"Why you…!" Greta growled, looking around the surroundings. "Get over here and try splatting us, sack of goo!"

Mirii bended down, while frowning and hugging Hun: her Ink Tank leaned on the car door, as her eyes tried to look behind. She was blushing on her cheeks.

"Mirii, let me deal with that Stingray!" The Squid shook a bit. "I can do this! I'm sure that"

"No, Hunley!" The girl's arms tightened even more, as her heart beat faster. "If you fight, more medical complications might appear…!" Her head shook. "I-I can't keep you here…"

"There you are, little coward!" Greta's voice was coming from afar. "Taste the wrath of the Baby Splattershot! Ha!"

"Wh-what are you doing?!" Hun's eyes opened wide. "Don't you see they are attacking us?! We can't let"

A pair of car keys landed in front of Mirii: her eyes immediately found Bars holding Mirii's Charger weapon and winking his right eye. Her mouth opened, watching the tall boy disappearing behind the opened trunk. In a second, its door shut with a bang.

"… Mirii, wh-what are those…?" Hun's irises followed Mirii's hand picking up the car keys.

She stands up, using the same hand for opening the driver's car door and entering right in. The Squid kept moving around, squeezing his eyes.

"No! Mirii! Don't worry about me! It's not a big problem!"

"Don't disappoint me, Hunley…" After putting the car keys on the ignition lock, the girl closed the door back. "I will not approve your risky behavior, if you dare sliding away from me…"

"N-no…?" The top of his eyes "smiled" again.

"Absolutely." Her head shook, as her left arm let him jump on the passenger seat. "Now, hold on tight and let me"

"M-Mirii, reconsider this!" He jumped on the seat, landing vertically. "Our friends might be"

"HUNLEY!" Mirii frowned, looking back at him.

Hun trembled, as his tentacles wrapped around himself. Her head returned forward, now focusing past the frontal car window. She quickly turned the car keys and changed the gear: the car sprinted backwards, turning 180° with almost a drift! Hun's eyes grew large, as he fell in front of his seat.

After a loud screech, the car departed away from the parking lot and matched its tires on the main road. The headlights were lit, showing the road almost completely. Hun climbed back on his seat, looking back at the girl.

"… I'm sorry, Mirii…" He looked down.

Mirii's frown disappeared, as her eyebrows went fully up.

"… I had no choice… I-I couldn't let you win this fight, for all the glory in the world…!" She sighed loudly. "But now… what I am going to do?! I don't even know the nearest hospital on this island… and driving all the way to Inkopolis would take too long!"

Her head shook.

"My only choice would be to ask for the Shrine's help… thus, I have to meet Fara as soon as possible!"

"Mirii?" He slid a bit closer.

"Hunley, I'm driving the car… how do you feel?" Her head didn't moved an inch.

"Well… a bit sad, actually…" He crawled back, leaning on the right corner. "I really wanted to fight those Stingrays…"

"Me too, Hunley…" Her eyes closed for a brief moment. "But you need the Shrine for"

Her eyes grew large, instantly pushing down the pedal: the car screeched loudly, stopping in front of a fenced barrier with three Stinglings sitting on its edges. All three had their Splattershot-like weapons pointed at Mirii. Hun frowned, as he bended on himself… and jumped towards the frontal car window.

CRASH!

A male Stingling fell on his back, watching the Squid passing above him. Goo projectiles were already firing non-stop, all landing around the moving Squid.

"HUNLEY, NO!" Mirii leaned forward, moving her hands towards herself. "RETURN INSIDE THE CAR! HUNLEY!"

The Stinglings were all moving away from the barrier, still shooting and aiming at Hun. Mirii frowned.

"If I don't splat down those Stingrays, Hunley would never have the chance to jump back in the car…" She was seeing herself grasping and aiming with her All-in-one Changin' Charger. "… there is no other way around it."

Her hand pulled a small lever located on her seat's lower-left side. She widely opened the car door, dashing over the trunk and opening it wide. Her Charger weapon was sitting on the ink-filled Start Pad.

"… luckily, he didn't put my weapon inside the pad." She sighed in relief. "And the weapon doesn't even look damaged…!" A shadow covered her back. "It must be its"

Two big hands grabbed Mirii's sides, lifting her up in the air and holding her tightly. A greasy, yet familiar laugh made the girl's tentacles stretch upwards.

"Long time nay be seein', wee Squid!" Captain Roy was grinning like mad, showing his yellowish teeth, as his breath smelled like an used rum.

"NO!" Mirii moved her limbs around, while shaking violently. "IT CAN'T BE!"

The captain exploded in another laughter, as he tossed the girl on his shoulder. Her face was grimacing, becoming green… although, her stomach was feeling a sensation of softness, while pressing on the cloth-covered shoulder.

"You Squids be such a joke!" He walked away from the car. "Ye be so full o' yourselves, ye be thinkin' t' sneak in our base, causin' havoc an' e'en stealin' our booty, under our noses!"

"The true joke would be your illiterate, primitive, obsolete, useless way of talking!" Mirii's fists began punching the tall man's back. "LET ME GO!"

"Har har har! Keep cryin', Squid! Yer helpless yelps be a pleasure fer me ears!" His head glanced over Hun fighting towards the three Stinglings. "Why dasn't ye say 'Arrrrgh' t' yer dear boyfriend?"

Mirii blushed a lot, unable to move a finger and expanding her eyes. Hun was jumping above the flying goo, as he spun on himself and aiming at a Stingling woman: she jumped on the side, as the Squid landed on the road and slid away from her.

His irises caught Roy and Mirii, as he stopped instantly.

"MIIIRRIIIIII!" He dashed over the kidnapped girl, wanting to move beyond his top-speed limit.

"SAVE YOURSELF, HUNLEY!" Mirii shook her head and arms. "DON'T THINK ABOUT"

SPLAT!

Mirii gasped, seeing a pile of goo in place of Hun… as he was flying upwards, while in a smaller form. The girl shouted, punching and kicking with more strength than before! The captain laughed once more.

"Oooooh, th' others would sink in the'r envy, once they be seein' what I got in me booty chest..." His greasy hand patted Mirii's back. "… an' they will sink e'en more, when I will squeeze more Project Neo information ou' o' ye!"

Mirii was snorting, growling and pushing her teeth to the extreme. Her mind was filled with insults, rants of all sorts and incomprehensive phrases…

The other three Stinglings were smiling, watching the man disappearing behind a descending hill of small size. They began talking, looking at each other and walking away from the road, stepping now on the grass. In the distance, sitting on a lonely rock, a Stingling woman was lowering her muzzle-long weapon, jumping off the rock and following the same direction, the other Stinglings were taking.

Soon after, the Stingray group was moving past the hill, going behind it…

… a small Squid was falling towards the car trunk, diving inside the Start Pad. Bubbles came from it, before a pair of Squid eyes emerged from it. They were frowning.
