Bakugan
Disclaimer- I own nothing of Bakugan. All rights go their respective producers.
This takes place during episode 39 of New Vestroia: "Avenging Spectra". Spectra asks Zenoheld the Brawlers be left alone, but he especially doesn't want a certain human being to come into harm's way. Find out why in this story!
"I want you to leave the Brawlers alone, but especially the human who does not have the Attribute Energies you seek."
It was the only way Spectra knew to protect her. Yes, it was also about his competition with Drago to make sure Helios emerged the ultimate Bakugan, but this woman found her way into stony heart and melted it. No way was he going to lose her this way. There was no way. She was his special gem, his treasure. He was not about to lose her because of Zenoheld and his former teammates' foolish choice to use mechanical Bakugan to betray him, and leave him for dead.
"What's that?" King Zenoheld replied with arrogance. "My boy, you've got to be kidding me!"
"I promise you, I am very serious." Spectra answered with a tone of threat, danger, and finality that everyone noticed. He meant what he said and was sticking by it. Charlie will not be harmed. They would do wise to heed his warning. "But if you do this, then we can start again. I will wipe the slate clean, and forget that you ever falsely accused me."
"Falsely accused you?" Mylene asked, aghast that he would suggest his story wasn't true.
"What's this trash you're talking, traitor, huh?" exclaimed Shadow Prove.
"Enough!" Prince Hydron said, getting aggravated. "I'm not going to listen to any more of this nonsense!"
"It seems you've gotten things backward here, Spectra." King Zenoheld added. "It is you who is hurling the false accusations. What is clear, however, is your undeniable betrayal of the Vexos. What do you have to say for yourself?"
"Let's hear you lie your way out of this one." Hydron said smugly, twirling a strand of his hair. Spectra could care less about the spoiled brat prince.
"Silence!" Gus shouted. "I will not allow you to mock Master Spectra any further!"
"Gus, what did I say?" Spectra admonished.
"But sir-"
"No buts! We are here to negotiate. We don't have time for this childish bickering."
"I'm sorry, Master Spectra." Gus relented, even though Spectra heard in his voice that he didn't want to. Gus had yet to realize that nothing Zenoheld or the Vexos say matter to him.
"I'll say it again. I want you to leave the Bralwers alone, especially the one who doesn't have the Attribute Energies you're looking for. If you harm the girl in any way, it will not end well for you. If you know what's good for you, you'll listen to me." It was then everyone, and even he himself, realized it. He loved her. Nothing was going to keep her from being by his side, not Zenoheld, not the Vexos, and especially not their pathetic BT System.
"I see time has done nothing to lessen your arrogance." Was Zenoheld's cold reply. "I think it's time you were on your way, Spectra."
"You heard him! You're lucky my father, King Zenoheld, has forgiven your insolence and betrayal!" stated Hydron, not that Spectra cared in the slightest. "You better leave while you still can."
"Very well then, Zenoheld. Good luck on your road to ruin. Time to go, Gus."
"Okay."
Spectra knew he would have to protect the woman himself now. Since Zenoheld refused his request, he knew it was a matter time before the Brawlers find the BT System and obliterate it completely. He just had to get to Charlie before any real harm came to her.
And he would be her knight in shining armor.
Always.
