Tell Me How To Fix You
Chapter 21
By: The Duchess of Arendelle
AN: Okay you guys are going to love and hate me for this chapter and the ones to come. Enjoy! Sorry for any and all mistakes!
"Can you…ugh… please…ugh… tell Elsa…ughh…this is,…oh my God,… a good idea?!"
"What is she doing?" Rapunzel's voice drifted from the speakers of Elsa's laptop. Elsa playfully rolled her eyes.
"She's doing push-ups. She's been exercising a lot for some big assignment she won't tell me about." Elsa responded as she stared at Anna's lithe form going down and coming back up. She heard a loud clearing of the throat and turned back to the screen. Rapunzel and Pascal were both staring at her with knowing smirks. Elsa blushed and straightened in her seat. Video chatting with Rapunzel was starting to become a regular thing. They had been doing it for two weeks now. In that time, Anna's presence had begun to become slightly scarce. Whatever this assignment was, Anna's preparation for it took up a lot of her time. And she absolutely refused to tell Elsa what it was about.
"What?" Elsa mumbled out. Rapunzel and Pascal both looked at each other and rolled their eyes in exasperation.
"Anyway. Anna's right. Woah, those words in a sentence together without 'not' in the middle doesn't sound natural…"
"Bitch." Anna yelled out as she switched over to crunches.
"Slut. But like I was saying. What better way to get involved in your company than this?" The brunette gestured to the computer screen. "It's so simple! And then eventually, when you're comfortable enough, you can talk in person. This is a natural segway." Rapunzel said to the blonde, trying to convince her. Elsa still looked skeptic.
"I don't know…" she trailed off. Rapunzel huffed and looked at Pascal again. The little chameleon looked back like it was affirming something with her.
"Okay Elsa, I didn't want to do this, but... if you don't take the initiative and start video conferencing with your company… I'm going to have to give these away to Pascal." She said, holding up a box of what looked like very expensive chocolate. Elsa's eyes widen.
"Le Velours Chocolat? But how- I mean, they've been sold out for months and they haven't started making the new batches yet. You can't find those anywhere, and trust me, I've tried." Elsa exclaimed. Anna stopped mid-crunch.
"What was that about chocolate?" she said, wondering over to Elsa and her laptop. Rapunzel smirked at them.
"I know people. And you should know, Le Velours Chocolat doesn't start making new batches until the fall. And this is the special salted caramel edition. Very rare. What's it gonna be Elsa?" Rapunzel asked, eyebrow raised.
"Um, excuse me. Screw that, I want them." Anna said, salivating over the treats. Rapunzel ignored Anna and stared directly at Elsa. Elsa stared back, trying to call her bluff.
"You wouldn't give an entire box of Le Velours Chocolats to a lizard." Elsa dared.
"First of all, he's a chameleon. Secondly, wanna bet?" Rapunzel said, reaching to unseal the plastic wrap. Elsa's eyes widened again.
"Okay! Fine, fine! I'll do it! I'll call Kai and have him arrange everything. But I expect those chocolates to have express shipping so they can be here by tomorrow." Elsa demanded.
"Deal. See? You're half way to being a business woman already." Rapunzel smiled. Anna looked back and forth between the two.
"Wait, wait, wait. Hold on a second. I spent the better part of two weeks trying to convince you to follow through with the plan, I thought of by the way, and you agree just like that… for chocolate?" Anna said in disbelief.
"It's Le Velours Chocolat."
"It's Le Velours Chocolat."
Both Rapunzel and Elsa said at the same time. Anna rolled her eyes and went back to exercising. They were in Elsa's home gym. It wasn't huge, but it wasn't small in the least. It had one of everything. Treadmill. Exercise bike. Elliptical. No wonder Elsa was so fit even though she never left her home.
"So, tell me the story of how your mom flipped over your hair cut again." Elsa said smiling.

"What's the password?" A voice rasped out. Anna rolled her eyes.
"Eugene…"
"Errr. Wrong. What's the password?" The voice asked again. Anna sighed.
"Smolder." She said reluctantly. The redhead was currently standing outside a battered apartment complex. It was in one of the shadier parts of the city and two big thugs with scars on their faces had been leering at her since she stepped out of the cab. Needless to say, she wanted to get inside the building as quickly as possible.
"Correct. You may come up." Anna heard a buzz and the unlocking of the steel door. She quickly made her way in. Going up to the elevator, she pressed the worn button to take her up. After pressing it three more times and still nothing, she sighed again and looked at the stairs. Every time she came here she prayed that the elevator would be working and every time she was disappointed. Damn Eugene for living on the sixth floor. By the time she made it to his apartment, she was substantially out of breath. What the hell was all that exercise for if she still got so easily winded? And why was she being made to exercise anyway? Eugene had still never explained that part to her. She had been meeting up with the man, planning out her assignment since they had talk two weeks ago. Anna banged loudly on the door.
"Eugene! Open the door!" she called out. She just knew he was looking at her through the peep hole. Anna then heard the now familiar rattling of chains and locks as Eugene opened the door and quickly pulled her in.
"Were you followed?" he asked cautiously. Eugene was slightly paranoid. He said it was because he still had people after him from his thieving days.
"No. No one followed me. And stop using that ridiculous Christian Bale Batman voice. It wasn't hot on him and it's not hot on you." She said, walking past the adventurer. Flynn rolled his eyes and cleared his throat.
"Did you bring the stuff?" he asked, sitting down at his junked up tabled. Anna stepped over the mountain of trash and dropped the heavy black duffle bag she was carrying with her in front of him.
"Yep, I got it all. Mics, cameras, tape recorders, listening devices, the works. Belle's father assured me this would be everything I need for a successful stakeout and surveillance. Top of the line spy equipment." Anna responded, taking the other seat. Flynn smiled and rubbed his hands together.
