Tell Me How To Fix You

Chapter 15 – Part One

By: The Duchess of Arendelle

AN: Sorry for any mistakes. These next couple of chapters are going to be pretty grim, just a warning.

"Elsie? Elsie, wake up!"

"Olaf? What are you doing up this early? Go back to sleep buddy..."

"I can't Elsie, the sky's awake, so I'm awake, so we have to play." Barely four year old Olaf said to a sleepy eight and a half year old Elsa.

"Go play by yourself." Elsa responded turning back over in her bed. Olaf huffed, still sitting on his sister's bed. He sat and thought for a moment then got an idea as he looked outside Elsa's window. He shook his big sister again as he smiled.

"Do you wanna build a snowman?" He asked excitedly. He knew there wasn't a lot of things his big sister liked to do. She stayed to herself a lot of the times, and she never ever liked being touched or touching things, at least not without her gloves on. And Mama and Papa took her away for hours every Thursday and he didn't know why. But he knew if there was one thing Elsa loved was snow. She said it was because it was white and it looked so clean. Elsa could never resist playing in the snow with him. Olaf on the other hand was the complete opposite. He loved summer and all things hot, even though his extremely fair skin caused him to get severe sunburn if he stayed out too long, he didn't care. Even though summer was his favorite time of year, he loved winter as well. Winter brought snow. And snow brought a happy Elsa. And if Elsa was happy then he was happy. Sure enough when he looked down at Elsa he saw her smiling with one eye cracked open.

The two small siblings quietly snuck out of their huge home and into the frozen gardens behind their house, Elsa shushing a giggling Olaf the entire while. There was already an immense amount of snow on the ground and as they stepped outside it had begun to flurry even more. With nothing but their pajamas and snow boots on, the two began to play in the snow, laughing and running around. The first thing they did was make a snowman, well Elsa made it and she told Olaf to name it.

"I'll call it… Olaf!" Olaf exclaimed giggling and hugging the misshapen snowy creation. Elsa giggled too and shook her head.

"Olaf! You can't name the snowman Olaf too silly!" Elsa told him. Olaf looked at the snowman and began to pout.

"B-but, I want his name to be Olaf too." Olaf said hugging the snowman tightly. Elsa sighed and rolled her eyes.

"Fine. Oh! I know! We can name him Olaf Two." She said holding two of her small fingers up to show her brother. Olaf instantly smiled and began furiously nodded his head in agreement.

"Yay! Olaf Two! Thank you Elsie I love him!" Olaf said excitedly smiling and looking at his sister. Elsa smiled back but frowned a little when she saw her little brother open is arms for a hug. He always tried to hug her and she felt bad that she could never bring herself to hug him back. He continued standing there waiting for his sister's hug. Elsa remained still, looking down towards the ground and then at the snowman they had just built. She suddenly got an idea as she rushed towards the snow creature and got behind it. She took her glove covered hands and began maneuvering the sticks they had used as the snowman's arms. She then began to speak in a funny voice.

"Hi, I'm Olaf Two and I love warm hugs!" Olaf's face brightened even more as he ran over to Olaf Two and gave him another icy hug. This time, Elsa was standing right behind the snowman so it was almost like Olaf was hugging her too. After that they had a long snow ball fight, the two had been outside now for at least 20 minutes and it was starting to get colder. It was still pretty dark outside, the sun was still in the process of rising, and the snow flurry had picked up in density and wind speed. Elsa decided to look around for her little brother. As she turned her head to the left she was instantly meet with a snowball to the face and the sound of loud giggles. She wiped the snow from her eyes just in time to see her little brother playfully stick his tongue out at her.

"Ha, ha Elsie, now you're it! You can't catch me!" He said as he gathered up another snowball and took off towards the thick woods behind the garden. Elsa smiled, scoped up a snow ball for herself and took off after him. Her parents had warned them both to never go into the woods without a grown up with them, but she was having fun for once and she didn't heed their warning. She wished now more than ever she would have.

"I'm gonna get you Olaf!"

As the two went running through the woods the snow started falling heavier and heavier until it was getting harder and harder to see. The temperature had also dropped immensely and Elsa began losing sight of Olaf as they went deeper into the woods. When Olaf started to become a blur in the snow and the trees started to increase in number Elsa began to get scared.

"Olaf slow down! We need to head back!" She called out to the giggling boy. Olaf, still running, yelled back.

"Nice try Elsie! You're not tricking me! I'm gonna win this time!" Olaf picked up the pace, the energetic boy barely noticing the cold as he was enjoying playing with his big sister for once. Now Olaf was completely out of Elsa's sight and the eight year old began to panic.

"Olaf! Olaf come back! This isn't fun anymore, we need to go back now!" Elsa shouted but this time got no response but the sound of Olaf's far away giggles.

"Olaf, come on! We need to go NOW!" Elsa yelled, scared out of her wits. Pretty soon even the sound of Olaf's laughing began to fade, and now she was just aimlessly wondering around in the snow by herself. The strong winds began blowing the branches back, one of them catching her cheek, creating a nice size gash and another caught her right glove. Elsa, scared and in pain, felt the branch hitch on to her glove and panicked, thinking it might be a person trying to kidnap her. She started to run, snatching her hand away, allowing the branch to keep the glove. Suddenly she heard the sound that she would never forget. She heard Olaf scream out just once, the sound echoing through the woods. She instantly began running towards the direction of the sound. Her parents weren't very religious, but she began praying that Olaf was okay as her little legs ran as fast as they could.

