.
"You know he will turn on you" Obi-wan starts talking.
Angry she keeps swinging at the jedi, but after the saber lock she gets her hand chopped off. Talon shrieks in pain as she goes to her knees.
Kenobi takes the lightsaber and brings her down to Bo-katan who is finished with her fight.
There are three more soldiers with her now after their fight. After Kenobi gets down Almac is nowhere to be seen. Before Kenobi could say something Bo asks who is this and Obi-wan tells her who she is. Bo yells out a frustrated tone with her blaster at the dark jedis head.
"Where is Maul!" Bo hits her blaster on Talon's face.
"Like I would tell you where my master is" repalays Talon
Before another hit Obi-wan halts her. To talk.
"You do realize Maul will kill you after he has no use for you?"
"SIlence jedi Maul found me after the empire destroyed my home. For the past seven years he has taught me how to be strong, so you will have to kill me before I talk!"
Before Kenobi could protest Bo looks like she's going to pull the trigger when a voice is called out. It is Almac being held by the mandalorian Gar Saxon
"Saxion!" Bo cries out before she could aim the blaster at his head. Saxion shoots at the remaining men who were with Bo at the beginning of the story.
The armies of the Crimson Dawns crime syndicate use stun on their blasters to knock out Kenobi and Bo.
Chapter 4: The meeting
The three wake up in a cell without their weapons.
"We meet again my old friend" Comes from a voice that hasn't been heard in a while.
Maul walks in with Saxion.
Bo-Katan who looks almost furious charges the renegade without her weapons anyway not caring. Before she lands a punch she is caught holding her breath.
"Stop!" Obi-wan cried out.
"Ahh master Kenobi what a surprise. I hear the empire is offering huge rewards for jedi, but I don't want you dead yet. Maul releases Bo from his force choke.
"Former Prime Minister Almac you betray me to side with the traderus Death Watch and a Jedi?"
"Your the one who set our planet into ruins for the Empire to take over. You fled like a coward and dishonored us!" Almac stands up only to be met with a blade in his chest.
"Saxion bring the two into the arena. The Jedi and the Mandalorian should get a proper farewell. If we leave them here and the Empire finds out it will put us under their radar" Maul walks off.
The arena
Kenobi and Bo are standing in the battle arena. Seen is Saxon, Maul, and Talon holding Obi-wan's lightsaber.
The crowd is cheering in excitement. Maul shouted out to bring out the rancor.
Two soldiers walk out with the rancor.
The rancor loses control and hits one of the soldiers. Kenobi takes the blasters from his belt and gives it to Bo who shoots it at the other guard. The rancor yells and charges at the two who dodge.
Kenobi gets picked up ready to be eaten, but before a blaster fire hits the rancor in the back who shrieks in pain as it lets go of Obi-wan who grabs one of the staffs to zap the beat again. Guards are running to the two with orders to make sure they execute the pair, but get hit trying to blast them.
Kenobi does a high jump trying not to show off his jedi powers and stabs the rancor in the eye.
The beast runs into the wall and knocks into it. The higher ground is shaking from that.
"Obi-wan I have a plan. There's a crack in the wall we need to keep getting the beast to hit that"
Realizing this Maul summons Saxion to stop them from trying to escape
Saxion goes on his jet pack and fires at the two prisoners. Both dodge and hide behind rubble.
"Bo I have a plan keep running I will use the force" Obi-wan says
"What!" Bo wanting to protest but does what the jedi says. Bo runs and Kenobi without people noticing uses the force to help her jump on top of Saxion.
As this happens the jet back the mandalorian wore broke and with that distraction Boy runs to beat on the traitor.
Obi-wan in the meantime runs from the beast. Using his jedi training, Obi-wan runs in the direction of the crack wall and bits of it collapse. In the direction where Bo-katan and Gar Saxion are fighting the rubble of the wall falls. Bo manages to avoid this, but the pieces of the wall fall on Saxion with the rancor falling on top of him. That was the end of the renegade mandalorian.
People begin to run as the wall collapses. Maul and the rest of the crime lords that were watching run away. He however runs to a ship with Talon trying to escape the planet. Obi-wan has Bo-katan put her arms around him and he does a high jump.
Running after the two Talon stays to stop the two. Obi-wan uses the force to grab his Lightsaber when Bo-katan grabs a blaster charging after the renegade sith lord. Before Kenobi could say something Talon and him has a saber lock.
"You stayed behind? Told you Maul doesn't care otherwise he would not ask you to stay"
"Silence!" Talon protests as she keeps swinging at the jedi.
Obi-wan uses his form sorsu to defend against attacks. As the keep fighting Bo tries to stop Bo-katan blasted her way through Maul who just got on the ship and took off.