"Excellent, let's get started!" he said, eyes shining brightly.
2 Hours later
"Okay, now put this in your ear and let's test it out." Flynn said, handing the mini listening device to Anna. They had been going through different plans and strategies for almost 2 whole hours. Flynn had also been showing her how to quickly and inconspicuously plant and set up the micro cameras and mics.
"Anna, can you hear me?" he whispered into his mic. Anna nodded her head excitedly.
"Yeah!" she shouted. Flynn instantly grabbed at his ears and snatched his headset off.
"Jesus Anna! Not so loud, these things are very noise sensitive!" He said, shaking his head and trying to get the ringing sound out. Anna winced.
"Sorry." She whispered out softly. After that they went back to testing more equipment. Eventually they fell silent, each engrossed in their own work. Anna was writing down questions to ask as they came to her and Eugene was tweaking one of the devices. Anna's phone silently vibrated with a text from Elsa. The redhead instantly smiled as she swiped her phone to read the goodnight text. She quickly wrote one back and sat the phone down. She loved hanging out with Elsa, she did. But she found herself wanting to be closer to the blonde. Friendly hugs and hand holding were simply not enough for her anymore. Sighing loudly she looked to Eugene. He had been with a lot of girls, or so he claimed. Maybe she could ask him for advice.
"Eugene?" she called out softly.
"Hmm?" he responded distractedly.
"I need some advice. For a friend of course." She rushed out.
"Okay. What about?"
"A… friend of mine is in love with her friend. And this friend has been through a lot, so my friend is very reluctant to make a move on her friend-."
"That's a lot of 'friends.'" He interrupted, still not looking up from the device he was working on. Anna ignored him and continued.
"But she really, really, likes this girl, and this girl is all she can think about, and she finds that when this girl isn't happy she isn't happy. And when she smile's it makes her heart do these crazy acrobatic flips and her stomach feels like it's full of butterflies in mating season. But like I said, she's concerned because she's not sure if she should try to start a relationship now that her friend is beginning to take steps into fixing her problems. But she can't take much more of being 'just friends'. So, what do you think I- my friend, should do?" she asked quickly in one breath. Eugene was now looking at her in bemusement. He blinked once then spoke.
"Woah. Okay, so firstly, does this friend feel the same about your friend?" he asked. Anna thought for a second. She thought about all of her interactions with Elsa. All the times the girl snuggled up in her arms. All the close call kissing encounters. All the times she had spent the night and pretended like she didn't know Elsa was staring at her 'sleeping' form from the kitchen the next morning. Anna looked at Eugene and nodded her head.
"I- I think so." She responded. Eugene nodded his head as well.
"I see. And these… problems. Did she decide to work on them because of your friend's influence?" he continued. Anna nodded slowly.
"Yes."
"Hmm. And this friend of yours… it's safe to say that she would never be able to walk out of the other friend's life?" Anna didn't even have to think about that question. There was no way in hell she could ever walk out of Elsa's life.
"Yes. She couldn't leave even if she wanted to." Anna spoke quietly.
"Then I think your friend knows what to do." He said going back to tweaking the equipment. Anna stared at the man for a moment then smiled.
"Your right. I think she does. I'll be sure to tell her what you said." Anna responded in an overly serious tone.
"Right." Flynn responded dryly, waving her off. "Now could you leave my home please? I'm tired of playing cupid and I need to finish this if you want to begin your first strike against the polluting juggernaut soon." Anna rolled her eyes but still smiled. Gathering her bag and coat she ruffled Eugene's hair before quickly making her way toward the door. She was just about to open the door when Eugene called out to her.
"Oh yeah, and Anna?" he spoke, not turning away from his project.
"Yeah?" she called back.
"Good luck with getting your girl. I suggest you woo the pants off of her. Literally." He snickered. Anna gasped and picked up one of the many empty beer cans littering the floor, throwing it at the back of his head. She then turned and stormed out the door. She could still hear his laughter halfway down the hall.

*Vrrr vrrr vrrrrrr*
Anna looked down and checked her phone as she walked down the sidewalk. She had decided not to risk standing around waiting for a cab to come by. Instead she struck out walking to the closet subway station.
'hey stranger! Long time no speak. I guess you don't have time for poor ol' Kristoff anymore! :( I heard from Kai that you visited Olaf the other day. How are you holding up? How's Elsa? Tomorrow is Sunday, and I'll be back in town, (If I never have to cut down another tree, I'll be happy) anyway, Grand Pabi and Mira are cooking a big family dinner. will you do the honors of accompany me? –K'
Anna read the text and smiled. It's true. She hadn't spoken to Kristoff in forever. Between preparing for her assignment and helping Elsa, she barely had time for anything else. She was texting back an 'Of course, call me with the details' when she felt someone firmly grab her arm. Her eyes widened in panic as she remembered the last time that happened to her. No. Not again. Her surprised look turned into a frown as she instantly recalled her self-defense lessons. The redhead pulled her other arm back and elbowed the person in the gut as hard as she could. She heard the man let out a gasp of pain and took the opportunity to snatch away from his grip. She then took her foot and kicked the man square in his baby maker. The man was now doubled over in pain and Anna quickly reached into her purse and pulled out her brand new can of mace.
"Wait, Anna stop!" the man yelled, holding up the hand that wasn't cupping his throbbing privates. Anna was stunned for a second then tightened her grip back on the can.
"Who the fuck are you?! How do you know my name you freak? Stalker! You're a stalker!" she said, ready to blind the man with mace.
"No, no! It's me, Hans!" He yelled out, still trying to catch his breath from the jab in the gut and the kick in the family jewels. Realization and then regret crossed Anna's face as she got a better look at her would be attacker.
"Hans?"