"Olaf!"

"Olaf!" Elsa yelled out as she sat up in her bed. She looked around, expecting to see snow and trees but instead saw the interior of her bedroom. She sighed and wiped her sweat covered brow with the back of her hand. She check the clock, 7:30 a.m. The same time she woke up every morning, with the same dream she had every night. No. Not dream. Memory. She sighed again and threw the covers off of herself, stretching and climbing out of bed. She then walked towards her bathroom to start her morning routine, trying to shake the memory out of her head. At least she didn't dream the whole thing this time. Elsa exited her bathroom at 8:15, walking over to her closet to pick out an outfit for the day. She was feeling surprisingly light as she was reminded of the previous day's events. Anna walking in on her naked and her hiding in said closet. Now that she thought about it, it was pretty darn funny. Elsa smiled to herself as she picked out a warm, light blue, off the shoulder sweater and a pair of denim skinny jeans. She found herself hoping that Anna like her outfit. She really did like Anna, the redhead was the first friend Elsa had in a long time that wasn't her little brother. Speaking of, Elsa hadn't heard from the bubbly boy in two days. He usually called her every night, about ten minutes after Anna leaves, and they both catch up on each other's day, him asking a hundred and ten question about her, Anna, and what they did or talked about. She shrugged and just figured he'd forgotten. As she walked out the closet she saw her phone blinking on her desk's top. Curious about who would be calling this early she paused for a second, hand hovering over the device that was lying face down on her desk. 'What if it's Weaselton again?' she thought to herself. She still hadn't given the man an answer about what she plans to do. She sighed and picked the cell phone up, unplugging it from its charger. Flipping it over she was surprised yet delighted to see it was Anna calling. The girl had long since put her number in Elsa's phone, and Elsa had done the same. She touched the screen to answer and put the phone to her ear giving a hesitant,

"Hello?"

"Elsa? Oh thank God you finally answered!" Anna exclaimed into the receiver. The girl sounded out of breath and panicked. Was she crying?

"Anna? What's going on? What's wrong?" Elsa asked, now alert and on the edge. Was Anna okay? Was she hurt?

"Elsa, Oh God, its Olaf." The girl said, voice breaking as she said the lovable boy's name. All the color from Elsa's face drowned out. No, no, no. Please just, no.

"Wh- what? What's wrong with Olaf?" Elsa asked, voice shaking.

"I'm at the hospital now. Th-they said when Olaf fell he reopened some kind of old cerebral wound he sustained as a child, they missed in the X-Rays because of scar tissues. He started hemorrhaging from the back of his brain early this morning and they rushed him into surgery. Jesus Elsa, they said they don't know if he's going to make it." At this point Anna broke down and started crying again. Elsa shook her head.

"That's not true. That can't be true!" She said into the phone with a choked sob. She was just thinking about the boy. She talked to him two days ago and he said they were letting him out soon. He has to be okay.

"Elsa, it-"

"No! I just talked to him two days ago! It's not true! There's no way that can be true! You're making this up!" Elsa yelled.

"Elsa, please! Like I could ever make something like this up!" Anna said back, pleading with the girl to come to her senses.

"Why didn't anyone contact me sooner?" The blonde asked, silent tears falling from her eyes, blurring her vision.

"I tried calling you at least ten times, the hospital tried calling, Kai and Gerda tried. Nobody got an answer until now." Anna tried to explain. She heard Elsa on the other end take in a deep shaky breath and let it out, as a sob ripped its way from her body. Anna's heart broke even more at the sound.

"Can you come down here? To Corona General?" Anna asked, although she already knew the answer to it.

"I- I can't. Anna I want to so bad, but I can't." she sobbed out after a few moments of silence. Elsa was now crying hysterically and Anna heard a loud thump as the blonde slid to the floor, legs no longer able to hold her up.

"Elsa? Are you alright? Listen, Kai, Gerda and Kristoff just arrived and I don't have to be back to work today. Let me come over, I'll sit with you and wait for news. Kristoff will keep us updated, I swear." Anna said as she casted a glance over at said blonde boy. He nodded once in reassurance as Kai and Gerda also nodded telling her to go look after Elsa.

After a few more moments Elsa managed to give a chocked okay. That was all Anna needed

to hear as she told Elsa she'd be there in ten minutes and rushed from the hospital, making Kristoff promise to text her every five minutes with updates on Olaf's condition.

"I want to know the second he's out of that operating room." Anna said as she threw on her jacket.

"Of course Anna, now go. I'll hold down the fort here." He responded, shooing Anna out the door.

AN: Like I said, this was Part One and even through these next couple of chapters are going to be grim, there's going to be a light at the end. Sorry I haven't updated, there was a tragedy in the family. My Grandpa passed late last week and this chapter and the next couple are kinda hard to write considering. Anyway, I hope you guys liked it and Part two won't be long off.
