Greta sniffed, while keeping her eyes closed.
"Hmmmm…!"
She was standing near the trees, almost opening her hands and waving back and forth…
"Oh my turf…!" Her mouth opened wide, smiling just as much. "… oh my turf!"
Her mind was seeing herself as a little girl wearing a short-sleeved dress. She was running with her arms wide open, giggling and turning around each tree.
Greta shook her head, squeezing her eyes for a moment.
"Wow… looking at this forest is SO hypnotizing!" She turned behind, grinning at Bars. "We must cross this place as fast as Super-Jumping, big boy!" She returned forward, pointing in the same direction. "Or else I will start dreamin' all night!"
The boy kept panting loudly, while resting his arms on his weapon.
"Like… uff… carryin' this stuff while running is… uff… funky…" He grew his eyes, taking a big breath.
"Ooooh come on, come on!" The girl went near him, picking his shirt with her hand. "This is not the time to take a nap, Barsy!"
"… eh…" He grins. "Actually, it must be past midnight or something… sooo"
"It's past break-time!" She walked in place, while gritting her teeth and trying to pull him. "Ccccome oooonnn, B-Barsyyyy…"
The boy yawned loudly.
"Girl… can I take a nap…?" His forefinger rubbed his eye.
"I told you this is not the time!" Greta stopped, frowning at him. "Besides, where would you even go to sleep?! We got a storm of Stingrays to watch out for!"
"The car… ah, right." He chuckled. "The car must be back inside the garage…"
"You don't say, sleeping giant!" She left one chuckle, before twisting 180°. "Now, could we please move out?"
"Sigh… like… can we at least walk?" He bended forward, same for his weapon, almost stumbling over. "My legs are burning…"
"Yes… except, we have to walk FAST!" Greta sprinted away, quickly shifting into a fast walk.
"But girl!" He began running after her, while lifting his weapon on his shoulder. "That still counts as running!"
"Aaaah ah ah! This is NOT running at all!" The girl covered her mouth, with the back of her hand. "I'm simply walking in a faster pace! It's not my fault, if giant Squids happen to be even slower than molasses!"
"Anf, anf…" Sweat covered Bars' face, breathing loudly and carefully passing around each tree. "… giiiirl! Like… wait for me…!"
Greta popped out from in between the trees, as she stopped and looked at the immense hole surrounded by a thick railing.
"… oh my… turf!" Her eyes sparkled. "After all those years… I-I missed you so much!"
She rushed, as she was seeing herself as a little girl wearing a short-sleeved dress. The time felt slow, around Greta… surrounded by a sparkling-pink background.
"Aaaaahh… no one is going to wake me up from this dream…" Her mouth waved. "It's so… good…!"
She slowed down, before standing still and bending towards the hole… as her face went paler and rushed away, while screaming loudly. Bars was sweating all over, as his right wrist was-Greta jumped on his arms, while trembling widely.
"TAKE ME AWAY FROM THAT ABYSS!" Her teeth couldn't stop chattering. "N-NEVER AGAIN, I SAY! NEVER AGAIN!"
Bars sighed, as he head shook…
A cage was slowly swinging back and forth, while hanging on a wooden ceiling. Inside, Mirii was sitting on the floor while grabbing her legs and submerging her head in between them…
"… my head is going to explode, if I don't find a way out…" Her head sunk even more. "Nnnngghh… what other possible solution I missed…? Th-there must be a"
SLAM!
Her head rose back, watching Captain Roy standing in front of the room's entrance. He was holding a bottle, filled with some liquid: he brought on his mouth and drank it all the way to the end. He kept shaking the bottle in front of his opened mouth… before tossing it over the wall on the left.
"Har har har!" He grinned, as he walked while waving left and right… "I be seein' ye be lovin' yer wee house... hic!"
"Get out of my sight…" Mirii frowned, while squeezing her eyes. "I do not talk to drunken beings like you…"
"Aaarrrrr... I could teach ye th' art o' rum, if ye be one o' us... but 'tis already enough I be talkin' wi' a meat... hic!" His feet solidify on the ground, while still tilting around uncontrollably.
"Enough treating like a material!" The girl stands up, clenching her fists.
"Har, har... yer destiny be already signed... once ye will tell me more about Project Neo..." He grinned, showing his yellowish teeth.
Mirii snorted.
"I would rather be thrown into the sea, than helping your ego growing even more…" Her arms folded. "Now leave."
"You... ye dasn't want t' speak?! Aaarr... I thought ye would tell me, without much o' a resistance..." He burst into laughter, ending it with a hiccup. "No matter... I be havin' prepared a whole set o' torture devices t' use against ye..."
"Wh-what?!" Her eyes expanded. "Yo-you wouldn't dare…!"
Roy burst into laughter, bending backwards.
"You thought that ye would jus' get away from me, by preferin' th' sea? Har har har! What ye be havin' seen so far... be nothin' more than th' beginnin' o' yer nightmare... hic!"
"Grrrrr…" Mirii frowned even more, showing her white teeth. "… you don't have any idea how I wish I could twist your obese wrist around and make you suffer…"
The man turned behind, as he whistled loudly. After 5 seconds, two Stinlings rushed inside.
"My men! Take this meat inside th' Torture"
"Sir! We have a problem!" The Stingling on the left performed a military salute.
"An unidentified alien is taking down all our units!" The Stingling on the right performed a military salute.
Mirii's mouth opened wide.
"An alien?! Nay-hic! Nay! Ye must be drinkin' water! Hic!" Roy shook his fist up in the air, growning a frown on his face.
"I-I am one of the survivors, sir…!" The right Stingling shivered. "This alien was jumping all around, splatting our soldiers, except the Flyers, in one hit!"
"… I'm wondering…" Mirii cleared her voice. "How does this alien look like? Can you tell"
"I didn't thought meats could talk…!" The left Stingling chuckled.
"She neresaid a word in th' first place!" Roy swung his arm horizontally. "But enough talkin'! Rush o'er th' main room...! Prepare me weapons...! I will wait fer ye at th' gangplank...! Quick!"
"Yes, sir!" The right Stingling ran towards the room entrance.
"Roger!" The left Stingling twisted widely, rushing too.
Mirii was trembling a bit, watching the two men leaving the room…
"Har har har!"
Her eyes fell on the captain, as he was still pointing the back of his shoulders at her.
"... an alien they say? Ha! We know that this couldna be true..." Slowly, he showed his grinning face at Mirii. "… be I starboard, wee girl?"
"Wh-what are you mumbling about…?" Sweat covered Mirii's forehead.
"Har har! I be havin' a suspicion that this `alien` be somethin' ye wouldna be seein'... gettin' hurt." He bended forward, as his eyebrows moved up and down. "Especially in fore o' yer one good eye..."
The girl gasped loudly, as her hands covered her mouth and her irises shrunk. The man cough a short laughter.
"Of course, ye be still in time fer tellin' me all ye know about Project Neo... until I will leave"
"Your threats are completely ineffective!" Mirii stomped the floor, as the cage began 'dancing'. "None of us know who is this alien! For all I care, it could truly be one!" Her arms folded. "Thus, I don't see why I should let you know, if this 'motive' you are implying is not even there to begin with…!"
Silence fell in, as the man closed his smiling mouth.
"... I will return..." He turned behind, as he began walking away. "... wi' yer boyfriend in his wee cage... an' a box full o' rum."
Mirii bit her lips. The man laughed loudly, echoing throughout the room, as he crossed its entrance and closed the door back.