Obi-wan goes on the offensive and knocks the lightsaber out of her only hand. Just as when Kenobi is going to finnish her, a ship takes off.
"I told you he would leave you behind" Obi-wan looks at the defeated Talon.
"Where is he going" Bo walks to her angry looking like she was gonna do something.
"My master rescued me to only betray me?" Talon says as she is defeated.
"Talon, Maul is not who he claims he is, just tell us where he is" Obi-wan standing in front of both people.
"Dathomir he usually goes there when he's not having business with the rest of the crime lords." Talon decides to give in as she has no reason to stay loyal to her traitorous master.
"Alright you're free to go" Obi-wan is dones with his lightsaber and shuts it off.
"Are you letting her go?" Bo wants to protest.
"Shes to longer a threat. I have no reason to kill her." Kenobi protested.
"That act of mercy is why my sister got killed. You Jedi let the wrong people go off easy. Bo walks to the ship they left.
Obi-wan wants to protest, but Bo does have a point. There is no need to show mercy there isn't a jedi order anymore. Talon just watches them go off from a distance leaving.
Chapter 5: Old wounds
Bo-katan and Obi-wan land on the wastelands of Dathomir. Obi-wan remembers the last time he was here he was with Anakin in search of Savage Opress now he came to finnish what he started long ago during the battle of Naboo and that is to finnish Maul for good.
The two wander around the once Nightsisters home to find clues where the renegade sith is.
They find a hut where they see Maul stand inside holding the darksaber.
Bo is about to pull out her blasters when Maul force pushes her in a tree knocking her out.
"Its just you and me old friend" the renegade sith ignites his double bladed red lightsaber as he puts away the darksaber.
"We are not friends," Obi-wan replies, igniting his weapon.
"I sense you are determined to beat me. More than when you did during the Clone Wars, why is that? Maul questions the sudden appearance of his old enemy
Obi-wan thinks about what to say.
"Ahh yes you're protecting something, or someone" Maul procuses his questions.
Obi-wan with a fear of shock starts to battle Maul. His fear and determination is keeping him going. He knows he can't lose because if he does Maul will train Luke as his apprentice, losing the galaxy's very last hope.
The fight goes on for a couple minutes before Maul talks, "Join me Kenobi together with me you and the boy we can destroy the Empire"
"So you can take Palpatine's place? Never!" Obi-wan protests as he hits each of Mauls blades with his lightsaber. Throughout his years as a Jedi council member, Obi-wan uses his experiences to keep up the fight. He sees the dark saber in the old hut and grabs hit with the force igniting it.
Now Kenobi is attacking with both weapons of the Jedi. Both of his sabers hits Maul's double blade. Before he can react, Maul uses the force to push him to the group. Before Maul can cut through Kenobi, he rolls over back up to his feet and keeps fighting. Eventually overwhelms Maul with his experience and with the next lightsaber lock, Obi-wan uses his sabers to close in, cutting off Maul's fingers.
Maul falls to his knees screaming in pain. "Do it. Finnish me Jedi" Maul insisnts. Before Obi-wan can react, a blaster hits Maul in the chest from behind. It was Bo-Katan who woke up from the push. Obi-wan catches Maul as he falls down gasping for air.
Before he dies Maul asks, "Tell me this boy, is he the chosen one?"
"He is" Obi-wan looking at his old enemy.
"That is good to hear. Train him well Kenobi for he will avenge us." Maul shuts his eyes as he takes his last breath. The former Darth Maul is dead.
"I am afraid this belongs to you" Obi-wan gives Bo the darksaber.
"Yes this could bring the lost mandalorians back together. Give them hope." Bo-katan takes it.
Obi-wan being the honorable man he is, burrys Maul as respect for his old enemy before heading to the ship. The murderer of Satine and Quigon is no more.
Chapter 6: Twin suns
Tatooine
Bo-katan drops Obi-wan back off at his hut, thanking him for her help.
"What will you do now that Maul is gone may I ask?" Obi-wan asks before he exits out.
"I will be going to Mandalore to reunite those who resist the Empire" a quick pause comes from Bo before saying, "You could join me and help us"
"Perhaps, but I must stay for my purpose here" Obi-wan declines.
"I heard your talk with Maul. This boy he mentioned, do you really think he will bring peace to the galaxy?" Bo questions.
"He is. I must stay here to make sure he is safe. However if you need help you know where to find me" Obi-wan pulls out his hand.
Bo-katan shakes his hand, "Thank you Obi-wan now I see what my sister saw in you" She begins to walk to her ship and leave the planet Tatoonie.
Obi-wan begins to walk to his hut meditating.
"I sense you have found balance in yourself. Does that mean you will train Luke?" the ghost of Quigon appears.
"Not yet master he isn't ready. When he is he will not only bring balance back, but he will be the first of the new jedi.
