Hun jumped out from the pad, standing vertically and laying his tentacles on the opened car trunk's edge. He scouted the area, seeing small lights moving towards him, followed by a roaring sound. The Squid expanded his eyes, before jumping out of the trunk and sliding over the hill.

He turned behind, watching the lights growing and slowing down, once they were pointed at the car from the distance. He shook his head, turning behind and frowning at the horizon.

"No, Mirii is my priority… I have to save her!" He slid over the grass, although he slowed down right after. "Wait… where did they go?!"

Around the Squid, there was nothing but a carpet of grass, a mountain on the left and a small town in the distance.

"Oh, great…!" He snorted, as he rolled his eyes. "And now, what I'm going to do?! … should I return back to Grina and Bars…?" He shook his head. "I don't even have any idea of where they could possibly be!" His irises moved to the left. "Should I return inside that house and try reaching the Shrine…?" His eyes squeezed. "No, wait, I'm not exactly sure of where that is… I would waste too much time as well!"

Opening his eyes back, they shaped into a depressed form.

"Sigh… what I'm going to do…?" He slid forward, sighing once more. "If I only I had a hint or something"

Suddenly, the Squid passed through a grate and fell inside the darkness. He screamed at the top of his lungs, before yelping seemingly in a rhythm! At the nth yelp, the air went silent with nothing to show than pitch black.

"… ow, ow… …" He yelped once more. "Wh-what's this thing standing on my tentacles?! Is it a rock?! Yeouch! Get it off, get it off!"

Loud noises echoed throughout the area…

"Uff… uuuffff… I-I'm almost… done…" He screamed loudly. "Done! I'm free!"

BANG!

BANG!

Bang!

Bang…

…

Ttthhhuuuummppp…!

"… was that the rock making such sound…?"

All the sudden, dim lights appeared on specific parts of the rocky walls: Hun's eyes squeezed for two seconds, before slightly opening them back. His irises turned on the sides, seeing nothing but rocky walls. As his sight rose, he tracked down a ladder right below the grate, ending with a thick wooden border sustained by large sticks made with the same materials.

Next to the ladder's bottom part, a door-like entrance on the right: a dimmer light was coming from it.

"Wow… I really fell a long way down from there!" A sweat drop appeared on his head. "Luckily, I'm not too hurt…"

His irises lowered down, seeing a small line below. It was surrounded by a non-rocky terrain, resembling a river. His irises shrunk, as he screamed and jumped backwards, landing on a rock. His head went paler, as he slid behind the rock and began trembling.

"HOW AM I GOING TO RETURN TO THE SURFACE?!" His tentacles covered his face. "O-one slip would be the end of me…!" He swallowed loudly. "… perhaps… I should wait just a little… m-maybe Grina and Bars would"

His mind was seeing Mirii behind a small cage: her eyes were watery, as she was about to-

"NO! MIRII!" His eyes went slightly watery. "I-I'm coming for you! Hang in there!"

He turned his head around, seeing the same rocky walls. His eyes were resting on the wall in front of him, though…

"I wonder…" He bended on himself.

He bounced on the wall, as he was leaning on it. The Squid kept his position on the wall, alternating in between descending and raising on its surface.

"I was right!" He closed his eyes, sighing. "Then, it should be easy reaching that floor…"

Hun carefully climbed the wall, while leaving a dripping trail of dark-green ink. His irises fell down...

"AGH!" His eyes squeezed. "Don't look down! Don't look down! Don't look down...!"

He went a bit zig-zag, while still keeping his eyelids down. Trembling, they reopen to see the same scenery...

"I-I must be close...! Keep on going... I can't fall after all this work!" He frowned.

His slid speed increased, while still thinking about Mirii.

"Here I am! I did it!" Now he was staring directly at the wooden platform below. "All I need now, is making this jump count..." He took a deep breath...

He jumped out of the wall, landing on the wooden floor and stopping before he would reach the edge.

"Yes! I did it!" He turned over the door-shaped entrance. "Well... I don't know where this leads to..." He looked over the ladder. "... might as well return back to the surface, then!"

The Squid made a small, softly slide, before reaching the front of the ladder. He jumped on its first step, curving alongside its circular shape.

"... on second thought... if I try to jump from here, I might slip and fall all the way down...!" His head shook. "Not a good idea at all...!"

He let himself fall from the ladder and moved towards the entrance, instead.

"I have no choice, huh...?" Shyly, he watched the dim light coming from it. "Sigh... let's hope that I'm about to receive a warming, relaxing welcome... at least!"

The Squid slid past the entrance, turning over a corner and slightly descending through a rocky path, surrounded by the same kind of laterns seen before.

"Uhm... I do wonder something..." He looked away for a moment. "How come those laterns are lit, only now? Shouldn't they be lit before...?"

He kept looking away, while still following the path...

"... you know what? I shouldn't probably thinking about it too much...! In fact, I should think more about... where is this path leading? I hope that this road will bring me to my friends… no, wait! I hope it leads me to the Stingrays, so I can find Mirii and free her! Speaking of them, though… did they created all this?"
